It cannot be used with the original PlayStation or PSone. PlayStation 2: the "Component Video Out" option must be set to Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr" within the console's "System Configuration." This menu is accessed by booting the console without a disc. To navigate this menu, connect the standard AV cable (yellow / white / red) supplied with your PlayStation 2 console to your TV or monitor. PlayStation 2: certain software (i.e. most PlayStation 1 games and a handful of PlayStation 2 games) requires your TV or monitor to support "240p" (NTSC/60hz regions) and/or "288p" (PAL/50hz regions) over its YPbPr input(s) in order to use this product in those scenarios. PlayStation 3: the "Video Output Settings" option must be set to Component / D-Terminal" (and a supported resolution) within the console's "Display Settings" menu. To reset the PlayStation 3 to the default YPbPr compatible video mode, hold down the power button while the console is off until two beeps are heard. After the console boots, navigate to the menu and change your "Video Output Settings" as desired. |
