If you can't tell, I'm in a Dreamcast mood lately. It's been so long since I played Toy Commander, it's great to have it back. Oh, and Castlevania III Dracula's Curse. I finally have it.  :D

I had a great couple of gets yesterday! :D

First, rewind. This past Fri. evening I was at the Gamestop I frequent most browsing around & talking to my friend who's the manager. I happened to mention to him that I only had one Wii game that I had bought disk only, and that's because it is hard to find & expensive online. It's Data East Arcade Collection. Well, he says "let's see if we can find one!" and starts punching in random zip codes he knows. He ends up putting in a New Jersey area code, finds one, calls & the store and when they verify it's complete ask them to send it down. Down to Alabama, mind you. ;) The girl said she would, but after he got off the phone he said what I was thinking - "Now let's see if they actually send it."

On Monday, I happened to do a search for Afrika for the PS3 and since I was on my work laptop the zip code defaulted to one further up-state than mine. Turns out a copy was in stock right on the Alabama/Tennessee line. So I called my same store and asked the girl who was working if she could get them to transfer it. She calls me back about 5 mins later & says it's on the way. Had no idea if this one was complete, just hoping for the best.

Yesterday my friend texts me a pic of both games, complete! :D I stopped by after work and grabbed those 2, using a $10 coupon to knock Afrika down to $10, then since "why not" I threw in another $10 game to take advantage of the b2g1 free that's running. VERY happy about those!

I just got back from vacation in San Antonio. I had a couple of solid finds and found an awesome game store. Hit up DPad in New Braunfels, TX if you're ever in the area.  Paul is a good dude.

Hit up a flea market for some ok finds.

Dreamcast Keyboard (NIB) $5
Odd World: Stranger's Wrath $2
Some random toys including a Bucky O'Hare figure $1-$5 (I had to have that Bucky!)

I really enjoyed D-Pad. It's a fun store with a good staff. Lots of random, hard to find stuff. I had a blast in there.

NES cart storage box thing $10
Rastan (SMS) $20 - Not the best price ever, but I'm ok with it.

On the way home, I stopped at The Game Room Trading Post in Malvern Arkansas. This store is great. Such a massive selection of stuff. To be honest, it's a little picked over these days; but it's still got lots to dig through.
I grabbed some boxed games for $20
Batman: The Video Game
The Uncanny X-Men
And another game I can't remember right now. I had the game but wanted the box. What the hell was it?  I'll edit this later when I remember.

My haul today. Pretty good deals. Surprised to see Drakengard 2 in the wild, not a steal of a price but I love buying things in stores rather than online. Pretty bummed at what I had to pass up today (Lunar II for $100 and Dark Cloud 2 for $40) both were just too much for me to spend. Going to the flea market on sunday so we'll see what happens.

Wow, I can't believe that your friend was able to transfer games from huge distances. I haven't had much luck outside the normal 100 mile radius. But good job with Data East Arcade Classics, that's one of the hardest complete Wii games to find, and that one took me a long while to find as well.

Received this beauty this past Wednesday but being honest Pinterest is absorbing a lot of my free time and since my vacations after two long years has finally been approved I have to put everything in order, a friend found this game at only 9.00 bucks in a EBGames store and he kindly sent it to Mexico, is not new but everything is in excellent shape, used to rent this game in at a Blockbuster video center (yes this store is still operating here) cause I totally love Milenna and now I own a copy of it, kinda disappointed with the MKX and only because they have done the female characters more realistically proportioned  :-\

Garage sales where scares this weekend due to the holiday, but even though I only was able to hit maybe 20 sales I still was able to find some video game goodness.  :)

First the store/online buys.
Another Limited Edition from NIS came in the mail and I took advantage of Gamestops B2G1 free sale.

VITA
- Ar Nosurge Plus: Ode to an Unborn Star - Limited Edition
- Mind-0
- Deception IV: Blood Ties

WiiU
- Duck Tales Remastered

PS3
- Dark Souls II - with sountrack and steelbook case.
- Aquapazza
- Akiba's Trip
- Full Auto 2

XB360
- Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom
- Divinity II
- Just Dance 2014 (on a clearance table brand new for $5)

Now on to the garage sales....

A Guinness World Record 2010 Video Games edition book for .25c

The first sale I hit was one that advertised a TON of classic games, NES, SNES, PS1, Genesis etc...
I knew right away this was a collector selling and was going to be higher priced, but figured I'd check it out.
I was right and everything was HIGH Ebay prices and he was firm on most everything good. There was nothing I wanted to even try and bargain for so I left.

After many sales of nothing I finally found a sale with Gamecube games, and they where only .50c a piece.  :)
GC
- Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
- Wario World
- Geist
- Fire Blade
- Rayman 3
- Sphinx

Next I found a box full of PS2 stuff, A PS2 Slim in like brand new shape, even have the online disc still sealed and manual with it. Also had a Nascar Steering wheel and 4 games. I asked on price and was told $10 for it all and I couldn't leave it. lol
PS2
- Nascar 2005
- Chessmaster (sealed)
- Up
- Ace Combat 5

Next I found 2 NDS games, there where marked at $5 each but I got em for $4.
NDS
- New Super Mario World
- Super Mario 64 DS

The very next sale down the street had 2 Gameboy Advance SP lots, They wanted $50 for each lot. They weren't in the best of shape and where 001 models so I picked out a stack of them and asked if they would sell just the games, and after some talk we agreed on $20 for this stack.
GBA
- Dragonball Z: Legend of Goku II
- Bomberman Max 2 Blue
- Spy Hunter / Super Sprint
- Mario vs. Donkey Kong
- Spyro: Season of Ice
- Disney Princess: Royal Adventure
- Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team
- Strawberry Shortcake
- Battlebots
- Butt Ugly Martians
- Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue
- Bionicle
- GBA Video: Yu-Gi-Oh!
- Charlotte's Web
- Power Rangers: Time Force
- Batman Begins

And last My best pick up, Stopped at a sale and asked about video games, they told me no selling nothing like that here. I was about to leave when a lady asked what kind are you looking for? I said all kinds and the lady said she had an old Atari, I said I'd love to see it and she goes to look for it, she comes out and tells me she couldn't find it. Oh well then another lady there said she has a box of old gaming stuff at her house, she wasn't sure what it was, so i gave her my number and left the sale thinking i'll never hear from her. (like most of the time I hand out my number) Well she text me back and we agree to meet at the garage sale the next day. And when I go back she shows me a box full of N64 & Genesis stuff.  :) I quick like look through and see some decent games and she told me to make an offer, she talked how a couple of the games where selling for $20 plus so I had to make a decent offer. I offered $50 for the whole box then she countered $60 and I took it. The Genesis wasn't the best but the N64 lot made it worth it.
GEN
- A Sega Genesis Model 2 with controller and all hookups
- Sonic the Hedgehog (with case)
- Sonic the Hedgehog 2
- Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (CIB) but the case is really beat up.
N64
- 2 Charcoal N64's with 6 controllers (only 1 has a loose stick) both had power cords and only 1 AV cable. Both had jumper Paks in them.
- A Extended RAM Pak dumped loose in the box.  ;)
- A Mario Kart 64 Players Guide
- A stack of Manuals including the system manual.
- Mario Kart 64  :D
- Super Mario 64  :D
- Virtual Pool 64
- Vigilante 8
- Wetrix
- Magical Tetris Challenge
- Goldeneye 007
- Namco Museum 64
- Donkey Kong 64

I needed an ethernet cable so I hit up the local "Computers for Kids" indoor yardsale, which happens every 2 weeks, and in addition to the cable, for $10 total, I picked up a sealed Falcon 4.0 "Squadron Commander" binder/CD-rom version, and a sealed Microsoft OEM games pack which has full versions of Motocross Madness, CART Precision Racing, Golf 98 and Return of Arcade.

