What the hell is going on right now?!


As I mentioned in my last post I've played two of the very best games I've ever played in my entire life just the last two months. One of those games was Castlevania: Symphony of the Night which is a game many already knew was excellent, but playing this during October I got to find out for myself just how incredible it was. And then just a few days ago I beat Shenmue III which is the follow up to my two favorite games of all time. While Shenmue III didn't make the grade of the first two games, it was still outstanding and mostly everything I ever wanted from a game I've spent almost two decades lusting over. And then there was the game I just beat.


I got Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order the day after it came out after hearing from both Video Game Critics and people in the Star Wars community that it was an incredible game. The latter endorsement is what really sold me on it however since many of these same people have been equally, if not more unhappy with the direction Star Wars has taken over the last few years. But I started playing this game and was blown away by how good it was in every way, especially in terms of the story and feel of the game which is probably the most Star Wars anything has felt for me since Revenge of the Sith came out. I took a break from the game to beat Shenmue III, but I returned to it a few days ago and was absolutely blown away by this game! I literally cried at a couple parts, and then there's the countless times I laughed or began fanboying out like crazy. Not only is this an incredible Star Wars game, but just an incredible video game in general. So much so that it cracked my top 10 games of all time.


When I bought this game I assumed I'd like it for the most part, but I never in my wildest dreams imagined it even rubbing shoulders with even my top 20 games. But here it is, relatively high up at that. Well done EA, Respawn and Lucasfilm! Please, please make more games like this in the future
