Nice with Capcom Vs SNK 2. I didn't know there were others interested in collecting for the naomi. I always wished it got a standard naomi release instead of the GD-ROM. Do you run a complete cab or just have the naomi connected to a screen?

I really want to get a sega vs city cabinet.

Congrats on the purchase.

I run everything through a supergun, when the rent expires it's a lot easier to move a tiny PCB than a full cab! XD

But I don't actually own a Naomi at the moment - I used to, but I couldn't quite justify the GD ROM drive so I was stuck with carts. With disc games being so cheap and common (on the whole) this is my attempt at "forcing my hand"; I'm hoping to get myself enough GD ROM games so that by the time I do faff around with Naomi again I have a lot of cool games waiting at home to be enjoyed :)

Pretty badass. I'm not very much a figure guy, but I like having a couple around and this one is cool.

All your purchases are really awesome. Make mine seem lame in comparison, haha.

In the past few days I picked up:

VC - Mario Tennis from Club Nintendo (used my coins)

DS - SMT Strange Journey ($7)

Wii U - LEGO City Undercover (on sale at Target, get a $10 gift card with purchase and reserve of GTA V, which was a buck)

Wii - The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (had got a used copy from Gamestop that wouldn't play past the opening movie, so I ordered a new one with cd from Amazon, which I should have done in the first place)

GCN - Super Mario Sunshine ($28, at a used book store I frequent. Thought I would have to hunt this one down)

Wii - LEGO Lord of the Rings (Off Amazon, for $14)

Wii - LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 (used at GS for $16)

Wii - LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 (used at GS for $16)

Wii - LEGO Star Wars the Complete Saga (used at GS for $16, might have been $14)

DS - The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (used at GS for $25)

DS - The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (used at GS for $25)

DS - Chrono Trigger (my free game at GS during the B2G1 sale on DS/Wii games. Never been a huge fan, but willing to give it another shot)

I could have got a better deal on the DS Zeldas I am sure, but I had some credit and they had a sale going on.

Been loving the PS3 Atelier games, so far...so (even though there wasn't a nice NIS America pre-order/LE bonus...anything), I still decided to get it  :o

Still sick, so I don't feel like bothering with pics this time, but recently snagged Ragnarok Tactics, Otomedius Excellent: Special Edition, Borderlands 2 + Season Pass ($25 Amazon Deal of the Day, woot!), and Torchlight II.

Not too much longer until Soul Hackers should be shipping... :)

My Neogeo X Gold came in today. Yeah, this thing is pretty badass. I haven't got to spend a lot of time with it yet, but Metal Slug is awesome. It was worth the price of admission. After The Boy goes to bed, I'll spend a little more time with it.

I recently went out and bought a new surge protector. It is a major improvement because it allows me to hook up my tower of power (3 brick AC adapters), saturn, dreamcast, Xbox, 360, TV, Audio Receiver, and Audio mixer. It's nice not having to unplug everything to play the SEGA CD.

I also finally bought a Audio extension so I can connect the composite audio to the receiver and not the TV.

Next on my list is to buy some SCART (RGB) cables for the Genesis and Saturn along with a SCART to component converter to connect to US televisions. Then the VGA cables for the Dreamcast with a VGA to HDMI or component converter. Then, I should have my setup the way I want.

I've heard you can still get those XBand modems to work if you coordinate with someone else who has one. Apparently, these just dialed directly if desired. There are some youtube videos of it. Neat if true. Xband would have lasted longer then XBox Live.

Sweet! I'll have to give it a whirl once it comes in. I wonder if it will work over a VOIP phone line? The fax machine does, so I don't see why this wouldn't...

Bit envious of your Magna Carta 2 score. I put off buying that one for ages, and now prices are getting kinda blech online.

Surprised to see R-Type Final tho - I thought you weren't much for shmups? :)

Picked up a few things in the past couple days.

Bought a red GBA sp, with a really great condition screen other than a small piece of dust inside.

Also bought a copy of The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, though it has a big "Not for Resale" on it. I guess it was used in a kiosk at some point. It is not the DEMO version though.

Found a copy of Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn yesterday at GS, in really good condition. Everything came with it, including unused club Nintendo code. Now I need to find Path of Radiance for the Gamecube. I'd probably straight trade my Suikoden II copy for one if I could find one.