Picked up a few games today from a pawn shop that was having a sale on games.

-Golden Sun: The Lost Age (GBA) - I'm new to the series, so I didn't realize that this was the second game in the series and not the original Golden Sun. "The Lost Age" is written in super tiny print on the cartridge and I didn't notice until I was adding the game to my collection here. :P
-The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (GBC)
-Onimusha: Warlords (PS2)

Went to the flea market with my old roommate and had a great time.

When I got there I was fearful we wouldn't find a single thing. I found the Rainbow 6 pretty quickly sitting in a stack on a random table, paid 2 bucks for it.

Then we went about 45 minutes without seeing anything really worth noting outside of some boxed 2600 games which were pretty common titles (dont have a 2600 and running a tight budget otherwise I would have picked them up, $5 apeice)

Luckily after that drought we found a guy with cases full of DVDs and Games. Seemed to warm up to me a bit when I talked to him bought the Dreamcast games/KH/Road Rash off of him for $20, pretty cheap if you ask me.

Found Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2X from a random table that only had crappy Wii games otherwise, $3.

And then in the 2nd to last row of the market we found one of my favorite guys to buy from, real character, old collector looking to make a quick buck it seems. My friend and I pooled our games together and got a lot of about 7 games for $80 and I came away with DQ8 CIB and Shining force and paid my half ($40).

And the best part, everything works! Always a great feeling coming home from the flea with everything working.

(Also did I mention how freaking brand new CD games look when you put them in brand new jewel cases. Seriously I've recased all of my DC/PS1 games and they all look like I just took the shrink wrap off.

I know what you mean.  I've picked up games on the cheap that looked like real turds because the jewel case was cracked, broken hinge, scuffed badly, sticker residue (the booger look), etc.

Put it all in a brand-new, shiny jewel case and your game looks fresh.  The only issue I really run into is that close to the spine where the booklet sticks up the highest, if the person who owned it before took the book in & out of the case a lot the color may be worn away.  Even then though, it's usually not too bad and the new case still makes what was once a turd look like a gem.   ;D

Yep, that's why I'll scrutinize the insert & manual but don't really worry about the condition of the case itself when buying used. Unless it's some kind of unique case that can't be easily replaced.

I just ordered a set of these replacement PS3 cases - the price is right, and reading customer reviews they sound like perfect replacements for bad PS3 cases:

The link looks like it's about $20 (after shipping) for 50 cases.  I don't have a lot to replace cases for, so I just go to a thrift store (we have a local shop that takes in lots of different things for crafting with, including unwanted CDs and empty CD cases) and pick up a few clean cases or parts of cases (oftentimes it's just the front that's cracked) for cheap.  This is especially handy when I need to replace a case for a double-disc PS1 game.

Like Des said, its about 50c each which I've found is the cheapest option for me because all thrift stores and places near me charge at least $1 per CD. These look like they were just made and all come empty and ready for a transplant.

Amazon. (I bought from FantasyBuy which is on the sidebar for the prime shipping, they were perfect, cant speak for other sellers)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002ROGD4E?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00

Argghhh!!!!  At work and the link is blocked!   >:(  How many and how much if you don't mind my asking?   :)

Like Des said, its about 50c each which I've found is the cheapest option for me because all thrift stores and places near me charge at least $1 per CD. These look like they were just made and all come empty and ready for a transplant.

Stopped into Office Max yesterday.  They had 10-packs of the clear cases for $5.99.  I grabbed the only two they had on the shelf so I could "re-case" some of my best PS1 games.  Just a hair pricier than online prices, but I had about 18 games I wanted to spiff-up and didn't want to wait for an order to come in the mail.

I will however be ordering a gross of 50 online soon.  Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

Went to a flea market today and got a PS2 Slim for about 10€ with three controllers and a memory card. Seller also forgot to check the system, LEGO Indiana Jones was in there. I also found Spider-Man: Web of Shadows for about 5€.

I knocked a super hard to find game off the list today. It cost me 6 Hamiltons, but it's mine. I've seen this in the world exactly as many times as I've seen Flintstones 2. Never.

L'Empereur (CIB)

34 to go

It's a find, but not really. Anyone seen this shirt before?

(If the image doesn't load, go here (https://twitter.com/Foxhack/status/618958651756183552).)

I found this, still sealed in a baggie, at a booth in the flea market where I pick up game stuff. This is not a bootleg shirt, despite its appearance - the place had a ton of official shirts for League of Legends, Starcraft II, and Minecraft, all manufactured by a company called Jinx. I found the other shirts for sale, but not this one, so I'm wondering where it was sold or if it was a promo. Anyone know?

This was the only one they had and it cost me a buck. It's sized L so it barely fits me.

Well, yesterday I knocked four "holy grail" items off of my list.  Very, very happy to have these items coming to me.

Sony PocketStation Crystal complete in box (like-new)
Lunar-Silver Star Story Complete complete in box (slight box wear)
Lunar 2-Eternal Blue Complete complete except for the pendant (slight box wear)
Arc the Lad Collection complete (slight box wear)

I seriously cannot stress enough how important these three games are to me, or how much I've always wanted a PocketStation.  I still have a pretty long list of PlayStation titles I want.  They are for the most part more expensive titles that decent copies are $30 or more each.  Especially the old Capcom fighters.   :o  My PS2 list is quite a bit shorter and PS3 list is even smaller still.

I'm just getting started so-to-speak, I'm going all hardcore Dreamcast right now. I neglected the console for way, way too long. I'm in the mood for snapping up anything that looks half-way decent, and I've got a local source with some low priced inventory.

My copy of P4A Vinyl finally came in... a replacement copy took 2 weeks to get here... To make it worse the outside is ripped up and has corner crushes. The Vinyl is correct but it still has the warped and shuttering sound like the test vinyl. I dont know if its my old vinyl players fault or the master-copy rice digital has was faulty in the beginning.

I'll probably email Customer support about it but mannnnnnn Im getting tired of going to customer support. First for KH CE a while back for my artbook which is still damaged and I just gave up the 2nd time. Now this.... uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what a drag.

Well had a great 2 days of garage sales and went to the Video Game Summit in Chicago and had an extremely rare game fall into my hands, it wasn't cheap and the guy gave me a deal on it I couldn't pass it up.

