2. Metroid Prime Remastered (Switch) - Beat 3/8/23

AMAZING, this is my first time playing this one. Even as a long time Metroid fan, I've always been nervous to play it because I usually get sick playing first person games, but for some reason I didn't have any issues with it. So yea, game was awesome, loved every minute of it. Cant wait for the next one to get remastered.

Just ordered a new GPU, went with the 7900 XTX, this is going to be the first time I went with a Radeon card since they were still ATI. super excited about it, anyone use AMD cards?

I have this and will say that the whole upscaling 1080p to 4k apparently depends on your tv.. I have a Sony x900h which when i purchased it was one of the better options for 4k gaming as it hat HDMI 2.1 VRR and all that jazz. Unfortunately i have not been able to get the mClassic to upscale my switch to 4k.... now with that said, it does absolutely smooth out the picture. so even though it doesn't upscale for me, its still worth it.

1. Pokemon Violet (Switch) - Beat 1/14/23

First game of the year finished! Over all pretty happy with this one, just wish they could have fixed some of the framerate issue and bugs before they shipped it lol.

But if you do plan on downsizing I'd do it soon. I imagine with everything occurring in the world and the economy, there might finally be a downturn in prices in the near future. I've been wrong about that before, but might as well strike while the iron is still hot.

Yup, that's another factor in why I'm doing it now. I already starting posting some stuff on ebay and its already starting to sell lol. I tossed up a link to my ebay page on the Auctions thread if anyone is interested, and I'll gladly give discounts to forum members.

For the longest time, my collection was about nostalgia, I loved the feeling of popping a cartridge in console and playing it on my CRT. These days I really prefer convivence and i find myself playing old games in emulators.. I've decided to start my purge with big collectors editions, sealed items, and handheld games; and then I'll branch out from there.

My big thing this year is going to be reevaluating my collection and collecting habits. I've been collecting for years and this point I feel like my collection is just become too cumbersome and actually it's be kinda weighing on me a bit. So this is the year that I take a look at what I have and actually begin to downsize a bit. I'm not giving up collecting, but I am going to change what I collect, sell off a portion of my collection and invest that back into my other hobbies. I really want to enjoy gaming and game collecting again and I think this is the best way for me to do it.

Btw, since it was mentioned, I apologize if people have ended up with the same Santa/Giftee as from previous years. The one thing I don't really ever post is who is who's Santa and when pairing people up, I'm sure I screw up occasionally!

There's only so many that participate, its bound to happen. Selection should be totally random anyway so its not your fault at all! in fact it's nothing to be be sorry about at all, just part of how this works!

Ended up getting sick so I'm just getting around to posting this now; but I just wanted to give a big Thank You to my Santa this year! I'm pretty sure I know who my Santa was as I had him a while ago and recognized the name.



Lots of really good stuff in here and I'm really excited about Tiny Toons, I've heard great things about it and have been wanting to give it a shot for a while now! Thank you so much!!!
