The newest Hulu season of Futurama is a big step up from the previous one (which I didn't hate, but it was just... fine).  Several good episodes,  with at least one that I'd say was borderline great.  Still not a fan of how they shoehorn an Anthology episode into each season now.

There was an animated series a couple of years ago based on the Poorly Drawn Lines comic strip series.  The first episode is pretty weak, but it finds its footing pretty quick and has at least one good laugh per 11 minute episode.  It's not quite as good as the strip, but it's only 10 episodes long and worth checking out.

Finally caught up with some anime stuff, particularly One Piece up till the break in the Egghead arc, gonna probably wait to watch the Fishman Island remake, and I did watch the little one off fan letter episode, which was very nice.

I also caught up with My Hero Academia and didn't realize they were ending this season mid action to have one more season lol  This season was cool, basically all action, I've been slightly spoiled on some stuff at the very end of the manga, mostly the epilogue, but glad I didn't get spoiled on much of this whole final arc.  I like that a lot of Class 1-A got time to shine in different ways, some less than others, but they were always characters on the lower end and some that I didn't ever expect to have importance, gained some in a big way, which is cool.  I've always enjoyed MHA, it's not my favorite, but its usually done enough to keep me interested and it has some solid high points when it all comes together right.

I know there's a new movie that just hit theater, so there's that to watch when it releases, then the final season. Kinda curious if they are gonna do the Vigilante spinoff as a show or even just do a new version of MHA.  Time skip stuff with a new crew could be interesting, maybe have it be anime original stuff.  It's a fun setting to play around in.

Just finished the first season of Detroiters, and while I find it pretty funny I believe Tim Robinson's style of humor works better in smaller sketches like in I Think You Should Leave.

Second season of Detroiters worked a bit better for me than the first.  Episodes felt more cohesive, and the absurdity just hit in a way the first one didn't.

Watched the Mike Tyson Jake Paul Fight.  Wasn't pleased.

Season 6 of Line of Duty finally showed up on a streaming service I have.  Unlike most British cop showsthat flame out after 2-3 years, this one is still really solid. It has gotten a hair repetitive, but the overall quality has remained pretty consistent.

Started monsters a series on the Menendez Brothers. If you have curiosity on them. It's a brutal but entertaining watch. It takes liberties but overall it paints two sides of the story.  Does a vivid job in painting them as evil.  Then immediately twists it to be about the sad underbelly underneath. Dark enough it made me cry.

Overall. Reccomended. Its deep. And has ignited feelings none of the other true crime docs have.

Penguin is fantastic.  I was worried that the hype around it wasn't going to match up, that happens sometimes for me, but this works, it's a great crime drama and this version of Penguin is just the most absolutely irredeemable, cruel, slimy, piece of garbage possible, a true villain.  Collin Farrell is amazing in the role, like he just disappears into this character completely.  Great story too, it's all very grounded, but because it's in this Gotham setting, there's just this extra bit of crazy to it, but they never go full on with it like the Gotham show did.  Before I wasn't sure how much I wanted another ground Batman setting, I like Batman when it's more like the animated series, but "The Batman" was great, this is great, I can't wait for more in this setting.

Echo - There are several aspects of this that stand toe-to-toe with the Netflix shows - the action, the overall street level storytelling, several characters.  It still has some Disney-fied aspects, botches the landing, and it feels disjointed at times (it's somehow both too short and too long), though.  I hope Alaqua Cox gets more work, because she's phenomenal.

Arcane Season 2 Act 1 & 2 - Technically not over, but just binged through them.  It's insane how good this show is, like it's do everything right.  Great characters, great story, standout visuals, that this is in a television show (One that's wildly expensive and it shows), is nuts.  So much good music, action, mystery, and I'm tearing up and it's not even the end of the season, the final act out in 2 days.  What a damn good show.

The side stories in Solar Opposites are starting to run their course - especially the Silvercops.  The Wall / Yard isn't as bad, but they probably need to wrap it up.  The main stories are mostly pretty solid, though, and I find myself looking forward to this more than Rick and Morty, which is too cynical.

They pulled no punches with the end of Arcane.  What a damn good show this is.  I know this isn't the end of Arcane entirely, they tease a lot of stuff at the end for where stories will go, expanding past Piltover that we've stayed with, bringing in more characters and new stories to experience, I'm on board for whatever.  I always thought League had cool characters, but never an interesting way to experience the world, so if we can get quality shows, maybe they'll attempt them in different styles (Arcane is apparently one of the most expensive animated shows ever), but if they can still give good stories and characters, I'm into it.

I liked Gen V way more than I thought I would.  It hits a lot of the high school style drama I expected, but it never loses the edge of its parent series, The Boys.  I really liked how the story evolved and how it utilized some X-Men story tropes.

Season 4 of The Boys is an overall step down.  It's still entertaining, but it leans way more towards spectacularly on the nose satire and general comedy.  Performances are still great (especially Starr as Homelander), and I like watching it, but something was off.