Today I grabbed a copy of Fire Emblem Awakening, (again), and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky.

Yeah, I got a decent price on Magna Carta 2 - otherwise I probably would have passed on it (again).

No plushie (yet?) for me, but I may splurge on it when my finances are doing better. The motherboard I picked up a couple weeks ago set me back pretty hard, and it hit right before bill paying time... then I got sick for a week, and lost 3 days of work, so I've gotta watch it for awhile. My check this week is gonna be for only two days of work! :(

Nice! I have been meaning to try this one for awhile. Feel free to post some impressions when you start to play it!

I'd actually borrowed the PS3 version from someone awhile back, and found I liked it a fair bit. Reminds me a little bit of Left 4 Dead meets Borderlands meets Dead Rising 2 - very large, open areas to explore, with a lot of little sidequests and characters sprinkled throughout the landscape, and a pretty nice system for creating custom weapons. I can see it maybe getting a touch repetitive, but it hits that "just one more quest... " nerve nicely.

I didn't pay attention to the pre-release hype, and never really do with games, so I don't know what people were complaining about. It's a fun game!

The deal I found is on Amazon, and appears to still be active - http://www.amazon.com/Dead-Island-Game-Edition-Online/dp/B008NAYASM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1365690876&sr=8-1&keywords=dead+island. Just open the games library after purchasing, activate the serial key in Steam, and off you go :)

The only "problem" (read: well, *consideration*, really) is that the 3 I aleady had are all the exact same size, "Iris Hearts You" is longer & narrower than all 4 of the others, and, "Peer Pressure"...is a bit shorter & wider than all 4 of my other ones  :o

Hmmn...May need to re-arrange them all when I hang the 2 new ones up (not *complaining*, mind you - I actually looking forward to having the time to do all of this (probably not until around Mon, or so)...

Apparently, I broke 3,000 posts!

Time for rankings higher than "Hero Member", mayhaps?

That title will be "Lord high Lord of the VGcollect" and that will go to me and me alone!!!! Muahahahah

Or we could just simple name it "Shameless Post Whore"  :P

I got home this afternoon, and my wife greets me with "I got you something!".  Turns out she dropped $30 on this

If you can't see the two on the left, that's Wonderboy and Ghostbusters.

Sweet! Those are some good games. I am a huge wonder boy fan. If you can snag wonder boy 3, do it! Dragon's trap is amazing. Also, monster world 4 is available on PSN/XBLA and is just gorgeous.

Also, a suggestion, Outrun (and almost every other SMS racing game) suffers from the crippling defect of having to press up and down to shift. There is a good pedal that makes it fantastic to play. I highly recommend.

Just got an Intertron VC4000 today, Got it for $15 wth 12 games. Shipping was a bit much to get it from the UK but still cheaper then most for the system alone. It was pretty dirty but once I cleaned it up it's looks pretty good.

Tested it out on my PAL TV and it works and all the carts work fine. The picture is a bit fuzzy think it might need a new RF cable. The Joysticks remind me of the Atari 5200 but at least they center better the the 5200. The Graphics look like an Atari 2600 and the best games (that I got anyway) are Invaders (Space Invaders clone) and Monster Man (Pac-Man clone). Not sure if any of the games I got are really "rare" but In the US they are all rare. lol

Pickups this month...

Console - Intertron VC4000

Finally picked up 3D MineStorm, 3D Crazy Coaster and 3D Narrow Escape for the Vectrex and gave my 3D Imager a whirl. I gotta say, it's great how they're able to assign colors to certain objects in the games using the shutter. I was underwhelmed with the 3D effects, though. Nothing really popped out at me and the convergence seemed to be off when things were far away, essentially doubling the image. Perhaps there is some sort of calibration step that I'm missing. That said, things that were at a middle distance and eventually up close to the viewing point seemed to converge pretty well. Maybe I'm just expecting too much out of first generation 3D gaming.

I also picked up Galactic Pinball, Panic Bomber and Wario Land for the Virtual Boy. I now lack seven games from completing a cart-only Virtual Boy US release set.

