NEW Duplicate Listing Thread
« on: February 22, 2011, 11:03:48 am »
The old one was getting kind of long and disorganized.  I'll keep it to one post, and update it as items are found.  Post any duplicates you find below, and I'll add them to the list.
EDIT: Well, they wouldn't all fit in one post anymore, so now we have two posts.

    * Nintendo Entertainment System [NA]
None at the moment

    * Nintendo 64
None at the moment

    * PC [NA]

    * PlayStation 2 [NA]
Getaway, The (Listed twice, but with different artwork. Not sure what the deal is there.)

    * PlayStation Portable [NA]
None at the moment.

Hell, I'm not even done yet.  With all the time I'm putting in here, I should be a staff member. :)

We may be able to arrange this for a few of you guys. I'll have to work out the details.

Whew!  PS1 [NA] and XBOX [NA] are done for now.  I'm amazed at how many PS1 duplicates there are.  The section of Lightspan Educational Discs needs to be looked at by someone who knows more about them than I do.  Most have titles that are cut off so I'm not sure if they are actual duplicates or not.  I get the feeling that the PC category is going to be a pain as well...

hey now...I knocked about 10 of them off the list ha. I'm writing a new tool that'll speed up this process. Right now I have to manually search for each game and collection and update them.

Okay I wrote a new tool to help me get rid of these. From now on please list any duplicates along with their ID (which is the number you'll see in the url). Basically I can put in the old id and the new id and it'll merge everything into one listing.

So you want both ID's or just the one we want to remove?  I was able to get rid of a few NES duplicates by changing them to the 3 or 5 screw variations.
