Error Listings and rejected edits 2021

Hi,
This game Forza Motorsport 3 (Bundle Copy) [DK][FI][NO][SE] (https://vgcollect.com/item/155937)

...is clearly erroneously listed under the wrong platform: "PlayStation 3 [EU]"

Could someone move it to the correct platform?:  "Xbox 360 [EU]"

You can change the platform yourself. There should be no reason why this would be rejected as it is clearly in the wrong category.

MY BAD.
Because when you create a DB entry the platform is locked from modification during editing -- I assumed the same must be true when trying to modify an entry.
Sorry to hassle.

I think that happens if you take too long uploading an entry. Might be wrong on that though.

Thanks mate, I've edited some details on that entry now. Hopefully it'll work when it's reviewed.

Edir: Sadly it didn't work, I tried creating an entry for NHL 2K7 (XBOX EU) and the same thing happened. I added other titles today without trouble

Blank entry was removed. All edits to blank entries get rejected because the entry cannot be verified. Whether a blank exists or doesn't, it appears the same to us. It shows as an edit to an entry that doesn't exist.

If at the time you created them, and you put images onto the entry. If the images are too large, a timeout occurs and can cause it. Max image size should be 300 KB if you are having this issue.

Hey,

The front and back box arts of the Nintendo GameCube component cable are obviously not genuine: https://vgcollect.com/item/111702
For the most obvious part: I highly doubt Nintendo ever realased anything packaged in a transparent plastic bag labeled “Genuine Nintendo spare part.”

Yet, when I point this out and try to edit the item with scans of my own copy, I get rejected for “Incorrect information” for the front box art, “Incorrect box art” for the back one.
My scans are allegedly less 200px wide, in jpg format, and the largest in 840kB, way less than the 2MB limit; here they are:



I understand these scans aren’t the best one could get, but my copy is not in really great shape and, at least for the back box art, you will hardly find any other one online.

May I actually know why this gets rejected in favor of an obvious unofficial package, so that I can get it accepted?

It exists. Item conversion is not allowed.

The entry for the item you have there (apparently) does not exist in the db, you can create it as Nintendo Component Video Cable.

My bad then, I always assumed this was the japanese stuff unofficially repackaged by US resellers to get rid of the japanese branding.

Well it could be legit, it could be a boot. I can't say, I don't own the item. But it does exist and importantly, it has its own packaging.

We allow entries for boots, so there is no problem with this one even if it was repackaged.