- Gangsters: Organized Crime
- Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 3 game pack

Stopped at a sale ask the lady about games and she said she might have something and went inside.
She comes out with a box with a Red 3DS with a bunch of games complete in the box. I asked how much but she didn't know what to ask for it so she said "make me an offer" I said $40? Thinking it was too low but she acted like I offered her $200 for it all and took the offer. lol  ;D
Here's the games.

I passed. But He also had a Silver Game Boy Pocket, a Game Boy Advance with 8 GBA games and random accessories and only wanted $10 for the lot.... ya I grabbed that. lol  ;)

- Wave Race 64
- Milo's Astro Lanes
- Wipeout 64
- Goldeneye 007

SNES
Found this random game for $2.
- Super Slam Dunk

Found 3 Disney Tiger LCD games for .25c a piece.

saw a ad saying they had video games on craiglist, the pics on the page showed all little girls stuff so I figured I'd hit it later in the day due to it was most likely going to have snicklefritz little girl games. When I got there they where open over 2 hours and I looked around and saw nothing video game. I asked the lady and she said "Oh her husband never got them out before going to work." She goes in the back of garage and starts to look through bins and first pulls out a really beat up NES, It had controllers and a zapper, I asked about games and she said she thought there was some and started to pull out more bins of random junk. Finally she pulls out a bin and I see NES games.  :)
There was about 17 games and I pick out a few. then I see a brown bag and look inside it and it had a Dreamcast in it. Had 2 controllers and memory card but no hookups. When I asked price she said she didn't know they where her husbands. She at first asked me to come back tomorrow but I told her i was going to be out of town (I didn't lie I was going to the VGS) so she called her husband and she tried talking to him and she acted confused about what to tell him so she handed the phone to me to talk to him. lol I tell him I'm interested in about 8 games and maybe the Dreamcast, He said he'd go $2 a piece on the NES games and $20 on the Dreamcast. So I offered would you take $30 for the games and Dreamcast and he said yes.  8)
Here's the list of games.
NES
- World Class Track Meet
- Stinger
- Trojan
- Ikari Warriors 2
- Super Mario Bros. 3
- Super C
- Metroid
- Kid Icarus

And last Me and my buddy went to the Video Game Summit in Chicago and damn did I get something I wasn't expecting.

First buy was a bunch of CIB Sega Genesis/CD games, I talked the game to take $50 for all of this.
SCD
- Power Monger
GEN
- Earth Defense
- Heavy Nova
- Granada
- Jewel Master
- Valis III

Then after looking around finding nothing but over priced or top retail prices I stopped at a booth and the guy remembered me from last year, we talked about games and he was asking me about what would be fair prices on a few of his stuff. I didn't tell him High Ebay but told him good fair prices for the few items he was asking and I was nowhere trying to under price anything he asked. Well I was telling him how I couldn't find anything good this year at the show and he said I might have something you might be interested in and he pulls out a T16 game that's Probably the second rarest game after Magical Chase.
- The Dynastic Hero  :o
This game sells for over $1000 on Ebay complete. He offers me a discounted price, but I said I really can't spend that much, and he said what can you afford? and I tell him about half of what it goes for and he said deal.  :o I wasn't expecting this and had to take out cash from a ATM but I knew there was no way I could get this game at that price so I bit the bullet and bought the game.
After this purchase I was way over spent and pretty much just hung out with my buddy helping him look for games, I was done, lol.

Hm, that reminds me that I preordered that game and it hasn't arrived yet.  Checking the order now, I assume it's because I ordered it at the same time as the upcoming Danganronpa... they'll probably send it all in one go. A shame, but I doubt I would've played Ar Nosurge anytime soon.

I finally got my darling little hands on a complete copy of Blood Will Tell for the PlayStation 2. After trading in a few worthless titles that had no place in my esoteric collection, I got a damn good deal. My friend who was with me at the store got a few PS4 titles. Overall, we had a great time and were very pleased with our findings.

A copy of The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon for PS3 popped up at a local GS last week, so I used my 20% off b-day coupon & snagged it. :) I think I have all of the uncommon PS3 games I want now (outside of weird sports games & such). I hesitate to say much of anything last gen is *rare* yet - the only PS3 game that might fit that category is Class of Heroes 2G due to it's extremely small print run.

That's NA titles - if you expand to imports, there are still some hard-to-find ones I'd like but probably won't ever happen *cough*Aquanaut's Holiday in English*cough*.  ::)

Well, this was a surprise. My sexy-ass partner and I were organizing the attic and he said, "Oh hey! I found my old Atari." I laughed at how passé he was about it because I was stoked. It was like he found an old pair of shoes or something XD

So yeah, now I own an Atari 2600, a vast amount of accessories and some games. I doubt I'll ever play them since it's a pain to set the system up, but it's pretty neat to see this aspect of video game history. The games are:

Air-Sea Battle
Asteroids
Breakout
Chopper Command
Defender
Demon Attack
Donkey Kong
Football
Frogger
Grand Prix
Ice Hockey
Night Driver
Pac-Man
Pitfall!
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Real Sports Football
Skiing
Space Invaders
Star Raiders
Super Breakout
Swordquest Fire World
Tennis
Warlords
Yars' Revenge
Zaxxon

I was really surprised.

Nice.  When I first bought a PS1, everything was in a longbox.  Picked up Street Fighter Alpha, Rayman and a few others back then.

Because of my retarded OCD, I avoided purchasing longbox titles after that because they didn't fit physically with the rest of my PS1 games that were all pretty much in jewel cases.

Stumbled across a mint copy of Blue Dragon today for $10 @ GS. :) Probably the last 360 game I *really* wanted to get - there are a few more I wouldn't mind if the price is right, but nothing I feel like I have to have.

Even though I don't have an Xbox or 360 at this time, I still pick up games for them if they are in a series I collect, dirt-cheap or from a developer I like.  That being said, I would have been all over a copy of Blue Dragon as well.  Good catch.

Took advantage of the 4th of July Sale that Nintendo had on refurbished 2DS systems. 60 dollars for basically a new Crystal Red sounded good to me. No scratches on the screen. There nothing wrong with it from what I can tell. Just a tiny bit of dust. It came with all the packaging goodies. They weren't afraid to blast "Refurbished" on almost every side of the box.

In that same order I also got a new GBA SP battery. Yes, they still sell those.  ::) Probably a good time to do so before they stop making them forever.

A local game store had this for at least 4-years (not surprised) and after watching some gameplay of it last night and deciding it looked pretty cool, i decided that I would buy it. However, the thing that really sold me on getting this specific copy was that this game has literally jumped in value to be $50+. It was a no brainer at that point :p

I apologize in advance for not adding pics.  I do this stuff at work and most everything is blocked.  Without further ado...

Resident Evil Dead Aim for PS2 complete (light shelf wear)
Resident Evil Survivor for PS1 complete (like new)
Resident Evil Outbreak for PS2 complete (light shelf wear, light scratches)
Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 for PS2 complete (light shelf wear, light scratches)
The 3rd Birthday for PSP brand new
Parasite Eve for PS1 complete with demo disc (light scratches on disc one)
Parasite Eve 2 for PS1 complete (light shelf wear)

and....an APF TV Fun model 401 system!  Found this while helping a buddy clean out old abandoned trailers, storage sheds and a dilapidated garage on his family's property in the boonies.  I instantly recognized it as a console I had when I was a baby (it was my dad's) when I saw the light gun.  My friend gave it to me along with some other assorted stuff.

