Home from Midwest Gaming Classic and I picked up an extremely rare game console.
It was a lot of fun and day one I barely bought anything just because not many people would do any deals especially on anything rare. But on day two people where more willing to deal and give some decent discounts and I added a few more rare games to my collection.
Wal-Mart had a ton of Disney Infinity 2.0 Hiro figures on clearance for $2.50 so I bought one.
Picked up a Retron 5 3-in-1 Adapter just so I can play GameGear on a TV.
PS4- Persona 5 - Take Your Heart Premium Edition
- Killing Floor 2
- Deponia
- Mirror's Edge Catalyst (on clearance for $10)
Wii UThis was on clearance for $10 at Wal-Mart.
- Skylanders Superchargers - Starter Set
PS2I kinda ordered this game blindly, It was listed as comes with box and manual but no picture, it was priced a lot less then any other I've seen online so I took a chance. It comes brand new sealed.
Seen this game appear many times on weird & controversial video games lists, its basically one of those Japanese graphic novel games but your choices change the outcome of the story. What makes the game weird is you can make the students commit suicide or drive them to kill other students. It's all in Japanese so I will have no idea what I'm doing so this might be fun. lol
- School Days LXH
GBAStopped in a local Gamestop and saw a bunch of GBA games. I see two that I needed priced way below Ebay.
- Mega Man Battle Network 6: Cybeast Gregan
- Fire Emblem
DC A kickstarter project finally came in the mail. My only complaint is I wish they put the Dreamcast logo on it instead of a parody Dreamstrass logo. It's a 2-disc game in a slipcover.
- Alice Dreams Tournament
SNESMy local Game store got in a game I need and much cheaper then Ebay.
- Super Bomberman
GENMy local used game store got this in for $2 CIB.
- Pele!
Atari 2600The rarest Atari 2600 modal just landed in my hands. It was listed on Ebay for what seems like forever. He first had it listed at over $1000, then lowered it to $800, then $600. I contacted the guy and made him an offer then he counted back only a little more and I had to bite.
- Columbia Home Arcade
It came with both original controllers, Original Adapter, manual and a copy of Pac-Man.
What this is for those who don't know, this console was only sold by mail order by Columbia Record House. They tried to sell Atari Games like they did music and movies by joining their club and get a game every month.
This was the system they sold and it's basically a Coleco Gemini with different branding.
Okay now it's time for what I picked up at the MGC.
GBAFound a booth with a $1 bargain bin full of randomness. Found a few GBA titles I needed.
- Hot Potato
- Splinter Cell
- Super Dropzone
- Pac-Man Pinball
- Spyro 2: Season of Flame
GCDon't ever see this game so when I saw it for cheap I picked it up.
- Zatchbell! Mamodo Battles
PS2Again another game I never see in the wild. It was cheap so I grabbed it.
- Asterix & Obelix: Kick Buttix
SATFound a few more Saturn games on the cheap.
- Virtua Racing
- Congo the Movie
SCDAlways on the lookout for decent priced Sega CD games (and when the cases are not broken)
- Wheel of Fortune
- Double Switch
- Revengers of Vengeance
JAGFound a Jaguar game I was missing, CIB for $25.
- Cannon Fodder
SNESSome bargain bin games I needed.
- Rise of the Robots
- Smartball
GENI saw this for $10 and I had to buy it. lol
- Sonic.Exe
Also got a deal on this
- Bubble & Squeak
GB/GBC- Elevator Action (only $3)
Found a rare GBC game you never see in the wild. Kinda worthless as a game, but maybe I can get the sewing machine one day to really use it. lol
- Singer Sewing Machine: Operation Software
NESSaw the sequel to a homebrew I picked up last year and had to get it.
- Haunted Halloween 86: The Curse of Possum Hollow
VectrexGuy was selling a bunch of homebrew Vectrex games for $13 a piece.
- Verzerk (Beserk with better sound and animation)
- V-Frogger
- Vector Vaders (Space Invaders)
Every year I try to make one BIG purchase. I find a seller with a bunch of PAL NES/SNES games. I see two I always wanted. They where WAY overpriced. I ask about a better price but he wouldn't budge on day one, so I pass. The next day I see they are still there and talk to him about a better price and he tells me they are not his, they belong to his wife. I talk to her and I find out why they where over priced. She didn't want to sell them. lol
I make a offer just under going value and she just had the hardest time letting them go. So I show her my collection and show her they are going to a good home and I talk to her about how I understand how hard it is to let go of anything in my collection, but if you need to sell these I'm the person you'll want to see these games go too. She finally says she'll sell them to me at my offer and I finally add two rare PAL games to my collection. I got her to knock off over $100 of her original asking price. That's how bad they where over priced originally.
NES - Ufouria
SNES- Daze Before Christmas
