Over the past few weeks I've noticed that when I start a new topic it fails to show up under the category as most recent. It seems like someone has to post to the thread in order for it to show up as most recent.

Ya I've noticed this since the beginning. It's a total flaw of this software, one of the reasons I've grown to dislike it.

Yeah it's a bug I reported and is already fixed in the new beta release. The beta release has been out for about a month now but I'm waiting for a stable build before we update.