My friend made out like a bandit.  We found a box of N64 games.  Lots of sports stuff, but also gems like F-Zero, Jet Force Jemini, Resident Evil 2, Star Wars Rogue Squadron and Shadows of the Empire.  Turok 1 and 2 were in there as well.  An Atari 2600 in the box, a brand-new Game Genie for the NES sealed and tons of other accessories.

Got a couple more Game Gear games and Castlevania the Dracula X Chronicles for PSP.

At $12 dollars it's a great and cheap way to experience Symphony of the Night!

Bonus, it's a remastered version with better graphics and bonus features!

Haven't gone really hunting for abit, but today at Walmart I saw the Link to the Past comic for only 16 bucks and had to grab it, maybe on just the cover alone.  The art itself isn't anything special, but it's a cool little series and good to add to the collection.

Actually found a couple games at the Salvation Army.  Jet Moto I remember loving when I was young, Nobunaga's Ambition being just an oddball strategy game I figured I'd grab, and the pod racer game on PS2 I never played, but I remembered liking the N64 one, so I'm hoping this one is fun.

On Thursday it rained so bad there wasn't much for sales and only picked up a couple things, but on Friday and Saturday I did manage to score some nice pick ups.  ;)

First the Store/Online pick ups....

WiiU
Been seeing this game rise in price lately and even Gamestop wants $60 for it. Saw this at a local used game store for $40 and figured I better grab it.
- New Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi Bros. U

And that's the only store/online pick up this week. lol
Now onto the garage sales...

XB360
On Thursday that rained all day I picked up a Rock Band 2 set, Had the game, Guitar, Drum set (not shown) sticks, pedal & microphone all for $3. I couldn't pass on it.  :P

Stopped at a sale that had a large amount of 360 and PS2 games, only got 2 games it was pretty much picked over.
XB360
- Grand Theft Auto IV Liberty Complete Collection  ($5)
PS2
- Cold Winter ($1)

A sale advertised "Video Games" and when I got there I only saw a small stack of Wii Games, I only saw one game I was missing and they where all crap. I asked about anything else and the guy said Ya I have some PS3 games. and he brings out a stack of sport games.  :-\ Well they where only $1 a piece so WTH, picked out the ones I was missing.  :P
PS3
- Madden NFL 10
- NCAA Football 09
- Need for Speed Shift
Wii
- Madagascar 3

Wii
Next sale I found a couple Wii games at but I only saw one I was missing, they wanted $5 a game, I tried to get it for a lot less but the best they would do is $4. Normally I'd pass on this game for $4 but It had it's slip cover and that isn't easy to find.
- Medieval Games

Wii
Stopped at a multi condo sale (mostly old people) and did find one sale with a Wii bundle for $50. There was 3 games I was interested in the bunch and asked about him selling them. At first he didn't want to separate it but finally he said $5 a piece, but we finally agreed on $12 for all 3.
- Madden NFL 13 (ya normally I wouldn't pay this for a sport game, but this was the last Wii Madden and it still sells for over $20.)
- Wii Sports (best seller, I wanted the case) :P
- Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Wii
Found this one Wii game for $1 at a sale, I didn't own it so grabbed it.
- Super Swing Golf

Stopped at a huge 20+ community sale and walked up to a sale as they open, and as they are setting up I ask about video games, the boy said he had some Wii games and runs inside to get them, as I wait the mom asks me to help her move stuff out so I helped her while I waited. lol The boy brings out a large stack of games, and as I'm looking through them his little sister starts saying she didn't want him to sell "her" games. I'm thinking oh-oh, and she pulls out mostly the crappy games like Littlest Pet Shop and such and leave these for me to get for $2 each.
- Mario Kart Wii
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii
- Super Mario Galaxy 2

Found a Skyrim collector's Guide at a sale for $1.

Found a PS3 remove (sealed) for $2.

Found a SNES Adapter for $1. They also had a Super Mario World Manual I got for free.

N64
Stopped at a sale and see N64 games on the table. They where only $1.50 so I picked up the few decent titles.
- Star Fox 64
- Wave Race 64
- Pokemon Stadium

GBA
I asked about video games at a sale and the lady said she had a bunch of gaming systems but they where her son's and he didn't want to sell them, (I hear this a lot) but her daughter spoke up and said she would sell her system. So she ran inside and brought out this...
- Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP (charcoal 101 model) in the box.
It was in great shape and was only missing the charger. We agreed on $12.  ;D

Saw a sale advertise "Old Nintendo and Genesis" they started the sale on Friday but they didn't put the ad up til late Friday and by the time I saw it I figured it would be gone. I got there and the NES was gone, but the Genesis with one game was left. It was only $5. Was missing cables but had controller the game was nothing special but for $5 I picked it up.
- FIFA International Soccer

I saw a sale advertise video games and knew who was doing this sale, He's a game collector and has a Youtube channel. I've meet this guy a few times and knew his games where not going to be average garage sale prices. I stopped by on Friday and only his wife was there and she couldn't do any deals. He always prices at average retail so resellers wouldn't buy everything. But I knew he would make a deal for fellow collectors. So I came back on Saturday and he made me a deal on all these games for $100. Seeing one of these games has been selling lately for over $50 alone it wasn't a bad deal.
GEN
- Flashback (CIB)
- Mutant League Football (CIB)
- Trouble Shooter (CIB)
N64
- Pilot Wings 64 (with manual)
SNES
- First Samurai
VITA
- Muramasa Rebirth Blessing of Amitabha Collectors's Edition

GEN
On Thursday I stopped at a sale and saw a large box full of Genesis and CIB games (about 15 games) The games where just okay, 10 of them where crappy sport tiles and the rest where common titles. I asked about price and was told $140.  :-\
The lady would not go down in price and refused to separate anything. She told me to come back Saturday and she'll deal with me if it was still here. Knowing no one would buy this lot (at least anyone who knows their stuff) odds are it would not sell, so I came back Saturday and sure enough it didn't sell. I asked about $50 for the whole thing but she would take less then $100. If the games where better I might have gone for it but it was mostly sport games and common stuff. But there was one game I wanted due to it's oddness.
She again refused at first to separate anything, and said she'll just sell it on Ebay. And I told her one of the games she could not sell on Ebay due to it was a Pirated game, so she finally agreed to sell me this one game for $5.  :P
- 8 in 1 combo cart.

