« on: July 04, 2017, 06:25:51 pm »
:( I love this console and give it lots of praise. But I noticed a lot of people do not like it. my favorite thing is how sturdy it's game cartridges are. So? what are some of the things you don't like about this 1997 generation 5 Nintendo console?

General / Stories Of Us Goofing Off In Video Games
« on: May 10, 2017, 06:30:05 pm »
One game am really goofing around in now is called "Battlefield Bad Company 1" for the PlayStation 3. I am also completing the single player campaign while fooling around blowing up Russian Outhouses with a grande launcher when I see one too. The DICE World engine is totally radical. ;D

you can blow up holes in tanks and military trucks too. don't play this game like call of duty Play it to have an absolute blast screwing around. punch holes through brick walls using a unrealistic power tool. or repair trucks and tanks by drilling at any part on it and restore fully it in one second while the bad guys are still trying to destroy it. or just stand there and listen to your squad mates cracking jokes. Lol one the first mission I just randomly blew a hole in a fake, cheap, old abandoned  home and frag an enemy at the same time. telling you I don't do this in real life. In this game world you have ammo dumps and fuel drums to blast. artillery to use however you want, no easy lose or fail. unlimited ammo crates and weapons to use in fact before the Campaign is over you can blow up mostly everything. BUT,

the massive downside to this game is you only have the ability to knock down the outside walls to a building. no matter what you do you can't destroy the games plaster and wooden inner building walls. therefore you can't bring entire buildings down only hollow shell buildings and that really is a disappointment to me. although in the beginning you can destroy rooftops but I haven't gotten through the whole game yet. :D

I hope You all can share you game stories on this thread. Not sure if this idea was ever taken but It could have been.

I highly recommend more people should salvage hardware, (instead of trashing their game consoles or things whole whole) I may not know how to repair electronics vary well but I do know. That their are some people, that do in online or in remote locations. (Example) Sometimes an internal power supply can go bad. but you know that the laser, is still good. why not sell or give the laser? and everything else inside the game console. To a electronic hardware technician. Or a hardware hacker? If it goes to the junkyard, chances are all of it will (eventually). be rusted through and destroyed. So what are your thoughts on this?

Why not sell or give away functional electronic gut? or that stuff inside old broken electronics? IF it's still salvageable

General / PS2 Slim vs PS2 Phat Which Your Favorite type?
« on: May 08, 2017, 04:18:49 am »
I prefer the older and bigger  PlayStation 2's rather then all the slim. Slim Models I've owned would scratch my Discs easy. when the slim shuts off it still spins the disc. If you try to remove the Disc  my hands apply down force and the bottom of the game gets a ring scratch. I also love the fans in the older models keeping the processors nice and cool. also I read somewhere the graphics look slightly better on the older and bigger phat models.

Which do you prefer?

General / Favorite vs Non Favorite Millitary Based Game
« on: May 05, 2017, 07:57:14 pm »
So? what is you guys current favorite military game. it's does not require to be a realistic war game. For example it could even be the Army Man series for N64 or PlayStation.

For me I enjoy old school and more newer of the Call Of Duty Franchise. and Medal of Honor franchise. I have Battlefield 2 and 3. but I don't care for Battlefield 2 vary much. Medal of honor  Front line can be a pain in the one mission where every enemy has a Bazooka and the shoot it at off visual range. My favorite MOH games are the newer ones in which are more squad based instead being a one man army.

offline is primary for me.
since I don't play online. Is single player campaigns I don't know why any ever played Call Of Duty just for vs a-holes that cheat online and to think how people broke their equipment?  man that is dumb. I mean I still can get vary frustrated, anyway.

Hell I think more Xbox's PlayStation's and flat screen TV's and controllers were shot up or destroyed more then hollow 3D men in the online matches. :o

If their ever comes a day, when we no longer use credits for to play or buy video games. how many of you would share your collections in a community library? or from your own home? If you knew by doing so you could play others collection as well?

I run a Facebook page. I am also a christian teacher. 2 posts explain how life can do just fine and not require any cash or credit.

If one day in our lifetime where everyone gave and worked for their community and shared instead of buying and selling to others. and where everyone was equal.

