General / Re: best place to find used games?
« on: August 21, 2013, 08:28:16 pm »
Also pawn shops, i found original xbox games for $1 at one pawn shop (some disk only but some was complete). When you hit a flea market and the booth is from a reseller, try to find games that aren't the recognized ones (marios, zeldas, metroids, etc) there you can find good deals. For example I got Conkers bad furday (xbox), phantasy star online (gamecube), mystical ninja (snes), Star wars old republic 2 (xbox), the warriors (ps2) and other ones that i dont remember now for only $5. For the thrift store, mehhh, in my country there arnt a lot of it, but i got a ds with mario ds for only $5, but is hard to find something there. Also, go to dvd selling store (electronic department store, etc) sometimes there have games between the movies, I got metal arms (xbox) for $1 and the game was in the dvd section.

General / Having too much games and don't know what to play
« on: August 20, 2013, 01:10:01 pm »
This happen to me a lotttt. I have a tons of game (like you see on my collection and few others that aren't the retail ones, if you know what i mean xD) but i continue playing the same game over and over again, specially with modern games. Sometimes I have this new game and I start to play and then meehhh, i dont know get bored with it!?, so I throw away I continue playing COD online xD. I dont know, maybe is something that when you was a kid you dont work so that mean you dont have money to buy any game. Now I can get any game that i want so I buy as many I can (those one I see I would like) but when i get here in my home I never start to play it. Thats happen to you too??? Let me know your opinion and experience with it :D

General / Re: Game Collecting Nowadays
« on: August 20, 2013, 01:03:05 pm »
unfortunately i think the games that will be collectible in the future will be the most disposable, the definition of disposable is " Intended to be used once and then thrown away" and as more and more of these disposable games get " thrown away", the more rare and desirable they get.
just look at 2600 market and how a lot of the most rare and expensive game are vary much disposable

I agree with you, most of the game from this era are more based on online function, no good and hard campaign/story mode, reason why people will play the game once. That is no the same with old game that right now you can still playing it for many reason: hardest as f** (sorry but no others words can explain, example: castlevenia) that you never completed in you childhood, need to revive a epic story or gameplay or you love that game really much that you need to have it forever. Today, only fewwww games done that, but really few. The only I can say is some rpg games (specially tales of series, eternal sonata and other ones) because the shooting or action/adventure (like god of war, halo, uncharted, call of duty) are very plain and you can only experience the graphics and sound, for me i get bored very easily.

The only I can say is when I used origin after played 14 mins in Sims City, pop me up a bluscreen (many people have this problem). So, for me, is a piece of crap that i never recommend

General / Re: What do you like to collect, sealed or opened games?
« on: August 20, 2013, 12:36:09 pm »
This is a pretty debated topic often. This is my point of view. If I find a game sealed for the right price, Ill take it. I have a lot of the games in my DQ collection sealed. They were actually cheaper (low watched auctions vs BIN) than a complete copy so I snatched them up. I also have a few games in my collection that I found sealed that I went ahead and bought. Do I search specifically for sealed games? No.

But its all taste. Some people actually prefer sealed games and to them I say good luck. Lots of people will mention the "games are meant to be played" as a reason to never own sealed games but, at the same time, people collect guns, stamps, money, cards, comics, etc. All of those items have a purpose outside of collecting too. I say do what you want and dont let anyone else tell you how or what to collect. :)

I do the same, i dont search for sealed games but if I see one I right away buy it (if the price is worth for it). That happened to me with the sealed final fantasy games, I was looking for final fantasy stuff on ebay and see this auction with the sealed game, so i wait until the game have lik 10s to finish and entered the bid and win :D (like for only $20). So yeah, if the game is worth it why not to buy it.

Everything is correct, but i love more collect sealed over opened games, specifically on games I like. I think is the best you can get from that game you love, beside to play it of course (because if you love it you will want to get a used copy to play it and other for collect it). Like i said, I'm crazy with final fantasy games, and for example, I owned 5 copies of FF7 (misprint black label, misprint greatest hits, black label, 2 greatest hits) and I would like to have the sealed copy too because there i would say: now i have every copy of the game (also i have the international version and the Japanese too). I dont know maybe I'm too fanatic of the dam game that i get into craziness with it xD

General / What do you like to collect, sealed or opened games?
« on: August 19, 2013, 06:55:59 pm »
I was thinking about this one because i saw a video on youtube (Scott his name, do video game sellers videos) and he was talking about that he doesnt like collect sealed games, because he want to play it and other stuff (well you can buy 2 copies or download a emulator xD) so i was thinking why not get sealed games? which is the real reason that he cant collect sealed games?. For me doesnt matter, but I like to collect sealed games over the prowend one. For example I have Final fantasy 8 and final fantasy 9 both sealed but also i have 2 more copies of each one (black label and gratest hits) that are opened, so if I find a game that i really like, i try to find the sealed copy for the reason that is valuable and because i like the game. So tell me, sealed or opened game and why :D

Hi everyone, well i love collect game/anime related stuff. I started my collection with my final fantasy ps1 copies (7 and 8) and from that I never stopped xD. I love final fantasy 7 so I love collect more from that game than any other, i have figures, guides, magazines and of course the games. But also I love collect rpg games, specifically from 90 era (ps1, n64 until xbox and ps2). My main goal is collect all xbox and ps2 games because this era was the most time i spent into videogames.

Marketplace / Here is my list to sell (Updated)
« on: August 18, 2013, 03:21:05 am »
Hi guys, my list of games that I looking for do trades and sale. For now and for security (because this is internet) i will use only ebay. So if you are interested in one of the game or want to trade with me, this is my ebay store: http://myworld.ebay.com/l.colon316. Must of my games are untested and the reason why is because I read a lot of scammers (buyers in this case) that get the game 100% functional and then open a case telling that isnt working (when the game was in working order). Second, i dont have nes,n64,sega and snes, so I cant test it, however, this games are rare that are non functional, so not to be worry about it.  ALso, if you tell me that you are from here i will give you a special discount. Also all my games have make offer option, so dont be afraid and submit your offer (i will look for any offer)

Right now I'm looking for a Xbox Original console or a gameboy sp.