And last the best find of the weekend.
I stopped at a community sale and while i was leaving one sale I saw another sale open their door and start setting up. I ask about video games and the lady said she had an old Atari with some games.  I told her I'd love to see it and she brings out a N64 with 2 controllers, all hookups and an okay game. she said she had more games. She comes out with a stack of games and a stack of GBC/GBA BOXES!!!  :o
I look through the N64 games and see a few really good games and then see the boxes has some great titles too. She couldn't find the handheld games but game me the boxes with this set. I got all of this for $30.  ;D
N64
- Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
- Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3
- Supercross 2000
- Perfect Dark
- Pokemon Stadium
- Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
- Super Smash Bros.
GBC/GBA boxes
- Spongebob Squarepants: Legend of the Lost Spatula (with Manual)
- Spongebob Squarepants: Revenje of the Flying Dutchman (with Manual)
- Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3
- Dragonball Z The Legacy of Goku (with Manual)
- Pokemon: Puzzle Challenge
- Pokemon Gold Version
- Pokemon Ruby Version (with Manual and card still sealed)

My brother inspired me to get a copy of Eternal Darkness, and it arrived over the weekend. Also, I used my Game Stop birthday coupon to snag a copy of Final Fantasy Type 0. I'll be getting a PS4 at the end of this month and it's been lots of fun looking at which games are available for the system.

Did you get Suikoden Tactics and Suikoden Tierkreis? I wasn't able to finish either of them, but I'm pretty sure they aren't very long. I know that Suikoden IV isn't very long. You just might be able to get through all of the games before the end of the year. Keep up the great work!

The most difficult part is finding cases with the memory card slot.  Otherwise, you could easily replace the case with a DVD case. I haven't found a good place for replacement cases - I just look for cheap PS2 games or cases when I go to my local re-use/thrift store.

PS2 cases are so accross the board that I just use DVD cases. Really the only thing you're missing out on with using those is the memory card holder that I doubt anyone uses and the PS2 logo imprinted on the case. Regular DVD cases are super cheap so thats the best route IMO

Got Meteos yesterday for about $0.75 from GameStop yesterday.

The bf had to drop some keys off and mentioned that that particular store had a drawer full of boxed DS games.  He asked if I could go through the drawer, and I was happy to find that one.  It's one of those games that I wanted to have but never wanted to pay anything over like $2 for.  Was stocked to find it complete, including Club Nintendo points card (RIP) and for cheap.

A couple other items were appealing, like Mario Party DS and GTA Chinatown Wars, but not quite at the right price point yet.

My finds at this particular thrift store have ranged from awesome (Symphony the Night for a dollar), to so-so.  Generally their stuff is pretty regularly priced, and the deals aren't so great, but I've kinda gotta pretty good off and on over the past year.  When I'm TRYING to find stuff and go regularly, I just don't get anything too great, but today I just popped in for the heck of it and found the games hanging up at 3 bucks for a double pack.

Oh yeah, I said that wrong before, I actually got Mario Kart and Mario World for 3 bucks together, and Zelda/King of Monsters 2 for 3 bucks together lol I tried to go digging for the N64 that has to be there, cause of the loose power adapter I got in the SNES bag, but it either wasn't brought out yet or somehow there's just a random power adapter lol

What a coincidence. So did I!

Rise of the Robots (DOS CD)
Bee Movie Game (Windows)
Boiling Point (Windows)
Angst (DOS CD, SoftKey Release)
Karishma (no idea)
Expect No Mercy (Win 3.1?)
Project X + Body Blows (DOS)
Star Trek: New Worlds (ASUS OEM release)
Wipeout XL (Windows 95)

I was about to give up on finding games today but finally had some luck. All of these were $1 each. Expect No Mercy, Project X + Body Blows and Star Trek New Worlds are apparently pack-in OEM releases; there were a few other ASUS branded games in there, like MDK2 and Sacrifice but I already owned those at GOG so I left 'em behind. There were also copies of Far Cry, Soldier of Fortune, Soldier of Fortune Platinum, and Soldier of Fortune II, but I already owned those.

Eh, not bad after a long dry spell. Guess the recent flooding flushed these out...

Well, the last five days have been pretty productive!

This past Sunday, digging around in trailers jam-packed with my friend's mother-in-law's hoarded goodies that have sat abandoned for years.  Same place I picked up the APF TV Fun system.  Well, a little hard work paid off and I walked away with a Texas Instruments Ti-99/4-A system with voice synthesizer, the advanced basic cart and a "Oldies but Goodies" cassette tape with games on it.

Did a bit of trading some of my doubles on Monday and ended up with the following games:
Armed & Dangerous for Xbox complete
Ninja Gaiden for Xbox complete
Ninja Gaiden Black for Xbox complete
Otogi for Xbox complete
Otogi 2 for Xbox complete
Infinite Undiscovery for Xbox 360 (missing manual)
Last Remnant for Xbox 360 complete
Lost Odyssey for Xbox 360 complete
Too Human for Xbox 360 complete
Dawn of Mana for PS2 (missing manual)

Went to Gamestop to pick up my Wolfenstein Old Blood preorder and also ended up with:
Dark Sector PS3 complete
Clive Barker's Jericho for PS3 complete
EyePet and Friends for PS3 complete

Went digging around in Pawn shops and a thrift store yesterday.  Walked away with 13 games, all complete for $30.
Def Jam Vendetta greatest hits for PS2
Auto Modellista for PS2
Jet X2O for PS2
Orphen:  Scion of Sorcery for PS2
Death by Degrees with the Tekken 5 demo disc for PS2
Tenchu:  Fatal Shadows for PS2
Tribes Aerial Assault for PS2
Virtua Fighter 4 for PS2
Deus Ex Invisible War for Xbox
Gungriffon Allied Strike for Xbox
Oddworld Munch's Oddysee for Xbox
Soul Calibur II for Xbox
Thief:  Deadly Shadows for Xbox

Last item I picked up yesterday was a complete, NM copy of Project Sylpheed for Xbox 360 for six bucks.

Not a bad haul at all, especially with only $36 spent. 30 games total and a system with accessories.

Just returned from vacations and yesterday I saw this little poor fella all abandoned at a local store so decided to give it a good home, it wasn't so expensive cause only paid 19.99 bucks for it and is as good as new, this title is kinda expensive here at Mexico and really don't know why, the mores expensive are those from Nintendo like Zelda or Mario Party anyway it was a good addition, will try to give my NES some love these next weeks with the purchase of some titles for it  ;D

Yeah...I wasn't too enthused about the manual missing, but I took it on a trade and it is otherwise in great condition.  Back in the PlayStation's heyday, I owned every game by Squaresoft.  I'm slowly working on getting them all again, but naturally they are all "high priced" compared to other PS1 games.  Part of that is on me, as I want every single one to be in excellent, complete condition.  So far, I've picked up all the Final Fantasy games, Vagrant Story, Chrono Cross and the Parasite Eve games.

Well it is a pretty rare title for Wii, the print run for NA wasn't too big. The other thing is that it's value is only going to go up, because of the difficulty of getting the Tsunoko licenses for overseas re-releases in digital form. It's defenitely one of the best fighting games offered for the Wii and it works pretty well with a fight stick.

