Gaijinworks is doing it again... they're trying to check on interest on a physical copy of Class of Heroes 2G for the PS3.
The game will be digital-only but if enough folks are interested, Gaijinworks will do a one-time production run of the physical game.

That indeed sounds like something that will cost a lot later on. I've never played a Class of Heroes game before because I can't find them, so I guess this would be a good time to try!

Absolutely. No way I'm letting this one slip by me. If you have the least bit of interest in it, I'm not sure why you wouldn't - it's pretty much a guarantee, given the extremely small window that will be open for anyone to buy it, that you'll at least be able to get back what you paid for it if you end up not liking it or just not wanting it for whatever reason.

I haven't played any of the sequel, but I played some of the original. It's a first-person party-based turn-based dungeon crawler. :) If you're an old-school gamer, it's the same style as Might & Magic / Bard's Tale / Wizardry. If you're not familiar with those, then the most popular modern game it's like is the Etrian Odyssey series.

Same here. I grabbed it, it really seems like it's really a can't-miss for me in terms of the kinds of games that I love and future trade value, if that ever happens.

Im kind of disappointed that they are leaving this open for a month and its getting pasted on every gaming forum I visit. :( I hope they stick to the 7000 number they originally mentioned. There is a chance it may go over that making it not as "super amazing limited".
Im not a value guy but this is one I wanted to remain a legitimate collectors item.

They couldn't even reach their goal in the beginning, and that was without anyone having to actually spend a dime. I really doubt they're going to sell enough for it to be even remotely "common".

I really like the thought of this being actually "limited". Im sure its been mentioned before but most LE/CEs of games end up more common than the standard editions to begin with. I just hope some sort of numbers are mentioned eventually.

UPDATE: Due to a very hard to reproduce bug, we had to do a tedious bug hunt and another round of QA which delayed us for about 4 weeks. The game is scheduled to complete what we hope is the final round of QA and receive manufacture approval from Sony the week of 10/5. The packaging (revised again) is ready to go, so we should finally be in manufacture very soon. We'll keep you posted as we close in on manufacture and shipping. Thanks for your patience!

You're obviously not very familiar w/ Working Designs then - they took FOREVER to put anything out. Heh, side-note, I actually won an auction on ebay several years back for some Japanese PS2 games and it turns out Vic - the main dude behind WD - was the seller. Took him a solid month to get me the games after the auction ended. ::)

Ha, yeah, I set an alert on the site for myself with a site monitor because I realized that they were posting updates there about their Kickstarter rewards rather than actually emailing folks who pledged for their KS ::)
It's helpful to set up something like that for something that is infrequently updated...

10.13.14 UPDATE: Game is still in final Sony QA. We've completed internal QA on this submitted version without problems. Manual, packaging, holograms, etc are ready to go, so we're just waiting on approval for the code to make the discs. Keep your fingers crossed - we're almost there!

10.17.14 UPDATE: The game passed Sony QA today! Next week we will get our manufacturing timeframe. We can't wait for you to check this out (especially the dual-screen play!).

Manufacture of the manual and coversheet were greenlighted and are already underway. All materials should be shipped off to Sony Disc Manufacturing early next week. We're awaiting our slot for the disc pressing and package assembly. The digital PSN release, which must go through its own QA once the physical is approved has been submitted and is in the approval process now. In short, we're rushing headlong toward release at last! It's the final countdown!

Wasn't it originally supposed to have a blue PS3 banner on the cover? What happened to those anyways? It seems like PS3 games only had the blue banner for a couple months before they went back to black. I'm assuming the blue was supposed to match with PS4 and Vita games, but it sure didn't last long. Mugen Souls Z, Drakengard 3, and Deception IV are a few that had the blue banner, if any of you are wondering what I'm talking about.

I noticed that all the games I have from 2014 have the All on the spine, 2013 still had the 1 on the spine. I'm assuming it changed when 2014 came around, but I'm not 100% sure.

Yes and no. Even though they were region free, they are still technically region 1 games. Some of the new games with the "All" on the spine even say on the back that they're optimized for region 1 consoles.

I got it too! I guess we'll have the game in our hands by the first week of December. I'm happy but sad at the same time, since I'll be in finals, and right after the finals I'm leaving for the holidays, so I won't have much time to try it before next year :-\

From what I understand, the email you should have gotten a week or two ago confirming your shipping address will be the last email you get.

So...has anyone actually opened theirs yet? :P I'm not a sealed game collector, but that fancy holographic seal on the shrinkwrap has given even ME pause. No point in opening it until I'm ready to play it anyway, but...now part of me is thinking of just picking up the digital copy at some point & playing that so I can keep it sealed. What is happening to me??

I opened up my Class of Heroes 2 for PSP and just cut the sticker off and put it behind the manual.
I haven't opened 2G yet tho, cause I won't be playing it til way later.
I am kinda sad that they didn't include a Certificate like they did on CoH2.

I got mine today!!!! FINALLY!!! I was worried about it since Zenimus, who lives in the same county, got his last week. I was especially worried since my wife got an email from the HOA stating that people were reporting someone taking packages that had been dropped off at neighbors' homes. I guess that's how robbers Christmas shop.

I was in the same boat, GrooD! I got one copy at my workplace last Friday and had been really nervous about the ones being sent to my house 1 mile away because it's possible the mailman left the mail on the porch. I didn't get it until today! Understandably, they probably just sent packages as soon as they could, not all at once, and it probably took a week or two to get it all processed and sent out.
