If I were to do such a thing, I would want an industrial type power strip, something that looks like this:

Any power strip where you can put in multiple bricks without covering up other sockets is the way to go. These types of power strips can be mounted directly onto a wall, or a shelf/rack like in that picture. I have used these types of power strips in my company's production facilities, and thought it would be great for this kind of thing.
I don't have multiple consoles, or a large amount, hooked up to any one television. Instead, I have multiple televisions about the house, and limit what I plug into them.
