Help gategorising some items in "other" category
« on: July 08, 2018, 06:14:50 pm »
I went thought "other" category and edited wrongly placed items from there to their rightful places and labeled rest in style required by style guidelines "console name/future category label - game name".
There were some items that  I wasn't sure how to label or categories, so that's why I'm here asking help with these:

Screwdrivers:
https://vgcollect.com/item/46960
https://vgcollect.com/item/46409
https://vgcollect.com/item/46389
Swag or accessory or keep in other category under title "Tool - name of screwdriver" or something along these lines?

Battle.net Authenticator
https://vgcollect.com/item/139755
modern version of Code-whell???

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (Limited Edition Pre-Order Kit)
https://vgcollect.com/item/82753
Is this console specific or same with all consoles?

Weekly Famitsu Original Download Content Special Edition DLC Pack
https://vgcollect.com/item/68575
For which console this DLC Pack is for?

Prof. Weiss-Alles - Gedächtnis-Training
https://vgcollect.com/item/106231
Is this for PC or some other ancient computer?

Television
https://vgcollect.com/item/137346
Should this be nuked for database

Unreleased sequel
https://vgcollect.com/item/25945
It doesn't exist so what the point keeping it on database?

Lot of Android and iOS games and accessories.
Last time I asked of these, they were still banned from the site. Is there been change with the rules or should they all be nuked?

I will probably add some items to this list when some of my edits get rejected and I don't know what to do with them.

Really the "other" category was a big mess. I hope this will make it little easier to go thought.

DVD Games do not need the prefix DVD Game. Instead use the format of (DVD) [TLD] as appropriate.

Sorry what [TLD] means? Should (DVD) [TLD] be added before or after the games title?
Am I correct to assume that Blu-Ray games should be labeled then with (BD)[TLD]?

Now that I know what TLD means. This makes sense.

All the labels for mobile games were rejected. How they should be labeled or should I just post list of them so you can nuke them all?

VHS games for both View Master Interactive Vision and Captain Power got rejected, how should their titles be formatted?

OS/2 Warp and OS/2 games got rejected, once again what's the correct formatting?

"Leap Frog Didj - Games tittle" vs. "Didj - Games tittle" both versions exist at the moment on the site?

Finally with console labeling how should "Palm OS" and "GP2X WIZ" games be labeled?

Disney Coloring Book: Video Art Activity Cartridge - LJN Video Art
https://vgcollect.com/item/98561
Tittle of this game should be changed around since "LJN Video Art" is name of the console, or should the other game for this console to be the one corrected?

Please see the "Release Country TLD Master List" at https://vgcollect.com/forum/index.php/topic,7009.msg108576.html#msg108576
The [TLD] should be be added after the DVD title.

Oh so that what TLD stands for. Google suggested that it's means "top level domain" which I found kind of strange.

- VHS would be treated the same as DVD or BD.
- Fixed LJN Video Art entry.
- Android and iOS games deleted
- GP2X WIZ edit was rejected because the title was in all caps, it has been fixed.
- All Didj games should be Leapfrog Didj prefix.
- OS/2/Warp and PalmOS entries are physical releases for computers. They are for OS, not for consoles, so it would follow computer game naming, as such you wouldn't put Linux as a prefix on an item in PC [NA] category. We can consider putting those OS/2 Warp games into PC [NA]...