For me it's the only fighting game in the library of the Wii, is there any other one as good as this that I need to add to the collection ?, already saw the prices of the fight stick here but they are so fucking insane, gotta continue palying with the GameCube controller for a while at least until I can save some money and order the stick at Amazon  :-\

My friend and I were talking about the Dreamcast earlier this month, and how I regretted selling mine a few years ago... Something was planted in my mind right then and there, and after seeing a nice cheap system on eBay, I've been helplessly buying DC games like it's going out of style. I sold some things on eBay recently to drum up funds for upcoming pre-orders, but nostalgia has taken it all away.  ::)

Dreamcast

Crazy Taxi
Sonic Adventure
Sonic Adventure 2
Street Fighter Alpha 3
Typing of the Dead
Cannon Spike
Shenmue
Power Stone
Capcom vs. SNK
Marvel vs. Capcom 2
Gunbird 2
Gauntlet Legends

SNES

Kendo Rage

PS4

Onechanbara Z2 Chaos
Deception IV: Nightmare Princess

Colecovision

Tournament Tennis
Bagman (homebrew)

Isn't the iPad as the iPhone supposed to have the best quality on the market ?, I mean the price for those devices is practically a joke cause of the expensive they are, can't believe that an Apple product took that bad low quality in a image.

Cannon Spike

This game has been at my whishlist for so many years, hope you don't mind but really hope that you can upload some images of this title  ;D

Don't believe the hype, yo. Mine is an iPad Air. It takes ok until you get working on non-fluorescent indoor lighting. Then it gets pretty grainy. I've gone mostly Android and haven't looked back. My Galaxy S6 takes stunning photos. Should have used that. Lol.

That's why I wanted this title so much, used to play it at the arcades years ago and it's pure fun unfortunately my financial situation right now doesn't allow me to purchase my copy but I really don't lose the hope, when that time finally come will purchase one in Amazon cause really don't know much about eBay and how to manage purchased there  :-\

Retro game store today! With some saved credit and some new trade-ins, I got some fun goodies.  I saw he had these silly Army Men action figures, and when I bought Vicki, but wasn't interested in Plastro, cause I mean...look at him...he's like a dried out poop lol...He gave it to me half off so as to not split them up.  Totally fine with that, I remember loving the games on N64.

Finally got Spirit Tracks to finish my main series Zelda collection.  Now it's all about getting boxed versions and like Greatest Hits/Players Choice variants.

Got the NECA Godzilla with the NES paint job which is silly, but I love Godzilla.

And for the heck of it and cause its cheap, I got Metroid Prime 3 on the Wii.  I haven't played the series since the first one, so it'll be cool to get back to the series eventually.

No offense but a couple a friends have purchased the Spirit Track without manual and case just like you, can I ask how much did you pay and why the hell is becoming so expensive, have found the game card only at Mercado Libre and really don't believe that is less expensive even than Amazon, it's becoming rare ?, if it's it will definitely be my next target  ;)

Not sure exactly that it is going up in price too much, cause it's only about 30 to 50 bucks on Ebay that I'm seeing for a CIB version.  Pretty average pricing for a Zelda game I'd think.  I got my Spirit Tracks for 20 bucks and I thought that was actually a good deal, but that looks to be similar to the Ebay average too lol  I could even say its better, cause I can physically have it, no shipping worries, or any other fees attached.

What is outrageously overpriced is the freaking Link Between Worlds collector's edition guide...Good god, $100+ for a relatively new strategy guide? Why?! I've bought most of the others for like 20 and 30 bucks a piece, but this one is as much as a CIB Link to the Past for the SNES? WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?! I'm certainly not skimping on the collector's guide when a new Zelda is coming out now lol

Stopped at a sale and asked about video games, the lady there said no, but a random guy there said he saw an old Atari at a sale down the street. So a got there asap and sure enough there was an Atari 2600 sitting there complete with Pac-Man, 2 controllers and Adapter. I asked how much? was told $10, asked if she'd take $5 and she said sure. Needs a good cleaning, other then that I god buy for $5.  ;)

Stopped at a sale and asked about games and the guy said he had some Genesis, so as I wait his friend starts talking about how gaming prices has gone crazy lately (I'm thinking oh lord, they are gonna ask stupid prices) he brings out a stack of games and I ask how much and he says $2 for the stack. lol
GEN
- Pit Fighter (with case)
- Sonic the Hedgehog
- Pat Riley Basketball
- Hard Drivin'
- Cliffhanger
- Genghis Khan II

Hit a sale and asked about games, at first they said no and as I was about to leave another lady said she might have something. She goes in and brings out a Gamegear with 3 games. She had no idea if it worked and I told her how many Gamegears have issues and I offered $5 and she said yes. Good news it works, bad news no sound.  :-\
GG
- Sonic 2
- Pac-Man
- Desert Speedtrap

Found a sale on Craigslist that advertised "Super Nintendo & Playstation" I emailed the seller asking about the SNES but they wouldn't sell it early and they listed "no early birds" The sale started at 8am so I showed up at 7:30 thinking I was going to be waiting in the car til they opened. I get there and they are already setting up and I was didn't see anyone else. So I walked up and asked figured the worst case they tell me no sales til 8. I asked about the video games and she said she didn't get them out yet because she had no idea what went with what system. I told her I'd help her so she invited me in her house and I go through a box full of tangled cords and put together everything that went with each system. She was so thankful and there was only 5 SNES games and a system (missing adapter) and the PS1 was all crap games, nothing I wanted. There was 3 of the SNES I wanted and she said $10 for them plus a NES adapter that was for some reason in that box.
SNES
- California Games II
- Donkey Kong Country
- Mortal Kombat
(the 2 I left behind were some baseball games I already had)

Hit a sale advertising "video games" and they had games alright, all crap for PS2 and XB mostly sports games for $2-$5 each  :P
But they had a stack of something that caught my eye. A Coleco Quiz Wiz with several games most all with their boxes. And they wanted $10 for it all.  ;)

And last the sale I wanted to get but couldn't. I stopped at a random sale and asked about video games, the lady said she had something but there was already someone that left their card and she was going to sell it to them. I was thinking "damn reseller" I talk to her trying to convince her not to let some reseller take it and maybe I could offer more. So she takes me into her home and shows me what it is... It was a Sharp Nintendo TV combo.  :o
I picked up this same system about 5 years ago from a garage sale for $100. I look it over and the only issue I see is it's missing the Game Door but it had the settings door (which mine is missing) I asked if she had the controllers and she said yes but didn't know where they where ATM, She didn't have the remote and one of the legs was cracked. But all the feet where there. I asked price but she just said make an offer. I told her how the last time I saw one of these it sold for $100 and offered that but she said she'll sell it to me if the reseller offered her less. (sigh) So I tried $150 and she was set to offer it to this reseller first. So I left and this is not where the story ends. I stopped at Gamestop and was there talking to the employee's like I always do when the phone rang. She picks up the phone and she looked confused. She looks at me and asks (knowing I know a lot about video games) do you know what a Sharp Nintendo TV is? I almost wanted to take the phone from her, but just told her I was just at her sale and she wouldn't sell it to me. Gamestop doesn't take this so she told her I couldn't help her and hung up. So much for her saving it for this reseller, she was shopping it around for the highest bidder. (sigh) I never thought I'd ever see this again at a garage sale, and I wanted the settings door for mine and a buddy of mine already told me he'd go $150 for one if I found one again, I was going to pass it on to him. He was so disappointed when I told him.  :-\
I know these can go for a lot more, and shipping is insane but I really didn't want to offer a lot more unless it had the game door and the remote.
Here's a Picture of the one in my game room. (https://scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/v/t1.0-9/11002664_831598126913615_8281863409678420025_n.jpg?oh=27fcdb5fccc023dde4dc105ea7a09d71&oe=564D0D01)

I found a few nifty trinkets and such over the weekend, but one of them deserves a picture. At a local used book store, I found the strategy guide for Star Ocean: First Departure and a complete copy of Enchanted Arms for the PlayStation 3. Also, I won a random bid on e(vil)Bay and got a brand new copy of Mugen Souls Z that I tore into immediately.

