I saw this deal at groupon this morning. Seems like a good deal? If I had some extra cash I'd probably get one.

That's an okay price, but I've heard mixed things about the emulator itself.

Yeah I can't speak for the quality of it, though I did read that any of the game volumes or the megapack upgrades the firmware on the thing. It's supposed to be somewhat better at least.

Only problem is that sometimes the firmware update either doesn't take or could brick the unit.

That does indeed sound bad! Either way, I'm too broke to get one at the moment anyways

I've heard that it's nothing but an overpriced emulator (and I've heard the emulation isn't even good in all games) in a portable case. I haven't played it myself, but if you're gonna pay for emulation, why not pay a lot less and just get the collections?

SNK Arcade Classics, Samurai Shodown Anthology, Metal Slug Anthology, and King of Fighters Orochi Saga covers a TON of SNK games for a whole lot cheaper. 4 game collections that can be easily found for a good price.

It's tempting for me at this price. I want the mega pack and an extra system is never a bad thing.