'twas my bday yesterday, so my boyfriend surprised me with the Journey collection. He wanted to go pick me up a PS3 finally yesterday, but I convinced him that we should wait for a price drop... hopefully it comes soon!  I told him I don't have any time to play games right now anyway, until class is done in a month...

Wait until tax refund time. THEN you'll sell a price drop. :)

Also welcome back. :D

I haven't bought any new games lately, but I did trade in quite a few games to get some other games all for the Xbox 360

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City
Red Dead Redemption
Midnight Club: Los Angeles
L.A. Noire
Saints Row
Saints Row 2

I also picked up an NES with Spiderman: Return of the Sinister Six

I will shortly be receiving another NES and SNES that someone is giving me because she is unsure if they work so I will be getting those and hopefully they work fine.

Both for well under $5 a piece on eBay. Now all I need is Castlevania: Legend and I have all the Game Boy/GBA Castlevania titles!

And both of these in a recent trade:

Congrats on the cheap Castlevania get! Cart only, I assume? If not I'm super jealous ha.

For me, I got SimCity DS for like $7 complete and almost brand new! Been wanting it for awhile, but didn't want to pay the $20 I'd seen it going for new. Seems like a nice deal to me, especially since its pretty minty.

Oh and I got a Super Mario fleece blanket for the retro game room, from the same store. Its really cozy too. :)

I love the "odd" game systems that most people never heard off, My goal is to own at least one of every game system ever made world wide. There is a few extremely rare systems that I doubt I'll ever own. But I have found rare systems in the past that where not overpriced. Like the Casio PV1000, the CreatiVision, Bandai/Apple Pippin atworld, N64DD, FM Town Marty, Turbo Duo and a Playstation Net Yarose.

Pretty decent haul. Halley Wars is a complete hidden gem. It is in my top 5 for the system. I honestly want to put it at my number 1 game for the system, but am sure I am forgetting something at the moment.  It is a excellent shmup (and not just for a portable, it is just really good).

Just one of those games that most people would probably overlook.

And this thing sells for $50 online for some reason, wow.

Got a big lot of Sega stuff off Craigslist last night -- mostly Genesis games (all but 4 came with at least the box).

The crown of the lot is a CIB Action 52!  Here's the rest:

Genesis:
Addams Family
Alex Kidd
Crue Ball
Dracula
Dragon's Fury
Fantasia
Home Alone
Indiana Jones
Incredible Hulk
Jungle Book
Lotus II
Mickey Mania
Mighty Max
Pagemaster
PTO
Radical Rex
Sonic & Knuckles
Super Monaco GP
Super Tecmo Bowl
Shinobi III
The Tick

Game Gear:
Halley Wars
Sonic Triple Trouble
Sonic Chaos
Super Columns
Woody Pop

It also included a Game Genie, 1 model 1 Genesis, 2 model 2 Genesis (1 non-working), 1 non-working Game Gear and like 6 controllers.

All for $50.
This is a great haul!

Indeed it is! Congrats!

But Action 52 being a crown jewel, ha! It's a cruel joke, really. It's completely insane that it's that expensive now. I had the game when it was brand-new...It was TERRIBLE! I was pissed I spent money on it. I thought I was getting a helluva deal with 52 games on one cart, what a dumb kid I was. Not a single game worth mentioning on that cart. Many were rehashes of another game on the cart, with a new name. And a few didn't even work right, they had game breaking glitches!

I've been getting a bunch of digital games through bundles and stuff.

GOG:
Earth 2140 Trilogy
Earth 2150 Trilogy
Earth 2160
Jagged Alliance 2: Mercenaries
Knights and Merchants
- Three bucks for these.

Screamer 2
- The only Interplay game they had that I was missing. Three bucks.

pid
- Indie sale.

Neverwinter Nights 2 Complete
- The only D&D game they had that I was missing. Four bucks.

Steam:
pid (Steam key from the same indie sale as the GOG version)
Red Orchestra 2 + Killing Floor DLC (Humble Weekly)
The Cave (trade)
Lunar Pack + Anodyne (Indie Royale bundle key)
Thirty Flights of Loving + Air Forte (Humble Weekly)
La-Mulana (Steam key from a Groupees bundle)

I also got a shareware CD with "1100 games" for Windows and Mac. We'll see if that's true. :P

Let me know what you think of The Cave!  It's been on sale off and on, and I've been wondering if it's another Trine clone or not.