But the highlight was this: Breath of Fire Official Complete Works. Breath of Fire for the Super Nintendo was my first RPG. Ever. This book has copious amounts of official artwork, ads, notes, synopses, and other pieces of information about this great series. All of this and then some for Breath of Fire through Breath of Fire V: Dragon Quarter. It was a great weekend.

Did some hunting out of town today and here is what I ended up scoring.

Nice finds.  Black Dreamcast, Steel Book Metroid Prime Trilogy, and Hyperstone Heist.  That's probably my favorite game on the Genesis.
Well done!

Sh!t....I went to a half dozen thrift & pawn joints today. The best thing I could find at any of them was Ecco for the PC.  >:(

Ended up making my last stop on the way home GameStop and ended up with four PS3 games. Medal of Honor, Alien vs Predator, Duck Tales and the collectors edition of Dragon Age Origins.

I guess I really shouldn't complain, but when I see a haul like bikingjahuty and the flea bring in, I wonder why I can't have a bit of luck like that. The local mom & pop shop have started jacking prices up and I'm not willing to pay it. Yard sales are so scattered and the heat is unbearable right now to boot.

Sorry for the rant. Been a long day of hunting in 95+ temps to have nothing to show for it.  :-\

Trust me, it's not just you. I know a lot of local collectors and the majority of them no longer hunt because there is very little point to it now. Think about it; you go out for hours and hours, waste a ton of gas going from location to location with no certainty you'll even find anything. And even if you do find something, you're lucky if that one thing or several things amounts to the cost in gas and time used.

What I posted yesterday was also not obtained for a couple of bucks. I didn't pay ebay prices, but I didn't get them for next to nothing either, most were obtained somewhere in the middle. Finding games for dirt cheap has become significantly harder due to the saturation of collectors and resellers, as well as most of the good retro deals being long gone due to finite supply.

I rarely hunt anymore, not even close to the level I used to because it's simply not worth my time when I can save myself A TON of time on Ebay, and in most cases a lot of money as well.

I've also given up on yard sales. Too many resellers here in the Bay Area cleaning them out well before I get there. Thrift stores here are odd. Original Xbox I can pick up for $10. But for a PS2 they typically want $40. Then out of the blue I score dozens of CIB master system games for 79 cents each.

My favorite Mom and Pop shop announced last week they no longer sell video games (table top games only now). That's hit me like the death of a family member. Half of my collection is from that shop.

At this point I've become a late night lurker on eBay. Refreshing my watch list and searches in hopes of a low low "buy it now" or a "make an offer".

I've had pretty decent luck with make an offer. Paying significantly under list.

Goodwill my friends. I may not find NES and SNES era stuff there like I used to, but I can definitely find PS1 and beyond stuff there pretty often (PS2, Xbox 360, Wii, Xbox, PS3, DS, etc).

dashv, you're in the Bay Area, too? I must keep forgetting... but yeah, thrift shops around here are odd.  Usually no gaming stuff, and if there are, it's usually of little interest.  Occasionally we'll get some good items, but it feels more like luck of the draw.  Games at yard sales get snatched up before they even officially open for the day, so my best bet has just been crossing my fingers at my local thrift spots.  I don't make a big trek anywhere because I don't have a car, and there's something nice about just being at the right place at the right time sometimes :)

I frequent Goodwill every couple days, but they don't usually have anything worthwhile. I think I've picked up two games there in two years. Halo 2 for PC and Kirby for Wii sealed which was cool.

I don't see myself hitting the thrift stores again any time soon. The flea markets have mostly dried up and what is left is mostly indoor antique booths.

My best finds have been at storage lots that open up to sell junk on the weekend.   There's another one locally I haven't checked out yet and I'll probably do that next week.

eBay is my main go-to these days.

Snowball Run was bought last week. It looks like this weird Super Monkey Ball clone for PCs so I had to grab it.
1000 Best Games for Windows was $1, it's just a typical  Swift Software shareware and PD release but it was sealed so why not.
Final Fantasy IX was $2! I bought it with another game and a movie for $5 total. It'll replace my GH Squeenix variant.
And Mortal Kombat: More Kombat? I had no idea this album even existed! It was apparently released as a second soundtrack album for the first MK movie. It's a bit scratched but I couldn't resist at a dollar. :p

I totally understand your rant. I rarely stop at Flea Markets any more, I usually hit those during the winter when garage sales are out of season. I've seen prices higher then Ebay sometimes from Flea Markets. And thrift stores, again I stop at them once in a while, but most of the time I find just sport games.

I always hear about people still finding deals at both of these places and it doesn't hurt to check in on them, you might get lucky.

How I get the finds I do takes a lot of driving around and foot work for 3 days at 6 hours each day. Part of the fun is the hunt, I have a ton of competition in my area, there's more and more resellers every year, I'm shocked I can find anything anymore. Heck I'm finding more and more garage sales where they want top retail prices on games, nothing ruins my day garage sale'n and see a table full of games at high end ebay prices.  :(
The only tip I can give you is hit as many sales as you can, it's a numbers game. out of the 50 sales I hit maybe 15 will have games, and maybe 2-3 will have good retro games.  8)

I'm genuinely curious as to how much gas money you'd estimate spending each week just on the hunts. One of the reasons I stopped hunting, aside from sparse and expensive pickings combined with very specific wants on my part, is that the time and gas spent didn't equal what I was coming away with. Not to mention normal wear and tear on a vehicle, which many people don't factor in but more driving equals shorter vehicle life span which means buying a new one sooner. In your case, you consistently come away with great hauls so that's not the issue.

For me, when I factored in the price of gas, and my time which is also very important, I was finding that it wasn't even close to a good balance to make it worthwhile. Again, for me. Your finds are awesome to read though :)

I live in a pretty rural area in Missouri.  I'm 10 miles from the closest town which is Farmington.  I drug my youngest daughter out with me this past Monday.  Drove 10 miles to Farmington, then south for about 20 miles to a town called Fredericktown that had a listing for two thrift stores and a Goodwill.  Well, the first thrift store is gone.  Thanks for the updated listings YP!   >:(  Drove over to the Goodwill, only to find that it's a regional office and not a store.   >:(  Around the corner was a thrift store.  The best thing they had there was Ecco for PC.  Meh...didn't bother.

