x360 disc(s)
« on: August 27, 2017, 01:41:09 pm »
Hey,

Not sure if this has been spoken before, but i got Mass Effect 2 for the X360, but you cant find/see on the outside of the box that it is 2 discs. Is this normal for X360? And are there any more games like that?

As a newbie I've been going through everything and adding games to my collection and just this morning I found myself enraged that recent Windows DVD games don't say how many disks either.  My frustration is compounded with doubt because the standard plastic case for these games has a spindle that can hold like six DVDs!  Back in my day those PS1 cases were proud to tell you how disks their game needed.

Some games had separate disc trays integrated in the design but some early ones just used a single slot with a taller locking piece.  For example Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey.

And with Lost Odyssey being 4 discs, you had 3 on the tall spindle, and then the 4th one was in a basic envelope tucked in with the manual.

Anyhoo, going through my library of 360 games, I can say the following are multi-disc:

Assassin's Creed III
Batman: Arkham Origins
Battlefield 3
Battlefield 4
Battlefield Hardline
Blue Dragon
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Final Fantasy XIII
Grand Theft Auto V
Halo 3: ODST
Halo 4
Infinite Undiscovery
L.A. Noire
Lost Odyssey
Magna Carta 2
Mass Effect 2
Mass Effect 3
Tales of Vesperia
The Witcher 2

Thanks for the list. I also have Magna Carta 2 and thought it was one disc, but disc 2 was behind it.

Isn't Tales of Vesperia only one disc?

IIRC, Star Ocean: The Last Hope is multi-disc.

Ah, yes. I'm wrong there. I think I just glossed over it going "yep, it's multi-disc" while probably picturing my GCN copy of Symphonia in my mind.
