In no particular order...

- Resident Evil 7
- Resident Evil 2 Remake
- Dead Space
- Dead Space 2
- Resident Evil 4
- F.E.A.R.
- The Evil Within 2
- SOMA

Not quite a full 10 as certain series I wouldn't count as "horror" like Metro, Half-Life, etc, and I'm not sure what I'd else I'd put.  Like I've played a couple Fatal Frame games, but never beat any to really count them.  I'll have to think of what I'd work in.

No particular order too (I love them all it's impossible to rank them !)  :)

- Silent Hill 3
- Rule of Rose
- Project Zero 3
- Yomawari
- Siren : Blood Curse
- Haunting Ground
- Resident Evil 2 (original)
- Resident Evil 4
- Obscure
- White Day

Honorable mention : Lone Survivor, Gregory Horror Show, Calling, Clock Tower 3, Silent Hill series in general, Project Zero series, Resident 7 and Code Veronica, Alan Wake (but i don't consider it as a pure survival horror game), The Last Door (same here, this is more of a point n click with a horror atmosphere, otherwise it would be on the top 10 list), 2Dark (like The Last Door, more of a infiltration and puzzle game with really creepy atmosphere) Eternal Darkness, Alone in the Dark : New Nightmare...

what, rank them? cruel! Can't do that, but here's 10 I lurrrrve:

*Resi - obvious, 4/5/Revelations 2 in particular.
*Silent Hill - ditto, 2 in particular.
*Haunting Ground - always, a real gem.
*Clock Tower - SNES game (emulated) or CT3, we didn't get 2 over here and haven't played the first PS1 game.
*Dead Space - just the first and the Wii shooter, hated 2 and 3 with a passion.
*I Have no Mouth and I Must Scream - never actually played it, but the longplay on Youtube has been my go-to for relaxing or even going to sleep for something like a decade.
*Space Gun - gorgeous light gun game.
*Rule of Rose - Genuinely unsettling survival horror.
*Gregory Horror Show - comedy horror, tastes a lot like survival horror gameplay, a real gem.
*Dante's Inferno - Horror slash em up, featuring lots of genuinely horrifying things, not least Satan's wobbling meat and two veg  :o

There's loads more, I love horror games, but they're probably my fave 10.

There's plenty of good horror-based games out there that I've yet to try, so my list more or so breaks the mold since it kind of is all over the place. These are some games I've played and beaten or played a considerable amount that I think do a great job at doing horror-related things. Horror is subjective, after all.

In no particular order...

Drakengard (Clusterfuck of awesomeness!)
Resident Evil 4 (I played the first one ages ago, and loved it.)
Onimusha: Warlords (This series is basically Resident Evil in feudal Japan.)
Devil May Cry / Chaos Legion (I know I'm kind of cheating, but these two are sort of interchangeable, so to speak.)
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
Cold Fear
Extermination
Metroid Fusion (The atmosphere in Super Metroid is equally good.)
Akuji the Heartless (Voodoo/hoodoo stuff.)
Dino Crisis

As a kid, going through Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask set off a sense of trepidation that I think was done very well, and that feeling remains true to this day. I'm also trying to get my hands on Manhunt and The Suffering games. Not particularly into horror-centric games, but those happen to tickle my fancy.

I know your every move behind this face; I have control over expendable slaves.
When confrontation comes down to the wire, I'll use my cyclotrode to commence the fire.
You're never gonna get me!