Now, headed north for 35 or so miles to another town called Bonne Terre which "supposedly" has three thrift stores.  I already knew one was there because I picked up Def Jam Vendetta there.  Well, the second one in the center of town was long since gone and the other one in the Bonneville Plaza was closed.  It's been closed the last three times I drove past the damn thing!   >:( >:( >:(

Headed back south and stopped in Desloge at a pawn shop.  They had some nice stuff, but had it priced at eBay levels.  It took all of two minutes to see I wouldn't be buying anything in here.  They wanted $55 for beat up DSi's for @##$ sake!

Drove further south (working my way back toward home) to another town called Park Hills.  Didn't see anything at the pawn shop that I wanted/needed.  The two thrift stores were both closed (notice a trend here?) and the local junk shop Jose's didn't have any electronic device newer than I would say...1940ish???  The mom & pop store was also closed.  I guess Monday is the new Sunday around here.  Not that I buy much there anymore because they have been raising their prices where it is nowhere near reasonable.  On the way back to Farmington, I stopped in one of those antique/flea market indoor stores.  Not a single game to be found there.

Headed back to Farmington and stopped at Goodwill.  The only thing I was interested in there was a copy of Hot Shots Golf for the PSP which was a Greatest Hits version.  Unfortunately, some douche let the insert ride up about a half-inch over the top of the case and it was pretty much obliterated.  I passed.

It was then that I hit up the Farmington Gamestop which is the only one within 40 miles and my bud Dave runs.  He's a good guy and all his staff are gamers.  No hipster douches here.  Ended up with Duck Tales new for $10.  Also picked up used, complete & like-new condition copies of Aliens vs. Predator and Medal of Honor for the PS3.  They also had a nearly complete copy of Dragon Age Origins collector's edition for the PS3.  All it was missing was the map.  After I got the sticker residue off the outer sleeve and wiped it down really good, it looks pretty presentable.  Got that for seven bucks.

Moral of the story?  I drove close to 100 miles total and spent about six hours of my life, only to end up back at Gamestop where I got some decently priced games in great condition.  Next time, I'll just drive my ass up to Chesterfield where there is a big V-stock store or browse eBay.  I still have one more of those storage places that doubles as a weekend flea market in Farmington to hit up this coming weekend and one of the local pawn shops where I picked up the Zelda and Mario Wii games is about a half-mile from there.

But man...it sucked doing all that and basically coming home empty-handed.   :-\

Final Fantasy Curtain Call complete for the 3DS.  My nephew got it as a gift this past Christmas and didn't like it.  I was just over visiting him and he said I could have it.  I guess it is technically a Final Fantasy title in the loosest sense, so...one more for my FF collection.

Picked up five complete original Xbox games yesterday for ten bucks.  Forza w/Xbox Live Arcade, Project Gotham Racing 1 & 2 and Rallisport Challenge Platinum Hits.  But the real treat was Kabuki Warriors!  Aside from some shelf wear, it looks brand new.  Considering all the bad things I have heard about it, it doesn't surprise me.  When I saw it, I thought about the Game Informer review where Andy said he won a match just by bashing the controller against his ass.  I knew I had to get this turd.

By the time am replying to this thread the game that I saw was already sold and the only two available at Mercado Libre are so damn expensive so this game will have to wait but I did purchase two more titles for my NES when I was on that site, the first one is Slalom (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slalom_%28video_game%29) and only because I saw that this was the first game developed by Rare but what's is a little strange is that it doesn't have the typical Official Nintendo Seal of Quality, the Made in Japan reference and the NES ID on the label, talked about this with some friends and they told me that it might be a a variant this game, the second one is the Pinball (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinball_%28video_game%29), both games were at the same seller store so decided to purchase them at the same time to avoid paying two postal services, only paid the miserable quantity of 12 bucks for both titles which by the way are in excellent conditions  8)

On average it costs about a quarter a tank of gas a day. and at current gas prices that cost is about $10-$13 a day in gas to go hunting. Where I live gas prices are about 2.50-2.75 a gallon. and it costs about $40-$50 to fill the tank from empty. As for wear on the car, ya it does. But I've had my car I currently drive for well over 6 years and so far she's a trooper. (you'd be shocked if you saw what car I drive) lol  I bought this car brand new and in 6 years it only has 58k on it for millage. I love driving it and I enjoy driving around hunting. You gotta do what you love, some people spend gas on long trips, others spend a lot of gas to commute to a job or use their car for a job. I spend the money and gas because its what I love to do. I don't spend a lot of money on trips, fancy restaurants or a family. My family is small and I spend as much time with them as I can. I have no wife or children to take care off so this is how I have fun. Hunting for new games, each week I never know what I could find.  ;)

BTW so far today I have two great finds from garage sales, a huge DS lot for $20 and a huge mixed bag full of retro video game goodness for $40. :)

I also just got in the mail a gaming console I've been trying to get my hands on for a very long time now and I finally found one not insane priced. Box is beat up but the console is in pretty nice shape. What is it? Find out Saturday night.  ;)

holy crap did I get an incredible find today. I found a lot of games and 6 of the games in this lot alone sell for $250.  :o
And on top of that some of those games included their strategy guides.  :o :o

After that find I pretty much quit the garage sales to wait in line outside Best Buy to get my Dark Pit Amiibo.  ;)

TheFlea do you work? lol. To me it seems like you are always out hunting for games, or are videogames your source of income?

Yes I have a job, lucky for me its a graveyard shift. So by the time I get off work I can get in a small nap, then hit the sales early morning then get some more sleep once I get home then go to work in the late afternoon. I have a well paying job and it pays my bills and my hobby. I do sell the extras I get, but its only to help fund the cost of more expensive games I normally would never be able to buy. I mainly go hunting on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

These are from Wednesday, I haven't had much time to go hunting / digging for things.

- Lemmings 2: The Tribes (DOS) - CIB - $1! The box is a bit trashed, and I wasn't going to grab it, but I opened it and saw that it had everything... so for a buck, why not.
- Men in Black: The Game (Win 95) - $1 The game is probably garbage, but eh. I couldn't resist. :P

I went to some Gamestops today to get some more Wii games, since I've heard that they may be discontinued there at the end of the year.

-Ju-On The Grudge
- Mushroom Men the Spore Wars
-Lost in Shadow
-Wartech: Senko no Ronde ( X360)
- Shiren the Wanderer
- Boom Blox Bash Party
-Order Up!
-Spectrobes Origins

All of these were CIB, except for Lost in Shadow and Wartech.

I might have to move on some Wii titles soon if this ends up being true. There aren't too many left I'm after, but the ones I am looking for are already a pain in the ass to find with Gamestop's search feature. Can't imagine trying to find them later on while hunting at random places.

Yeah, I understand your pain. I'm extremely lucky to have a bunch of stores near me for getting some of that stuff, but I know that there a lot of areas where there aren't too many in a 100 mile radius. I'm probably going to use Gamestop for most of the $10 or less titles, and then use Amazon for stuff for some of the other titles since their prices are better for some games vs Gamestop. I'm almost done with my Wii wishlist, so I'm going to try to get the rest of those before the year ends.
