I don't really have a gaming goal. The closest I can think of is maybe to finally write a program that can automatically refactor Major League Manager rosters instead of having to do it manually every time.

As for collection goal, I'll be honest and say it will probably involve me downsizing considerably. Having gone all out on the 52 Games challenge the past couple of years has really shown to me that I don't really like most of the games that I have. I've also fallen onto into the convenience trap where I'm much more likely to just play games on my computer than fiddle around on a console. Part of that reason is the unreliability of my AVRs, they aren't working properly anymore thus I can't play games on them. Also my life is going in a different direction and I haven't really been playing anything. I played Diablo III last night for a few hours and that was the first time in exactly 6 months that I played a game. I'm still not counting MLM because that's more of a project.

Speaking from experience, I have no regrets downsizing over the last few years. Downsizing has made me appreciate what I did end up keeping even more and also freed up a decent amount of space. In a weird sort of way, it made me also enjoy games more since it helped me refocus on the games I actually wanted to play versus the games I wanted to own. I still really care about physical ownership of my games, but at least with retro games, I use ODEs and flashcarts most of the time out of convenience. But yeah, I definitely have been somewhat disenchanted with collecting for a while now.

I am focused on getting more N64 games. I have 180ish out of 296. now I have a 64DD too, but i lack the Retail version. I really want to get a whole set of each of these. Definitely not easy on the 64 DD. I have 8 out of the 10 disks already.

Wow, I always wondered: how are those DD-games? How do they play? Are they good?  :o

They are pretty fun for the most part. The communications disc and randnet discs are the least usable discs. I like mario artist paint etc. Doshin 1 and sim city 64 need more Japanese to enjoy. I know a lot of basic Japanese. I wish I knew more though. All I need is doshin 2 and japan pro golf tour 64.

Around fall of 2024 I swore that I wouldn't buy another video game for a year, time FLEW buy and I had less struggle with it than I expected. I'm tempted to extend the challenge for another year. However, I still don't have a copy of Halo 4, and I just found out that the H4 Game of The Year edition which I have been weirdly drawn to for years is about 8 bucks on ebay (there isn't any exclusive content for me since it was all in the form of download codes  :( , yet the cover looks cool and I just love feeling like I have the most complete version of the game in a GOTY edition).

With generally not planning to buy games or even have time for playing them next semester (Past more Mario party nights off of Switch Online n64 with my roommates) the only things I can see myself picking up realistically are peripherals and the like.

I still only have one ps3 controller, and while all my games are still singleplayer, it would be forward thinking to have another. Likewise with the xbox 360, I need a few more if I am going to have a Halo reach LAN party like I am planning.

I have a copy of pokemon silver from a family friend with a dead save battery. At some point in time I need to go through the effort of replacing it, but I am intimidated by the task.

Widdle my ps4 list down to the final 100 titles (I've about 250 left for the set at present).

Grab some more PS1 longbox titles. I have 50+ titles left to finish the longbox set.

Obtain some missing guncon sets and namco peripherals on PS1 and PS2.

Do some work on my game room Reno (electrical, lighting, flooring, bathroom...)

Play some more games. Fix PS4 Kiosk TV. Get some switch boxes for multiple consoles on CRT component line. Get Dual link ps1 and ps2 setup for lightgun and link cable games. Get pulldown Projector screen. Get pullout bed sofa seating and gaming chairs.

PSX LEGACY

A Physical Chronicle of games for posterity.
