While some of this is no longer in my collection, I'll post everything I've had to replace and repair that I can remember...
REPLACE:
- PS1 system (original had to be turned up-side-down to work)
- PS2 Launch system (original was getting some disc read errors. Upgraded to Slim before Fat could die)
- PS2 controller (my own damn fault)
- PS3 60GB launch system (disc drive died. Replaced with 120GB slim)
- PS3 controller (my own damn fault. Learned to stop raging after this)
- Gamecube system (disc drive died; replaced with first Wii system)
- Wii system (disc drive died)
REPAIR:
- Game Gear (capacitors needed to be replaced which leaked and ate through motherboard which got replaced)
- Game Gear games (while not broken, I went ahead and took them apart and gave the connectors a good cleaning)
- Various PS1 games got resurfaced. Can't remember exactly which ones.
- Jaguar controller (got on eBay. Connectors were bent to hell. Used needle nose pliers to straighten)
- PS2 controller (attempted to fix after raging. Didn't work. Had to replace.)
You'll notice that there are no Xbox products listed above. That's due to only owning the first Xbox for one month, being disgusted with the Halo 2 community, and then selling it and never looking to the brand again. Saved me a lot of money. Jaguar and NES probably needed to be repaired as they both had the red blinky light of doom for many of the games I tried to play on them. They were sold as is on eBay a few years ago. Everything else in my collection.... never had a problem with. It's amazing how well my Sega systems have held up and how the PS4 has been reliable. Probably just jinxed myself though.
