Cabela's Big Game Hunter [EU] PS2

In EU 2002 and 2008 version of Cabela's Big Game Hunter share the same name (There is also 2005 version but luckily it has subtitle).
All other info on this entry is from 2008 version, but item-number is from 2002 version. Item-number of 2008 version is SLES-55103

I have no idea what release this entry is supposed to refer to. It is categorised under [NA[, The title says a [CA] release, but the cover art shows a PEGI rating on the box.
https://vgcollect.com/item/145254

I also find these two entries very confusing:
https://vgcollect.com/item/76219
https://vgcollect.com/item/93257

I believe these were created as entries for the European releases without pokéwalker. There are a lot of people who have these in their collection, probably under the presumption it was the regular UK release. However, if you look closely, you can see the French cover art was used. But this is not reflected in the titles of the entries! These should be separated in four different entries with their respective correct covers:

Pokémon: HeartGold Version
Pokémon: SoulSilver Version
Pokémon: Version Or HeartGold
Pokémon: Version Argent SoulSilver

Fixed the Canadian entry. This happens, Canada (or at least Quebec) will import French or modified French releases, complete with PEGI rating or for older ones it will have France's old rating on it. Also ELSPA.

For the individual entries, if there is no regular retail release for those then they should be changed to the pack-in. You can rename that one with the wrong name to Version Argent, if it is not a dupe.

I now have trouble finding evidence for regular retail releases as well, so what you say makes sense. I submitted changes to make the two entries I mentioned into proper French EU releases, which I already found a lot of data for.

Should this imported French Canadian HeartGold not be changed to the [NA] region? And what about the release date that doesn't make sense? (September 12 2009 is the Japanese release date)

What do we do with these US 'not for resale' version that are actually part of the Pokéwalker releases? (Are they?)

Couple of rejected edits on GBA item numbers...

https://vgcollect.com/item/3093
https://vgcollect.com/item/28127

Item numbers that were in place were essentially correct yet missing dashes, edits were to add in dashes and were rejected. I can swear there was a brouhaha years back about the item numbers needing the dashes even though they're not present on the packaging (I know it's required for Sony products per the Style Guide). Approved edits for Cart Item Number in the description field has dashes in the item number.

Looking for a little clarification on this consistent inconsistency, if the item number is as it appears on the packaging sans dashes just leave it be?

Nothing. Pack-ins are allowed as separate entries.
Which is what those other items should be that I rejected the edits on. You tried to change the incorrectly formatted pack-ins to the main pack, which was why those were rejected.

The item number should be as it exists on the product itself. If there are no dashes, there should be none on the item number field. As you point out, Sony item numbers are the only exception.

Using Monopoly example, does not the cart label have dashes on the item number? If it doesn't, then they should be removed from description as well.

So it is uncessary to put dashes into Nintendo item numbers, but we do not need to go on a crusade to fix everything.

I just double checked and the Monopoly cart DOES have dashes in the item number on the cart. The cart for the UNO I also linked does NOT have dashes in its item number. Oh this will prove to be annoying going forward.  :P

As for a crusade to go back and fix everything...yeah no, that's not me anyways.  ;)

At least there's some clarification to work off of. :)

We have already talked about this a couple of times, but I still don't understand what you what me to do with the following two entries.
https://vgcollect.com/item/93257
https://vgcollect.com/item/76219

I understand now you want to create separate entries for the French pokéwalker included version, correct?

So what about these entries themselves? My edit for the French cartridge code was accepted, but they still have English names even though the box art is for the French not for resale version. Do you see this as an entry for the UK or French not for resale version? The entries should be changed to reflect either of these, and not be a mixture of these two different releases.

Just Submitted a change for Borderlands - Game of the Year Edition on the PS3, The Item Number is listed as BLES-00697 which is the Normal Release Item Number, The Game of the Year Edition is BLES-00697/GOTY which you can see on the disc image on this site despite it being tiny.

But here is a better look.

Is it has the same number on the spine?
If so, you can edit it one more time.

Also, I believe these are not "Not for Resale" as it is in French. So it should be changed to what it actually says.

In summary, as it pertains to the regional releases, for this title there should be:
1. Game + Pokewalker box entry in game category. (Cart image is cart)
2. Game pack-in entry in game category (cart image is cart)
3. Pokewalker pack-in in Accessory category (front image is Pokewalker)

The first is the whole package.
The second is the game and the case, but not the pokewalker, the outer box or any of the other stuff that comes in the box.
The third is just the pokewalker itself.

Thanks for staying with me! I do moderation on another website myself, so I know how much work it can be.

I believe the entries for HGSS are now correct for the most part, although I don't completely understand why some some edits for specific item numbers and barcodes were rejected. I have a bunch of pics on my PC that prove they are correct. It's not that important though.

I also submitted the European box art without ESRB rating for this entry, which was rejected.

NP, this isn't the only place I have a "sword" either.

Some of those "barcodes" are not proper barcodes. In the idea that the data we put into the barcode field is a UPC, EAN or JAN or other equivalent number. That number that you tried to put, while it does exist printed below the barcode, is not valid for our purposes. For now, it should be put into the description as the number under the barcode. And it would be interesting to see what value you would get back by scanning the actual barcode.

You can resubmit that picture of Utawarerumono. In the edit review queue, it was not obvious to be a difference, so I could not even see that there was an ESRB rating on that picture, or that there was any difference. We'd prefer an actual front image tho, rather than the stock photo, if that is possible.
