Flea, if you don't mind my asking, I was just curious as to what you do for a living that allows the time, etc for the collection size that you have?  All good if you don't want to say.

I work for an airport, that's really all I need to say. I don't have kids (other then me) or a wife that take up my time.
Don't get me wrong, I have had many relationships (and the game collection was never an issue) just never worked out.
I've been collecting video games sense I was young, I always joke I started at 7 when my grandfather bought me my first Atari 2600.
Still have it in my collection to this day. At 16+ I used to ride around on a bike just picking up any old games I could from garage sales.
I buy and sell retro games I find at garage sales, I make some paypal bucks then turn around and buy something I always wanted for my collection. This helps a lot getting rarer games and systems in my collection.

Having a large collection it does make it hard to "play" every game, some I just sample, others I never get around too, especially newer games. I just like preserving video games and its like a large library, sometimes I have people over and I love watching them turn to a kid again and play older games or sometimes they bring their kids and they usually want to play newer stuff and I don't mind.
Had a few crying as their parents try to get them to leave. lol

A large video game collection isn't for everyone, very few have one. I have inspired others in my area to build game rooms and a few are as bad as me. Maybe I'm a bad influence. lol
I am in awe at the size of your collection.

Started playing Jade Empire on the Xbox. Has an interesting setting being set in ancient China, is about martial arts and includes Chinese mythology. Combat is a bit... eh, alright, but that is to be expected of a Bioware game. The voice acting so far has been rather bad and sounds like some of the voice actors couldn't be bothered recording.

I've Also been playing Rainbow Six: Siege. I bought it after last weeks free weekend. At times it takes a while to find a game which can be annoying but what makes it even worse is when I get into a game that's already in progress.

I've also decided to jump back into Warframe after not playing it for like two years. I saw they've updated it quite a bit since then and now a have a free roaming area. I just hope I don't become addicted to it... again.

The game selection itself is also woeful. You'd think Europeans would finally get some love from Sony in the form of all the PlayStation games never released in Europe (I'm looking at Chrono Cross, Einhänder, Tales games, etc.) but fat chance of that happening.
Europe is always shafted when it comes to Japanese games and consoles.

I'm still playing Breath of the Wild after starting it two weeks ago.

Your avatar makes it look like it's going a little tough for you in BotW, lol. How're you liking it?
Aside from the weapon degradation and how tedious it can be traversing the map at times, I'm enjoying it. I'm still in awe at the size of the map.  It really does feel huge as opposed to some open world maps, if that makes sense.

I still remember the day I got the Sims 2. I was nine years old and it was the beginning of January 2005. Me and my family had just returned from Australia after visiting my Dad's side of the family for Christmas. My Mum took me to our local supermarket and that's when I spotted a copy and decided I had to have it. I was surprised and still am that my Mum let me get it considering it was just Christmas. I got home, started playing and remember I jumped into the lot creation. That's when I got a call from my friend asking if I wanted to go swimming but refused since I just got a new game and wanted to play it all night. He wasn't too happy... Good times :D

I did end up playing it religiously years after. Watching lot creation videos on YouTube, downloading mods off of various Sims creation websites, watching those Sims 2 Machinima videos and purchasing every expansion and stuff pack. I started to lose interest in the Sims after the release of the third game and I'm not sure why. I did download the third game off Steam with a couple of the expansions and  just didn't get that same feeling I got when playing the second game :(

Played through The Darkness on hard for two reasons - So I could say I've done it and for the achievement :D The thing is... After I had completed it, I didn't get the achievement >:( Either way, it gave me a chance to play through a great shooter with interesting characters, fantastic voice acting and amazing atmosphere.

General / Re: 007 James Bond Video Games What Do You Think Of Them?
« on: September 30, 2018, 09:55:40 am »
I haven't played Rogue Agent, though I have it lying in my box of games lol. Should probably get around to playing it. I've also never played GoldenEye on the N64 (I'm young, don't judge me lol)

The first Bond game I did play was 'Everything or Nothing' on the PS2 and I remember loving it. It's different to the games prior as it's in third person and there is stealth, though it is optional and not always viable. I recently went back to it and thought it was still an enjoyable game, though I wasn't a fan of the driving sections and that final level was just... ugh. I also gave 'Nightfire' a go but got lost on the first level :-[

Breath of the Wild! My first Zelda game. That must sound ridiculous to some people :D So far I'm enjoying it. The game is just gorgeous. I will say however that the weapon degradation might get annoying, though I guess it's good you can pick up so many weapons.

Only for Steam. Other than being convenient, I really don't see what makes digital worthwhile.
