Site Feedback / Pico - Black image
« on: January 18, 2018, 11:36:37 am »
So when I tried to upload a box for B-Fighter Kabuto on Pico, the image showed up as just a black box. Would someone be able to find a different image of the front cover to replace it with?

Hardware and Tech / Best extension cables for Dreamcast
« on: May 06, 2016, 08:55:33 am »
So after I received the Sega Fishing Controller and copy of Sega Bass Fishing I ordered for my Dreamcast a few days ago, I realized that the cords on the Dreamcast (both hookup cords and controller cords) are way too short. I'm currently planning an event for my high school graduation that I may need to get extension cables and cords for, but I'm not sure what cords to get or if Sega made first-party cables. Does anyone know the best ones to get for the system and if sega had made any first party extensions?

Hm, I know what OP is talking about where in Metal Gear Solid, one of the characters will read your character's "mind" in a sense by checking your memory card and mentioning what games you've played and how many times you've saved in your game thus far.  Pretty spooky for folks who weren't expecting that trick.

I totally forgot about that one. I know that one of the games Mantis can mention is Castlevania (if you have Symphony of the Night on your memory card). I think there are games that he'll mention only for other regions too, like the Power Pro series for the Japanese version. I don't know the full list off hand, but that really caught me off guard the first time I played MGS.

I think in Twin Snakes they do this as well, but if they do, they change the games referenced. Can someone confirm or deny this?

I know that some of the 2004 season EA Sports games have a special feature called EA Sports BIO, which allows you to keep track of stats between games and, with the case of NCAA Football 2004, import a custom player or NFL draft class into Madden 2004. PS2 and XBOX owners also have the ability to import a NBA draft class from NCAA March Madness 2004 into NBA Live 2004. I don't think MVP Baseball 2004 uses EA Sports BIO, and neither does NASCAR Thunder 2004.

LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy actually uses something like this to its advantage: if you have a save file for LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game on your PS2/GameCube memory card or XBOX/computer hard drive, you can unlock and buy a cheat allowing you to play as characters from the first game in the Original Trilogy (minus any character already in the Original Trilogy game, i.e. Leia or Antilles). While this is redundant since The Complete Saga is a thing, before complete saga came out this was the only way you could play as the prequel characters in Episodes IV, V, and VI.
