The descriptor is a physical thing, not an in general thing. If a descriptor is needed, something relating to the physical item, either the box or the media, can be used.
Edition names work the same way. If the physical item (ie the box) has an edition name, it can be in the title. If it doesn't, then it can't be in the title. It can be put into description instead.
The data should be presented in such a way that the user is not required to know everything about the item. A user should be able to look at the item they have in hand and be able to tell which item to add to their collection without additional research. Using a descriptor or Edition name that is not physically present on the item does not help towards this goal. If they click into the entry, the description can provide additional details, and then the "trivia" portion that the item was sold online using a specific marketing term.
