Updated my list because I just finished off Rogue Legacy! :D
"When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed
if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I
became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the
desire to be very grown up.” ― C.S. Lewis

I had seen threads for beaten games, but just "played" games is a great idea too! Especially since a lot of older games don't really have an end. I'll split my list into 2:

Beaten:
??/?? - Super Smash Brothers (3DS/Wii U) (I'm going to consider that unlocking all characters and clearing all game modes is beating it...? Unlocking all trophies and challenges would be 100%-ing it.)
01/?? - Hyrule Warriors (Wii U)
02/15 - The Legend of Zelda (3DS virtual console)
02/22 - Link's Awakening (GB)
03/14 - Minish Cap (3DS virtual console)
03/22 - Mousecraft (PS4)
03/28 - Super Mario 3D World (Wii U)
04/24 - Persona 4: Golden (Vita)
04/26 - Tearaway (Vita)
05/24 - Touch My Katamari (Vita)
06/13 - The Playroom (PS4)
06/22 - Splatoon (Wii U)
06/29 - Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box (DS)
06/29 - Book of Spells (PS3)
07/15 - Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition (PS4)
10/17 - Pokémon: Alpha Sapphire (3DS)
10/27 - Costume Quest 2 (PS4)
11/01 - Tearaway Unfolded (PS4)
11/28 - Sword Art Online: Lost Song (Vita)
12/27 - Eternal Sonata (PS3)
12/27 - Professor Layton and the Unwound Future (DS)
12/29 - Persona 4: Dancing All Night (Vita)
12/31 - Fat Princess Adventure (PS4)

Played/playing:
Tomodachi Life (3DS)
NES Remix (Wii U)
NES Remix II (Wii U)
Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare (PS4)
Fortune Street (Wii)
Pokémon Art Academy (3DS)
Pokémon Rumble World (3DS)
Lego The Hobbit (PS4)
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D (3DS)
htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary (Vita)
Plants VS Zombies (PS3)
Tales of Hearts R (Vita)
The Legend of Zelda II (3DS Virtual Console)
Banjo Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge (GBA)
Mighty Switch Force (3DS)
Minecraft (PS3/PS4)
Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth (3DS)
Walking With Dinosaurs (PS3)
Super Mario Maker (WiiU)
Yoshi's Woolly World (WiiU)
Zelda: Triforce Heroes (3DS)
Pokémon Picross (3DS)
Nintendo Badge Arcade (3DS)
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (DS)

Total beaten/played: 23/47

I doubt I'll reach 52 completed games this year, but it's fun to track things in any case. I think now I'm on a mission to play through all of the Mary-Kate and Ashley games. (Any recommendations?)

#1  2/18/2015 Mary-Kate and Ashley Crush Course (PS1 on PS3)
The PS1 is part of the generation of consoles I totally skipped when it was new, so now I'm going back to have a laugh at early 3D graphics. This game was surprisingly hard for a kids' game. While frustrating at times, I persevered because I absolutely had to know who had a crush on me. (It was Brent.)

#2  2/20/2015 Hoshi no Kirby (GB)
Kirby's Adventure (NES) is one of my all-time favorite games, so it was a real tragedy that I hadn't played through the original Game Boy Kirby until now. The game is super-short (I beat it on my first-ever playthrough in about 40-ish minutes), but it's absolutely beautiful. All Game Boy games should look and sound this good.

#3  2/27/2015 Zero Zero (PC)

#4  3/10/2015 To Build a Better Mousetrap (PC)

#5  3/31/2015 Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 (PS3)
Currently working on getting all the different endings becaaauuuuse I don't know.

#6 4/19/2015 Style Savvy: Trendsetters (3DS)
Such a nice game; really looking forward to the third installment in this series. (Really wishing the boyfriend DLC for Trendsetters had been released in the US, though.)

#7 6/3/2015 Kirby's Adventure (NES on Wii U)
My favorite game gets yet another playthrough! Always finding new things to enjoy about this game.

#8 7/11/2015 Pop Cutie! Street Fashion Simulation (DS on 3DS)
A super-underrated fashion game by Koei. More challenging and weirder than Style Savvy.

Game 4 - Majora's Mask 3DS - Playing
Hoping to get the beat this weekend as I'm really wanting to say I beat it.  I never did as a kid cause I didn't like the time aspect to it, still not a huge fan of such things, but I've managed to work with it in certain games these days and feel I could appreciate it more.

Y'all can leave the back half of the NES library to me.  I'm going to get my Complete NES Review back up and going in a month or so.  I'll do waaaay more than 52.

6: Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition (Story Mode) (PC) - 2015 / 02 / 20

Its been 23 years since the series began and it's still as annoying and unforgiving as ever. :P

Update 2-21-15:

Game #7: Wolfenstein: The New Order (PS3) Beaten on 2-19-15
This was a great game! The final boss was a bit of a letdown though.

Game #8: Gunman Clive 2 (3DS eShop) Beaten on 2-21-15
Beaten with Clive. Much better and harder than the original!

Update 2-22-15:
Game #9: Cave Story (3DS eShop) Beaten on 2-22-15
This game was amazing! Great story, challenging but fun gameplay and an awesome soundtrack!
