Author Topic: Do You Ever Play A Game Series Storyline From The Beginning Than End  (Read 152 times)

I got most of the halo series games and I currently trying to play all of them in story order I just found out today that Halo Reach is actually a prequel to the first game, even though the main character is not the same
if you are curious I listed again the games according to the Halo Universe.
1. Halo: Wars
2. Halo: Reach
3. Halo: Combat Evolved
4. Halo 2
5. Halo 3: ODST
6. Halo 3
7. Halo 4
8. Halo 5: Guardians
9: Halo Wars: 2

for some reason I enjoy Shooter storylines the best but some are fractured like the Duke Nukem series games that started off as a 2D platform shooter game that went like this

1: Duke Nukum Episode 1 2 and 3 (each episode in this one game was released separately)
2: Duke Nukem II
3: Duke Nukem 3D and it's 3 official expansions
4: Duke Nukem Forever? or "Duke Nukem Time To Kill" or Duke Nukem Zero Hour?
5: Duke Nukem Land Of Babes?

doom series had the following.

1: Doom 3 and expansions
2: Ultimate Doom
3: Doom II
4: Final Doom The Plutonia Experiment
5: Final Doom TNT
6: Doom 64
7 that is as far as I went and researched on doom series

(PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY)
Life on earth is only temporary and If you believe in God and do good in life. You can continue to live with any possessions  you desire, in the afterlife, as long as you do good and don't do evil in real life.

I've played a lot of game from the first 1 to the last one, God of War, Gears of War, GTA (from III), Mass Effect, Uncharted, Hitman, Assassin's Creed... I usually like to start with the first game and go from there, but if not I usually just play the last one (Fallout 4 for example), I don't really like to play a game from the middle of the serie.

Blood Omen Legacy of Kain ps1
Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver ps1 or dreamcast
Legacy of Kain series Soul Reaver 2 ps2
Legacy of Kain series Blood Omen 2 ps2 or xbox or gamecube
Legacy of Kain Defiance ps2 or xbox

This series has two main characters Kain who stars in the Blood Omen games and his Nemesis Raziel who stars in the Soul Reaver games. They meet up in each game as this epic story unfolds then in thier last game you take turns playing as each character until it's inevitable epic conclusion.

Playing Mega Man & Mega Man X game series is one of the few. Another series is Silent Hill, although I started on II and went back to play the first, then onward with the rest in order of release.

Otherwise Can't say I go out of my way to play a game series in a particular order strictly for the storyline.

I played all 11 mainline Mega Man games last year.  I’m sure there other series, but that’s the one that sticks out as “Beginning to End”
