Author Topic: Back Lit GameBoy Color vs N64 Mini Which would you rather buy?  (Read 2216 times)

With Nintendo remaking all their iconic classic systems lately, which would you rather see be the next to unveil?  An epic back lit gameboy or gameboy color with a screen similar to the AGS- 101 SP fully back lit with 30 per installed games. or a traditional N64 mini with 20 games built in :)

I would love to see a official back lit GBC released by Nintendo. :D

Which would you rather have.

I feel it would be more likely they'd release a GBA classic first. N64 is somewhat harder to emulate.

Not really a fan of GBC or N64 but if I had to choose it would be the backlit GBC

I feel it would be more likely they'd release a GBA classic first. N64 is somewhat harder to emulate.

its Nintendo that would be making it. they wouldn't need to use some 3rd party emulator and just throw it in the thing since they have full knowledge of all architecture/base code used in it.

but I would prefer the backlit GBC. and im going to continue to say it. multiple cartridges. 20-30 games a cart. 5 garbage games, 10-15 average games/overlooked games, 5 great/iconic titles. $30-40 a cart. $30 for the base system with no cart or a few packages with different carts.
PS2 Palooza: 8/2XXX games finished

Stopped recording so now back on track.

I would choose the GameBoy due to the fact that, even if Nintendo releases an N64 Mini, they will never be able to get the licenses to include most of those that are, for me, the best games of that console, namely GoldenEye 007, Conquer's Bad Fur Day, Banjo-Kazooie, Turok, Sin & Punishment, Star Wars Episode I: Racer, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron and Mischief Makers.

Apart from that, I am not sure about the prices of N64 stuff in the West, but at least in Japan, it is cheaper to buy an N64 bundled with a dozen good games than getting any console of the Classic Mini series, whereas the best games for the GB/GBC are starting to get pretty expensive around here...

Why even bother with the backlit Game Boy Color? GBA-SP does the job with a backlit screen...and it plays GBA games.
