I'd say the list has at least a few weak games and a number of average games but we clearly all enjoy different types of games. I can probably add a few sequels to games already on the list, and there are other decent games that I might suggest simply because we're going to 100. I never did get too far in Metropolis Street Racer but I think it's a good game. There is one game I'm surprised hasn't made it to the list yet. I didn't play enough of it to suggest it, I just thought it was popular. Not saying what it is so that I don't influence someone's pick. |

That's over 40% of the domestic library. I think 50 would have been more appropriate. However, I still have a few since imports are open. But "best" kind of loses its meaning when half the games are listed as the "best". Technically, this would be "above average". So, mathematically, this is the 100 above average Dreamcast games. 1. It had a large library. And many companies continued to make games even after Sega had pulled the plug. Dreamcast has a VERY large library in comparison to other consoles of the same lifetime. Depending on how you count, there are between 241 and a little over 250 (comes from lordnikon from onlineconsoles, although I have never seen his list). This is a small library. It's a good library. But small for a top 100. This is the type of list that will list a lot of sequels. Sometimes it is appropriate. But when you have every Tony Hawk, every Resident Evil, every Capcom game, etc, there is not much room for the fun controversy of what games should have made the list. Now dipping into imports brings us to 361 titles. This was frowned upon in the other lists, but I feel is the right thing to do for this list. I do agree that there is not a lot of junk.
