Day of the Dead

Captain Rhodes getting ripped apart by a hundred zombies while screaming, "CHOKE ON  EM!" was just brutal and unforgettable.

Tell me yours.

Not a huge horror fan, but for me it would be Evil Dead 2, The Thing, and Day of the Dead.

Probably The Thing, it's so magnificent and terrifying at the same time. The main theme alone makes it worth watching.

Either The Thing, another John Carpenter flick - Prince of Darkness, or Dolls.

Yesssss!  One of my favorites, a magical film.  A true gothic fairytale.

Jeeeze, WAY too hard to try and narrow it down to just one.  The 80s; a grand decade for the genre!

The Thing
Tourist Trap
Day of the Dead
Christine
The Fog
The Funhouse
Suspiria
City of the Living Dead
Madman Marz
CREEPSHOW

A toss up between Child's Play, Evil Dead II or Creepshow for me.

The Shining

It doesn't have any of the usual stylings that made the '80s so much fun, but it's amazingly well made.

Either The Shining or Hellraiser!

Haven't seen all that many 80s' horror films but I love those two.

Evil Dead II is probably my favorite, but there are a ton of great ones like The Thing, The Fog, The Shining, Hellraiser and then there are the ones where the movie isn't that good but I love them anyway, Friday the 13th and the sequels, Halloween III

F13th bad? Tom Savini did some of the best practical gore effects ever in some of those.

For sure!  But that doesn’t make them good movies.  I still love them anyway

I'll second A Nightmare on Elm Street. Freddy is such a creepy villain. The whole movie is like a gory Twilight Zone episode.
