In my region we have various Facebook pages where people give away free stuff. People simply put whatever they have on there, if you want it you can comment on it, and after a while the poster announces a winner. A few days ago someone posted a box filled with CD-ROMS. I commented, and I won. It was a big hassle getting it home by bike, but I now have it!
Most of the software is for Windows 95. A lot of it was either burned at home, or was for educational use (like Encarta). There were also a ton of burned copies from a series named 'Twilight'. I never heard of it, but apparently it's a collection of multiple PC games? I don't know.
After going through it, along with some other software discs, I got these games (all of them original and not burned at home):
- AIRLINES
- Verover de Oudheid (Ancient Conquest)
- Exciting Moments of Nature: Videopuzzles
- FlipperMania: 4 Verschillende Flipperkasten op uw PC (FlipperMania: 4 Different Pinball Machines on your PC)
- Legpuzzels 3: voor de kids vanaf 4 jaar (Jigsaw Puzzles 3: for the kids ages 4 and up)
- Looney Tunes: Back in Action (promotional CD-ROM) [NL] 2x
- NASCAR Racing
- PC-Gamehits! vol. 34: Platypus
- PC-Gamehits! vol. 10: Waveball
- Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc (promotional Demo disc)
- Redline Racer
- Road Rash
- Screamer
- Top 60 Racing
Clearly the previous owner was a fan of racing games. I gave all the burned copies and other discs I didn't want to my grandma. She frequently has some creative afternoons with retired elders where they craft all kinds of stuff. You'll be surprised what nice things you can make with two CDs pasted together.
In the meanwhile, I now have 14 Windows 95 games to try out. I just finished my exams, so I have some time to kill. Perfect timing!
