Well it doesn't matter which you say is a dupe. We keep the one with the most info, or the one that requires the least amount of editing to fix once merged. So really, we look at both.

Art of Fallout was entered by me and someone else as a dupe (2 months later), but mine was considered the dupe (less information), but i'm satisfied because it looks nicer in my gallery

Well then...I guess in the grand scheme of things it isn't a dupe after all.  I mean, I'd maintain that it was and consider things like the color of a ESRB box to be largely superficial/overly technical but I don't have much of a say in the matter.

Kirby Planet Robobot has been added twice for Europe. I originally added it, but apparently someone added it at the exact same time as me (because I did check whether it was already added).

The first one was added by me and only features the logo, but I did that because there isn't any official European box art available yet. I set it to 'Unreleased (but official)' because the game isn't out yet. Furthermore, I added 'platforming' as the genre and 2016 as the year of release.
The second one features the American box art. It's set to 'Official release' and it doesn't feature any genre or release date.

Isn't the bigger difference the fact that one variant is a gold cover while the other is blue...? I'm assuming the blue one is the later printing as those seem to be found more easily as a sealed copy.