Well I played it for a bit tonight since the weather's pretty good, and um, it plays a lot more like The Lost Vikings than Trine. There's been no combat, just puzzles. I'm enjoying it, but some puzzles are kinda... evil.

I have no delusions that Action 52 is absolutely horrible.  I'll probably pop it in once to sample the atrocities it holds, and then it will go back into my 'rare and valuable' display case.

Soul Hackers and Pandora's Tower came in! And in the box of video games they go...

Haha, yeah, I probably won't be playing either of those anytime soon, I'm afraid... Though, isn't your 3DS still out?  You could potentially play Soul Hackers...

Ya I opened up Soul Hackers and got about 30 mins into it. But I only have time to play games just before I fall asleep and ended up putting SimCity back in the 3DS, since I can save that at any point in the game. So I can just shut if off when I start getting tired.

Hah - yeah;

I'm planning on/looking forward to getting Soul Hackers more right now, just to pop-in the soundtrack & give it a listen as I'm driving around doing my daily errands/running around :)

After all...I've heard A LOT of love about the game's music :P

Chances are just as good that, with my HUGE backlog, that I'll just as likely get to play SMT IV before I do Soul Hackers  :o

I haven't had time to listen yet, but the included soundtrack is actually a remixed version of the original. Still gotta track down a standalone copy if you want the OG music :)

Not much of a haul but its better than nothing : I was walking around a game store looking at stuff when this family comes in with a box. I tried to peek in it but to no avail. No sweat ... I just kind of remained by when the employee walks up. We have had plenty of conversations before so hes cool and he knows Im a collector so he doesnt mind me there. First thing the lady pulls out is a Gamecube. The employee told her that they dont buy them atm cause they have too many. She says "It even has this cool thing that lets you play Gameboy games." I figure that was going to be my cue in a moment to hit her up. I look up at the employee and he nods at me ... so I ask her what she wanted for it. She said she wants to sell it cheap cause her kids are in trouble and she wants to get rid of it. I open the GC and the disk isnt in there. I ask if she has it and sure enough she has the disk, the manual and the case. She says she will sell me everything for $15. I pause for drama's sake but tell her Ill take it. I give her the $15 and hit the door. In the car, I go through it all. Gamecube, 2 official matching controllers, GB player with disk and memory card, and half dozen games including Zelda Windwaker and 2 GB Pokemon games : red and gold. They are missing the label but they are still in the color matching cartridges. Not too bad I suppose. I need to clean up the disks but they work. Both the Pokemon games work.

Nabbed a few more for the Vectrex:

Armor Attack
Art Master
Pole Position
Spin Ball
Starhawk
Web Wars

I think I'm now missing nine overlays, seven games and the light pen from having what I consider to be a "complete" collection (excluding Mr. Boston and Minestorm II).

Really? The Game Boy Player is awesome! It's like a much better version of the Super Game Boy. Only, it also allows you to play GBA games too. Not to mention, you can use it as a giant GBA and link it to another GC w/ GB Player and play 2 player co-op on 2 TVs! Win.

Here are my pickups for the month of April so far, I just started collecting as a hobby this month! So I'm still interested in "essential titles", like sonic and mario. lol

(http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd450/Torvez_Gonyea/DSCN0260_zpsf615586c.jpg) (http://s1220.photobucket.com/user/Torvez_Gonyea/media/DSCN0260_zpsf615586c.jpg.html)
(http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd450/Torvez_Gonyea/DSCN0262_zps5a7af3c2.jpg) (http://s1220.photobucket.com/user/Torvez_Gonyea/media/DSCN0262_zps5a7af3c2.jpg.html)

I'll start with what I ended up with today.
Traded Fable 2, Turok and Unreal Tournament 3 on Xbox 360 for
Super Mario Bros. 3, Sonic 2, Mortal Kombat 2 and a power adapter for my NES.
I also got the Dreamcast and blue VMU today.
I got my usual flea market guy to give me a deal,
he sold me a Dreamcast and a Game Cube for $40, gave the GC to my GF.
Also bought what I thought was a generic SNES controller for $3. Turned out being an old PC controller (guess I should have looked at the plug  ::))

The other day I traded a motherboard I had laying around for a mad catz light gun for saturn, 3 free saturn games pack, a new in box saturn RF switch,
and that blue Dreamcast controller (gave me even more incentive to buy a dreamcast today! lol)

Girlfriend bought me the Genesis with sonic for $25 after I talked the guy down from $40.
She also gave me the SNES after she bought a new one.