I would. You can call this a pipe dream? but if you only knew my whole story and knowledge. Just imagine we all took off in a man made spacecraft, and then all of our games were added to the star ship's main computer. and everyone would have access to the main database for free and could play on a variety of controllers. how would this sound to you

Lets take a time machine back to the PC gaming of the Mid 1990's and voice our opinon on a lot of the games that were 3D back then. Now I want you to remember your old PC and how it used to play those games.. not today but back in the 1990's and the 00's

Hi ,I happen to be an ancient PC gamer of the 1990's. 's I grew up  only on PC games.and had not one single  tv console at my home.

l I still love (to this day) games that worked fine with Windows back in the early 1990's like the Doom and the Duke Nukem  3D series. But when  the early 3D polygon PC games first hit the market it for PC  it was a nightmare in my opinion.  most PCs companies manufactured and sold under $5000.00 at the time were utter junk with their Choppiness.   If you were not rich enough to afford to upgrade your PC to the specs that all those early Polygon games required often most game would not work no matter how you tried

Most PC games of the 1990's stunk at least the ones I owned. however my life changed forever when I played Half Life 1 in 1999. and StarCraft in 2004.  for some reason among all the crappy games of the 1990's those were a lot different. I did love roller coaster tycoon and Simcity 3000. but all the rest were utter junk and were not even the least compatible  with windows 95 and windows 98 or even XP for instance in my luck.

my first computer that I had since it was new was a Packard Bell Pentinum 1. a computer that cost well over $1000 back in 1997 when I got it for Christmas. the game I used to play were decent Serria games like Bass Fishing, Nascar Racing, Indy Car Racing. But what upset me the most was yet no matter what PC you bought back in the day the computers would always need upgrades for the simplest things.

Nowadays you can get a gameing computer for well under $1000,00 that will play almost every single game out there, but in the 1990's you need to upgrade yearly in order to play any kind of game back then it seems.

So, what is your thoughts on playing a 1990's game on a computer made in the 1990's or early 00's? :)

or even if you were a console gamer back in the day and never had lag issues please tell your story here. :)

WIKI INFO

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_64_accessories#Expansion_Pak_.28NUS-007.29

I bought my N64 from Amazon about a year back with the red upgraded graphics chip already installed for $30.00 total and already installed  not knowing what to expect.

I used to just have the jumper required black chip in my older Nintendo 64 expansion bay.

to compare the 2, I can't say the red performance chip  change the gameplay much. But the graphics are definitely are a lot better in comparison. A few of my games that were made  later automatically tell me that it reads the chip when I start the game up.  all in all the the N64 does need either the black chip or the upgraded red chip inside it's expansion bay. In order to run the game. Without at least the black RAM chip in the N64's  expansion bay the game console will not work.

In short I'd say you should get this red RAM chip it .does make a lot of N64 titles run faster with higher fame rates on some of the games off the wiki link. But I would not buy this chip by itself it is much more convenience, to get this red chip installed already before you buy a used N64 console the next link is are videos that shows it purpose.

Also you need to know that more RAM means less game lag. So, if you want to learn about this special chip further watch the follow videos, I did not make the videos but they are good proof of what I am trying to say. remember a black jumper pack is Ok but in my opinion the Red Expansion chip is like giving the n64 a boost of almost early PS2 graphics. But that is my opinion from personal experience. but it is expensive currently and JJ games is the only selling that google is telling me. good to add to anyone N64 collection but better to buy one with it installed already.

General / Your Gaming Winning Achievements Since the Beginning
« on: April 03, 2017, 09:46:11 am »
So, what kind of games did can you say you've mastered in your life, for me I don't even scratch 1% of games of all time sake. my backlog is Huge. on PS3 I beat and played every Call Of Duty Game on Vary Easy but never touched much on Advance Warfare and Black Ops series. I've beati all the Call Of Duty Games for PS2 and Gamecube many times over. But I can't say I mastered them though. I beaten a lot of PC games including Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, Mech Warrior 4 series, the vary first game I beat was Bill Elliot's NASCAR Challenge and Wolfenstein 3D shareware version. before beating the whole six episode version more recently

if you cannot think of anything else that just name the first video game you've ever beaten in your life or if you cannot remember what was your last winning achievement I only consider mastering a video game if your can learn to beat the game at all difficulty level :)

Classic Video Games / Your Favorite Nintendo Video Game Product
« on: April 01, 2017, 10:34:21 pm »
I like both my NES and my Nintendo 64. But for parties, I think the N64 is the greatest party machine that ever came out in my opinion. I love to collect for the N64 there is something about how the cartridges feel in my hand that gotten me to love this console.

