-Fallout 4
-Metal Gear Solid V
-Undertale
-Dying Light
-Ori and The Blind Forest

What are the worst 5 games you played in 2015?
-Xenoblade Chronicles 3DS
-How To Survive: Third Person Standalone

-Grey Goo

What system did you play the most games on this year?
-PC (24)

What game did you spend the most time on this year?
-Metal Gear Solid 5 (151 Hours)

Didn't end up getting to 52, only scratching the surface of 30 for games played/beaten.  I got plans to try more for next year, especially since we can start right at the beginning of the new year this time, which will give us a full month and a half more play time.  I'm still gonna try and focus on beating games as my list of 30, is only actually 23 games with the main story aspect completed.

Was this based on games beaten or just games played?

Either is fine.
Based on this, I have or will have met the 52 games.

I may have to verify the last two.  I couldn't pick more than 1 bad game, but then I started thinking and realized there were 6, and I couldn't justify knocking any of them off of the list... and since I did that, I added a 6th game to the top list.  I remembered Need For Speed and had to add it.  lol

Top 5 6 7 games played this year:
  • Fallout 4
  • Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
  • Her Story
  • Fallout New Vegas (Mostly mods)
  • Rocket League
  • Super Mario Maker
  • The Fall (This game surprised me with how good it was)

Bottom 5 6 7 games played this year:
  • Mario Party 10 (I hate the whole moving as a group thing, but Bowser mode is interesting
  • Pokemon Shuffle (Fairly solid game, but the paywall/wait-times suck, I'd rather just pay for a copy)
  • Fallout Shelter (Great game, but I spent a lot of time in it and then everything just died in like an instant, and then I wasted a lot of time to get it all back, I felt pretty empty having wasted that much time in it)
  • MiddleEarth: Shadow of Mordor (The 10ish hours I put into the game, I felt like the game had no purpose, you'd kill orcs and then some other orc would take their place, endless killing orcs with no actual shrinking of the "organization" or "tree" idk.  I liked Mercenaries where as you killed targets you removed them from the playing field, nobody replaced them, it just kind of killed it for me)
  • Dying Light (Similar to Dead Island, I just couldn't dig this game, I want a zombie game, but nobody does zombie games in a manner that I can dig.)
  • Splatoon (I respect that Nintendo went out on a limb with this one and made a surprise hit, but with almost no local multiplayer, this game plain sucks for, imo, the usual Nintendo crowd who do couch co-op and family multiplayer)
  • Need For Speed (beta) (The lack of a pause button kills this franchise for me at this point, I'm sure all EA games are at this point, I'm looking forward to Mirror's Edge, but I fear they may make it an always on game, in which case I have no choice but to skip what seems to be the game I am most looking forward to)

System I Played the most games on:
I spent a lot of time on Fallout 4 on Xbone, I spent a lot of time on Metal Gear Solid 5 on PS4, and I spent a lot of time on PC playing steam titles and Fallout New Vegas, I don't think I spent nearly as much time on Wii U at least it doesn't feel that way. I misread the statement.  It appears Xbone by a mile with 17 games.

Game most played:
I'd say Fallout 4 or Metal Gear Solid V.  Fallout 4 has been my nonstop go to since release, so a little under a month so far, but I played Metal gear shortly after release and then got back into it around mid October and played that til Fallout 4 came out... a little over a month in MGS and still have time left in the year for Fallout 4.  I'd have to see if MGS has a stats that tells me how long I played.

Interesting. I guess I'll participate since work is meh right now.

Top 5 games played in 2015:
1. Atelier Shallie: Alchemist of Dusk Sea - PS3
2. Dark Souls - PS3
3. Romancing SaGa 3 - Super Famicom
4. Lufia 2 - Super Nintendo
5. Rule of Rose - PS2

Worst 5 games played in 2015:
1. Eternal Ring - PS2
2. Dance Dance Revolution Extreme- PS2
3. Orphen: Scion of Sorcery - PS2
4. Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven - 3DS
5. Tales of Zestiria - PS4

Systems I played the most games on:
PS2 - I think it was 15...I can't recall.

Game spent the most time on:
Tales of Zestiria - 80 or so hours in order to get the platinum. And, I know I listed it in my "worst" category, but I still enjoyed it in bits and pieces. It just lacked the Tales of feeling that I'm used to and there were so many things wrong with it that it ended up being a huge disappointment.

I paid a pretty penny for it, but I enjoyed every moment.

It's hard to justify paying over $50 for games.  I've only done it a handful of times, not including collector's editions.

Mega Man X3
Mega Man 7
Earthbound
Chrono Trigger
Mega Man X2
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

Seems to be a trend that I'm a sucker for SNES games.

TBF, I sold games to fund the purchases of all of these.  I'll have to try to sell off my dupes to get that.  Same thing with Chibi Robo, Haunting Ground, and a few other pricey games.

Again, separate from the 52 game Challenge, let's give this a shot

Top 5 games played in 2015:
1. Final Fantasy III (DS)
2. Skullgirls (PC)
3. Splatoon (Wii U)
4. Psychonauts (Xbox)
5. EarthBound Beginnings (Wii U)

Worst 5 games played in 2015:
1. Alien vs. Predator: The Last of His Clan (GB) - Slow and floaty, just how I like my platformers...
2. Chaos Legion (PS2) - I can't think of anything snarky to say about this, it just wasn't very engaging at all.
3. Mario Party 7 (GCN) - Urghh, where's the Nintendo 64?
4. Rodea: The Sky Soldier (Wii U) - Wow! this game got off to a rough start, haven't played much but it really isn't all that interesting of a game
5. Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg (GCN)- I didn't really hate this game, I just kind of wish I bought Super Monkey Ball instead

Systems I played the most games on:
Wii U with 10 games, that include 3 Virtual Console titles, if you don't count that, then it's PlayStation with 8 titles

Game spent the most time on:
I'm gonna hazard a guess and say it's probably Super Smash Bros. Wii U

Do you mean it's hard for you to justify paying something higher than 50? Since your wife seems to want it, you can make it an anniversary present or something. If she's happy, you'll be happy if you get my drift. ^.~ Eh? Eh?

Anyways, like I said, it was worth it. I had such a great time with that game since it was so unique. It wasn't perfect, but man was it memorable.

Nah, I think my wife wouldn't be very happy if I did that.  If I can get it cheap, trade for it, or subsidize the cost by selling stuff, she'd be cool with it.  But not just plain dropping $200 to get her a copy.

It's going for 200 now?!

Weird how things change in a matter of months.