My sister gave me back the PSP I gave to her after she decided she never played it, thanks sis! lol

Traded an external hard drive for the saturn, virtua cop 2 and 2 controllers.

Got TMNT and Kid Niki for $2 a few days ago.

DBZ Budokai 3 was $.50 from salvation army

Traded a box of magic cards for hexen, virtua fighter 2, black fire and warcraft 2.

Also got disk only copies of Crysis 3 for PS3 and Aliens: Colonial Marines for 360, but they aren't pictured.

Ended up finding my original ps1 after thinking it was stolen when i was a kid! WTF!  ;D

I decided to use my Save Your Change, Folks gold on

Since it's still in beta, I actually get two copies of the game, so I traded the extra to a friend and had him buy me

which comes with a free copy of

I think I got a good deal guys!
I had an ad on Craigslist searching for Saturn games.
Somebody offered me these a long time ago and told me to make a cash offer, but I had none.
Today, I got an email from her saying she'd take $20 for all of them!
Still no cash on me. And then, just when I was going to say I can't, someone gave me an offer on some worthless old computer parts!
Got $40 from the junk!
Got a pretty damn good deal (I'd have paid $20 for Astal alone)!
Ended up taking the remaining $20 to a shop that had retro games for 30% off and got
Maximum Carnage - Genesis
Sonic Spinball
and Castlevania - N64 (I'm coming for you, Scott!  ;))

Honestly, I think cover project cases would be > original cases anyhow. The chances of getting a complete Saturn collection with totally unbroken/not cracked cases would be about the same as finding SE in the wild.

If I was collecting US Saturn games I would definitely use the cover project. You can find loose Saturn games cheap. People will have a CD book full of them and not be able to sell them. Moreover, the cover project covers look NICE! There's a part of me that still wants to have Sega CD, Saturn, Dreamcast, Xbox, 360 games all on a shelf. It would look clean and sharp.

Yeah, they look pretty amazing, next time I get some cash I'm going to kinkos or office max to print some covers.
The only thing is that the Saturn manuals are too long to fit in a DVD case.
Also, instead of using universal game cases for n64 games, I was planning on using those black plastic vhs cases.

PS1: Umihara Kawase Shun
DC: Pop'n Music 3, Pop'n Music controller, PSOv.2 (again, last one lost in the post), Cool Cool Toon, Cosmic Smash
PS2: Sega Ages 2500 Vol. 30: Galaxy Force II
PC (doujin): Aurorablast 2, ∀kashicverse -Malicious Wake-

I bought Pop'n Music in the hopes my son would want a go :)

I was also pleasantly surprised to find that not only did Pop'n 1 - 4 get DC releases but they brought out a few of the append discs too! Obviously that still doesn't bring it up to the amount on PS1/PS2, but I think it's enough to be getting on with.

So I found this yesterday.

This is a Japanese R2 DVD of Street Fighter. It was brand new, but I already opened it. This is a Sample version - it has a sticker over the JAN code, and it has "SAMPLE - LOAN" written on the inner ring of the disc. It was in a box with at least fifteen other Japan-region DVDs that had the same marks and stickers on 'em, most were brand new - and another stack of promo R1 DVDs for various US movies and TV shows. It cost me $2, and of course, I can't watch it on an R1 DVD player, so I made a region-free disc instead. Ha ha. :P

Also, the curious thing - apparently this came out on my birthday (6/28). Pretty neat. ^^;

Well, the NES is already opened. It came out of the box in two pieces. The TV screen lights up, it just won't actually play the games when it is plugged in.

If the screen lights up but the games wont start, you may want to replace the connector. Could just be a really dirty pin in there.

