Yes games are high value entertainment.

Look at something like Skyrim. People paid $60 for it brand new. Then, they get 100’s of hours of enjoyment. It’s a cheap way to entertain yourself.
Most games are not Skyrim.
In fact, many games are linear with about 12 hours of content and can be over in a weekend for the same $60.
$3
I’d say is pretty easy to get 20 hours out of most single player, $60 games. That’s $3/hr. I’d say it’s worth it.
Then, if you get into used games, you can get lower $/hr than that. Imagine how much time can be sunk into multiplayer games. Lots of value there.

I’d say if you like playing games, there’s a lot of value there.

People used to pay $70 for a brand new game, and only get a couple hours of gameplay out of it. And that was $70 in the 90s, which is probably over a $100 now, adjusted for inflation.
