Searching for good songs
« on: May 25, 2015, 12:10:33 am »
Are there any good old songs from like the 1960's through the 1990's? I'm trying to expand my music listening. I want some funk or something like that. Any help will be great.

The Village People - Go West

You could give Gibson Brothers, KC and The Sunshine Band, Sylvester, Alicia Bridges, Gloria Gaynor a try.

But why stop at the 1960s? You gotta go until 1860s at least.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZfiyMKWPYs (Ratatat: Tropicana)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yca2BCwAnBQ (Tom Jones: It's not unusual)

Anything by Queen, The Beatles or Elvis. Maybe the BeeGees as well. Ratatat is fantastic but it's early 2000s

It doesn't matter really when it's from because I don't want people to recognize the sample.