Try taking a credit card and wrapping a thin cloth around it
(nothing that will break up into small bits though, try a soft cloth like you get with your phone screen protectors)
with a tiny bit of alcohol on it and insert it into the pin connector and move it up and down.
It worked for me a few times with numerous systems.

the NES biggest downfall is its pin connector, i always recommend that you replacing the pin connector when you buy a NES because those things are not made to last. the NES is built like a tank but the pin connector is not.

I don't know about "built like a tank". You bump those things or the shelf they're on and you're game is pretty likely to reset or start blinking.

I killed my cousin's save file for Destiny of an Emperor when we were kids, just from hopped off of my bunk bed. The game started blinking and we loaded the game back up and no save file. It was a sad day.

like i said the pin connector was not built like a tank, it both poorly thought out and designed and that's why the slightest bump would cause it to start blinking or even reset the game, everything else was built like a tank

I just walked out of Gamestop with the following for $45:

- Rhythm Heaven Feaver (Wii)
- Eternal Sonata (PS3)
- Super Paper Mario (Wii)
- Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together (PSP)

Some of them might not be worth it for the price I paid (new doesn't go for much more for some of them), but I figured I could always swap something out this weekend if I came across something better in another GS.  Just had a B2G1 coupon I wanted to use, and they have a little sale going on right now through Sunday.

I thought you already had Tactics Ogre?

I did - ironically, this was probably the same copy I bought before then returned in a previous sale...  :P

It's about the same price for new on Amazon, so I might swap it out for something else this weekend if I find something else.

Picked up Phantasy Star. Despite it being tied with Shenmue for my favorite game I have never owned it. At least, I've never owned the original SMS. I've played emulators and sonic's ultimate genesis collection and the phantasy star collection versions. I've just never owned a master system before.

This brings me to my other pickup... a master system. This pickup was inspired by a trade with SlothingXPIG. I have never owned a SMS before. But I decided to drive down to Thrillhouse and pick one up. I was shocked by how beautiful the SMS is in person. Pictures make them look so so. But in person, the SMS might be the best looking system I have seen.

I found this classic description of a master system on the Segabits forum by user Centrale

Quote
I love the Sega Master System.  Slick and sophisticated, its clean lines and crisp colors suggest an elegant lady assassin ridin' dirty on corinthian leather seats to a ballroom in order to eliminate the latest target.  It's got a flow chart printed on it that lets you know how the shit goes down on a day-to-day.  Its color scheme: black and red, the colors of a brotherman on the run.  It says to me, "fun is serious business."

 8)

It's the last SEGA system I need unless I go crazy and start with variations or pick up an SG 1000 or SC 3000.

April, you crazy son of a bitch!
I've picked up so much this month!
Stopped at my favorite flea market to trade some stuff.
Traded WC Battlechest, Diablo Battlechest, guild wars 2, swtor, unreal 2, need for speed pro street,
some other need for speed, sim city 4, morrowind, hyperblade, GBA-GC link, 360 av cords, 360 wired controllers with no breakaways, 2 wii stands.
(Didn't see the point in keeping PC games, I have ISO's of them)

Anyway, what I got today:
Sega Saturn Virtua Stick (been looking for one all month)
Dreamcast controller with VMU,
Blockbuster Genesis 6-button,
Pokemon Pinball (it even has the battery cover  ;D)
X-Men - genesis,
Final Fantasi XII collectors edition,
Space Invaders - N64
Gundum Battle Assault 2 (looking for this for ages)- PS1
Gex 3- PS1
Dino Crisis - PS1

Also ordered a Saturn Memory Card Plus for $10 earlier today!

Sega Saturn Virtua Stick (been looking for one all month)

Every time I see Virtua stick, my heart skips because I process it as the twin sticks. I recently got a virtua stick thrown in on a deal and I'm seemed way too excited because I totally thought he was talking about the twin sticks for a moment.

So... I just got Back to the Future: The Game, Cargo Commander and Dungeon Hearts on Steam via the Indie Royale.

I was waiting to buy Back to the Future from Telltale's site but they haven't had a sale there in what seems like years. :(

Pid, also!  BTTF has been on sale with GOG quite a number of times, but this bundle seemed decent for the price.

Only a couple things lately. Gotta watch the budget very closely right now, unfortunately.

