Not sure about this one....

There were a bunch of third party controllers (primarily Hori, Hudson & ASCII) made to plug into the serial port, but on the original Famicom model the main controllers were hardwired.

I got a bunch yesterday, don't worry. I know there's a backlog. :)

Hey mastafafik, what's up with this entry? http://vgcollect.com/item/63551
If it's "not compatible with USA and PAL" shouldn't it be listed under a different region and not EU? What language is written on the box?  Japanese boxes are vertical and China didn't get the N64. I'm really curious to know where it's from. -Edit: and JP 64 games are technically compatible with US systems.

China didn't get the system, but Hong Kong did.

The last poster in that thread says that "a text on the N64 claims it will not work with US or EURO N64 consoles..." Judging from the photos there, the carts have Japanese region slots so they won't fit in a US or PAL system. Plus, NES World says that Japanese and US carts won't work in European systems because they have different lockout chips. So it should work on a US system with a cart passthrough adapter, but it won't work on an European system.

The game should be moved to N64 (JP) or a new subcategory should be created.

The printed label on the box says: "Asian version not for sale and use in Japan. Not compatible with USA and PAL version Nintendo 64 control deck. "
There is no Asian (Hong Kong) N64 category, so I put it into EU.  Same like this one http://vgcollect.com/item/63261 . There is no Asian category. As I know the Asian NES version NESA-001 is a a copy of the European PAL model, but on the game box is written: " This Game Pak can only be used with Nintendo Entertainment System Asian version (model:NESA-001)."

Okay, okay, I wasn't complaining about the item.  :'(

Though I thought we had a NES (Asia) category. I don't usually browse that section so I had no clue.
