adding photos to posts

Sorry for the newb type question but whats the easiest way to add photos to a post?  Is there a way to link from Google+ or is there a way to directly upload a photo.  Wow I didn't realize its been so long I've posted to a forum.  Thanks in advance!

Find the image URL and paste it down. Highlight the URL text and click on the Insert Image button. Tags should appear around the URL and.... your done.

Upload your photos to Imgur, then when that's done it'll give you a bunch of code. Copy the stuff enclosed in IMG brackets, paste it in a message, and click preview to make sure it's working. Some image hosts don't like forums.

Thanks for the help.  I was about to post to Imgur but then I figured out how to get the proper link from picasa.  It works now but the image is insanely huge.  Things seemed easier when I used to frequent forums before.  Then again it might just be my horrible memory messing with me.
