...must...not...make...your mom joke.

Seriously, it's the Game Genie/Gameshark.

I like never cheat anymore. But back when I was a kid and teenager, all the freaking time! And Game Genies and Gamesharks were my best friend.

THE POWER GLOVE!  It's so bad.

Hrmm, definitely an interesting topic. Atm, my favorite accessory would have to be my LCD screen on my PS1. It actually lets me play my system.

This is a little broad. Could you narrow it down a little?  Are we talking controller or something else?  There are a ton of different types of accessories.

Maybe the 32x? Is that an accessory?

Action Replay 4m Plus for Saturn. Allowing me to easily play imports.

Circle pad Pro for 3DS. Allowing me to play RE:Rev with dual analog sticks.

Classic Controller Pro for wii. Letting me play xenoblade and other w/o dealing with goofy control schemes.

Light Boy for GB. Spent years attached to my GB allowing for night time playing during car trips and sneaky late night gaming when I shoulda been sleeping.

I love the power glove for it's size and general uselessness!

I also loved my Game Genie for the NES and SNES, nothing like jumping over the pole in SMB and just running until you die :)

Hmm.. that is tough, I agree with Scott on the action replay but I also really really like the Saturn 3D controller, and the PS1 Flight stick

While it didn't do much for the gaming experience, I haven't experienced accessory joy equivalent to opening my Steel Battalion controller.  When you power up the mech for the first time, and all of the lights under the buttons cycle on.  Ooh.  Gave me goosebumps.

Ive seen those a few times. I could imagine what a person that likes that genre of game would feel like playing with that. I guess it would be the equivalent of me playing Dragon Warrior in a full suit of armor. :)

If it happens, we need pictures.

Hmm. I'll have to give my 3D controller another try. I played around with it for a bit, but went back to my regular Saturn controller shortly after.

For me it is the Sega Genesis 6 button controller. After getting it, it was hard to use the original one. Plus, it is godly on the Atari 2600!

I think I am the only person who prefers the 3-button controller. The 6-button is just too small (the buttons are small as well).

Microsoft DualStrike Controller ] Don't know WHY this was never updated and migrated to the Xbox. Stupid Gits.
Gamester FPS Master Controller ] Unreal Tournament on PS2? Halo on Xbox? You were good as dead in seconds around me.
3D Saturn Controller ] Should have been updated and adapted (not replaced) for Dreamcast.
PlayStation Move Controller ] Someone got this concept right AND improving it on PS4. Oh and Nintendo...SHUT UP already about doing this one first. First doesn't make it right.

Those things are ridiculously expensive. I tried to pre-order the metal slime keyboard when it was first announced and every place was either already sold out or wants 5 times the base cost.

There's a metal slime version!? *opens google*

The prices did go up pretty quick on the regular one.

Yeah they are both expensive. I wish I had been quicker on the pre-order :(