Plus Dishonored, E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy, and Amnesia: The Dark Descent during recent Steam sales, plus Gothic 1-3 on sale from GOG. All dirt cheap!

hopefully I'll have more luck tomorrow... don't think I'll find much video game related stuff but I'll being going to a Toy, Model, & Film Expo so I should be finding some neat stuff at least.

I feel ya. I haven't been able to drop hardly any cash on gaming. I have a few preorders set up... but not sure I can afford that SHMUP from Play Asia in July or w/e. I have to be really careful with my budget until I get in the swing of paying a mortgage.

Ah, thanks for noticing!  I was pretty sleepy when I wrote up that post, so please excuse the mistake.  I've read that the PS3 version is a bit different, so I'm wondering if I should eventually pick up that version (or swap it out), but who knows when I'll get around to that one...

Yeah, I think that'd definitely require some adjustment. Just wait 'til tax time comes - I've seen what my Mom pays, and I'm always like O.O

In my case, I mostly got knocked down hard by my motherboard shipping during the worst possible time (backorder for like a month and a half, argh), then getting sick about a week later, and having to take time off of work. We don't get sick pay, and so my check that week was literally $156... and bills were also all due around that time. Still haven't fully gotten things back to normal either, since silly things like groceries keep getting in the way, and now that I'm riiight on the edge of getting it all built back up, bills are coming due again. Hooray!

When I told my roommate where my finances were at, he goes, "Jesus, really? I don't think you've been that low since... uh, well, since I've known you."

Sometimes, being a grown-up really sucks.

But did you know that being a grown-up you can cook and eat bacon at pretty much anytime you want? That's pretty sweet and I think makes up for everything else.

Unless your religion doesn't let you eat pork.

Then being an adult is hell.

Gotta love AoF 3. The animation in that game is kind of amazing for the time period, and it still holds up incredibly well!

Traded 3 Gameboy games and promo inserts for:
Spider-Man - N64
N64 RF adapter (since my new hdtv will only recoognize the consoles that have disks. Nothing with a cart works, unless I use RF)
Dreamcast rumble pack

Some ESSENTIALS there for the NES. All of them except for Rampage are MUST-HAVES. I hope you enjoy those superb titles. Rampage is a lot of fun too, but in short bursts. Extended gameplays get too repetitive, IMO.

Yeah, as soon as the guy mentioned Duck Tales and Legend of Zelda I was on board and he just kept adding games lol, turned out to be a pretty good deal!
I remember playing Rampage when I was around 6 and I know I'm gonna have some sort of nostalgic feeling when I pop it in lol. Same can be said for the other titles as well, I think this was one of the best trades this month, and there has been a ton! lol

Yep. I'm one of the guys who started/runs RGS. Some of us rode down from OKC together. It wasn't a huge event, but the vendors there had some solid stuff.

Hmm. Well you already have that red shell. So I'd say the silver one and swap it to the red case w/ the backlight.

That's cool. I heard Billy from GameChasers announce that he was going to be there. I wanted to go. But I am in the process of moving to DFW and have already did the drive so much lately, I didn't want to drive it again.

My wife was trash digging today and found Luigi's Mansion and Pokemon Colosseum on GameCube.  The Pokemon Colosseum had the bonus disc with it. Anyone have a spare Pokemon Colosseum Bonus Disc case laying around?

Congrats!

Touch Detective (and its sequel) is a quirky title - I hope you like it!  I feel bad 'cause it's one of the very few games I sold back, but mostly because I finished it in a very short amount of time.  But it's very cute.  And for some reason, the mushroom companion ("Nameko" in Japan) is *extremely* popular in Japan.  I saw him everywhere and kept thinking, "but the games were only okay!"

I'm curious how age of empires plays with the stylus. I imagine it could be done very well.

I was hoping the same, but when I played Age of Empires: The Age of Kings, it felt somewhat closer to Fire Emblem...

Broke down and bought a couple games. This collecting addiction is horrible sometimes....

Found Mass Effect 3 (360) brand new, in a bargain bin and decided to finally pick it up.  And, I happened upon a sweet deal on Revelations: The Demon Slayer (GBC)! Chalk up another MegaTen game get for Scott!

I've been wanting Revelations: The Demon Slayer for awhile now and can't wait to get some game time on it. This one was on Amazon, newly listed and for half of what everyone else was asking for it. So I snagged it up.
