I can't add any information, but I can confirm its release status after finding a copy on Yahoo Japan Auctions. The game is just titled Morita Shogi. Morita Shogi 64 is the Nintendo 64 release.

Great, I put it in a Morita Shogi - Hudson's Palm OS Software Series Vol.3

Unfortunately European countries are blocked from Japanese Yahoo.
