I've toyed with the idea of getting a 32X from time to time, but I can't justify it- the cost of the system, the costs of the 3 games I'd want to have, knowing they're aren't really more than those 3 I want, knowing that those 3 aren't the greatest of games anyway, not having the space above my genesis to accomodate it... too much money & too much hassle for not enough game. (For the curious, I'd want to have Knuckles Chaotix, Kolibiri, & Tempo.)
Other than that, everything that's already out that I want, I have. I actually picked up a Vectrex this summer & an original Gameboy in the fall to close things out. There's upcoming systems, of course- at some point I will want a PS5 and/or Xbox Scarlett, I'm interested in the Intellivision Amico, and I wait with baited breath for the Playdate preorders to open.
An atari 2600 or 7800. I want to start collecting for the Atari
The 7800 is backward compatible with the majority of the 2600 library. If you get one of those, you can start collecting for both systems.