My NES don't see a lot of use because it is vary hard to get running and I have been using my Retro Duo most recently.   I wish I had more to afford the Super Nintendo but everything is too expensive for it. In fact things cost more for the Super Nintendo then the Nintendo 64.

I used to own 2 kinds of gameboys.  but one was stolen and another was given away. so if you want tell us your most favorite Nintendo product. it can be anything Nintendo. even a toy :D

507
Between all the SONY consoles, VR and handheld sold to some of us? Which one would be your most go at and play system from SONY. I will do a similar topic for Nintendo just for those of you who never tried a SONY gaming product or are not interested ever owning a SONY gaming console. For me

My choice is the PlayStation 3 first even though it is not getting used as much as my Play Station 2 is currently. I love the PS3's hard drive capability and the fact that the controllers are not only wireless but easy don't need to keep changing batteries. Also for the PlayStation 3 super slim it's is like owning both a souped up PS1 and a CD storage center and a Blu ray and PS3 game player all in one package and it still does have its online browsing technology all combined into one package.

my 2nd, is the PlayStation 2 I still own a good one so far I love the PlayStation 2 for it's graphics even though I think an Xbox would be even better for the 6th generation but I never owned an Xbox before

3rd I'd say would be a PlayStation 4 it sound like I could be a lot of fun even though I never or owned or even touched one before :P

4th, PlayStation 1, because even though I have a lot of memories but It just ran too slow on some of it's more modern releases. In my opinion all PlayStation 3's runs most of the PS1 games more faster than my last old PS1 ever did.

I actually might want a PS4 in the future but I never owned of seen one with my own eyes. However, I will not buy the thing if every game needs to be downloaded in order to play it unless I get one with a massive hard drive

For those of you who own A PS4 please talk about it's benefits here. everyone says it is garbage. even if you think it is garbage, please explain why on this thread. :)

Before I start a game I usually need to eat of drink something before or during the gaming session. Otherwise I become fatigued and start to lose and get grumpy. What are some of the things you can eat or drink while taking on other players online or a single player campaign. Or, maybe you have friends to play with in which, in my case, I have none.

I personally use an american Soda called Mountain Dew kick start or just Mountain Dew or some type of caffeine soda. Sometime I enjoy cheesy snacks also.  :)

The first thought for most would be glitches, but How about funny things taking place that are meant to happen in video games.

There is this vary hard Mario game for the Wii that I tried. Where Mario looks like he is walking on a hamster treadmill and it's just funny on that game just watching Mario jumping around trying to get off a circle treadmill.

Then there is a shooting game called Gun Smoke for the arcade and NES but I know in the arcade version it is vary hard until you figure out how to work your surroundings. like shooting a barrel of horse crap and game text comes up as POO and all your enemies die as a result.

I have not played a lot of video game but maybe you can think of something funny about a serious or maybe not so serous game

A lot of people worry about scratches, but if you take care of your game they won't happen but warping will. I just had one of my most expensive games go to waste do to warping and now I need a replacement.

if your game is not working or loading I want to tell you It could be warped and I know how to tell if it is. first you need 2 things a light and the game itself. hold your CD/DVD up against the light while looking on the silver or black side of the CD. if you see any light shining threw the CD/DVD like a little white piece on the silver side. than your games life has just ended and you need a replacement (even if it still works) sometimes a game maybe warped and still work up to a certain point where the console try to find data on the missing top of the CD. most times when a CD warps it loses top side of the disc instead of the shiny stuff never scrape the top or bottom of a CD especially the top park because if the top gets a hole then the whole game is shot.

Again I love to hear your thoughts and experience on warping CDs/DVD video games
