Title: E3 Thread!
Post by: kamikazekeeg on June 09, 2014, 02:54:59 pm
Not gonna hit on everything here, so lets just post what interests you as it all comes out.
I will commend Xbox this year for a purely game driven show. They said it was games and it was. No pushing kinect or tv, no sports, just gaming. Overall, alot of multi-system stuff, but the exclusives that stood out was Sunset Overdrive which looks like Jet Set Radio had a baby with Dead Rising. Crackdown 3 I'm interested for the potential as the first game was a lot of fun, 2 was balls, so hopefully they handle it better, especially since they have to be better than Saints Row 4 which was like a spiritual successor practically lol And then Scalebound by Platinum games could be interesting, will depend on actual gameplay, but the trailer makes it to be your some modern guy with headphones that fights with sword and magic, utilizing dragons to fight increasingly larger giant monsters. So How To Train Your Dragon, but badass I guess lol
That's just the start so far. EA up next. Hoping for Battlefront footage with this one.

That Farcry 4 opening cutscene was amazing. I'm very interested in seeing where the story goes in this one! :)

Yeah he seems like another memorable villain for sure. A bit of class and a bit of crazy lol I was really wanting to see more on that game and it just happened to be the first thing they showed lol

Call me crazy, but the one game that has me way more excited then anything else so far is the next Tomb Raider. What an awesome trailer :D

The only thing that got me interested during MS's conference was Ori and the Blind Forest, and they didn't even talk about it after a 45 seconds trailer :( Can't wait to see Sony in 3 minutes though!

Little Big Planet 3 looks pretty awesome, it's nice to see the addition of new characters instead of just more of the same stuff from the previous games. That white PS4 is pretty sexy looking too. :D Actually, I'm liking most of Sony's conference. Also, is the Playstation TV we're getting the same as the Playstation Vita TV Japan got? ???

I officially hate PS4/Vita owners because you jerks are getting Grim Fandango.
YOU DON'T DESERVE OUR AWESOME PC GAMES, CONSOLE PEASANTS.

I've been watching stuff all day. Battlefront is the only thing to make get a tingle. Sucks that I can't get Assassin's Creed until I get a new system.
Nintendo still has a chance tomorrow. Don't let me down.

It doesn't seem like it to me. Vita TV is for Vita games, while Playstation TV seems to play PS4 games in another room... then again, I don't fully grasp the concept on either, so I might be wrong. That's just my understanding as of now ???
Title: Re: E3 Thread!

It's the same - they said it would play most Vita games in addition to allow you to stream PS4 games to a second TV in your house, play PS Now games, use video apps, etc. Pretty cool. :)
I think Sony knocked it out of the park - just an amazing lineup of games. Really looking forward to some more info on some of those exclusives, especially the new From Studios game. And to all the haters in the "indy bubble burst" thread: No Man's Sky. 8)

Overall, that Sony conference was great. It helped they had twice as much time as before I was commending Microsoft on a clean cut conference, but now they look just lazy next to Sony lol
They definitely sold me much more on the PS4, though I still have no plans to get one anytime soon.

I see, thanks Argyle! That's gonna make many people happy.
To me, Sony had the best conference today. It was pretty nice, and I'm glad we got to see Yoshida-san! He's a great guy.

Dear Sony,
Give me the last 2-hours of my life back. That was the most underwhelming, lackluster conference I have ever seen, ever! Showing a bunch of games we've known about for a long time already, revealing a bunch of mediocre new IPs, and oh dear god, the bit about PSN and PSTV was the most boring block of conference time I have ever seen at an E3 conference! Grim Fandango was the only thing that was remotely interesting, too bad they mentioned it for like 5-seconds and then moved on to another pile of steaming mediocrity. I thought I'd never say this, but this press conference actually makes the XB1 look like the more appealing system right now. I really hope Nintendo has something better in store tomorrow because I need something to wash this bad taste in my mouth away.

My friend's fiancé is ranting at how Sony didn't show any games, so you've got someone else on your side, bikingjahuty :P I still don't agree, but I figured you'd enjoy the support ;)
I felt like both Sony and MS showed about the same number of games, am I off?

I didn't watch the MS conference, only read the live blog (and I read most of that after it had been going a while, when I finally got to my office for lunch). It *seemed* that Sony showed more, but again, I can't say really because I didn't see the other one myself.
I can say that from what I read Sony showed more exclusives that interested me personally.

No, they showed about 20 games each, and tbh Microsoft's conference wasn't much better, but I did feel slightly more excited about Sunset Overdrive, Phantom Dust, and Tomb Raider (even though it is a multi-plat). I felt my interest spike briefly when they announced Grim Fandango, but the whole time I yearned for something more, hoping they'd announce something like The Last Guardian or some sort of surprise that caught everyone off guard. I suppose Uncharted 4 might have been that one thing for some, but it was never a series I was that into.
I am definitely not a Sony hater, the PS3 is my favorite 7th gen console, and the PS2 is my second favorite console of all time. I guess I just expected more from them, and they did not deliver anything that made me want to get a PS4, even going as far as to make the XB1 look more appealing (even though I still have no plans of buying that either). I am really hoping for some surprises tomorrow at Nintendo's conference and even a release date for X will make the conference worth while for me. I wish Sony would have delivered, but I guess I am in the minority along with your friend's fiance lol

I'm in the same boat as you, I just don't think Sony delivered. Playstation is definitely my go to system to play games on, but compared to their conference from last year, this one was just lackluster. Last year we had the whole "Here's the PS4!" hype which granted, you can't really follow with out some disappointment. But last year they revealed the Order 1866, Infamous, Kingdom Hearts III, Final Fantasy XV among others. All of those are really big name games. I felt that this year, nothing really was a game changer. Batman, Far Cry, Order 1866, Destiny, and Phantom Pain all look amazing, but those had already been announced. Littlebigplanet 3 and Uncharted 4 were awesome, but where was Sly Cooper or God of War? Plus there were way too many zombie games. And that whole thing about Playstation TV and the Power TV series about put me to sleep. That's something that will appeal to a someone more casual, not the people watching the conference. Those who watched the conference are gamers, who want to see games. At least that's what I wanted to see more of.
Oh well, come one Nintendo!

Woooooo Vita TV, yay. :D It'll be interesting to see how the release plays out, considering that it didn't do all that well in Japan. I figured we wouldn't even get the Vita TV over here. I'm not sure why they decided to change the name though. ???

Oh my gosh Nintendo just blew me away again. I'm just sad that it was so short, but at least they have a few other press conferences today! I'm on my way to pre-order too many games. Can't wait to get my hands on these Amiibo figures, I'm a sucker for props and these are gonna be awesome! The squid paint thing game looked pretty fun too. And I'm more excited than ever for Hyrule Warriors and Smash Bros!

I agree, Nintendo's press conference was pretty awesome. :D It's nice to see that the Amiibo will be compatible with the WiiU and the 3DS. It's also really cool that we'll be able to use Miis in Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo's show was good, but it lacked that real surprise that I was hoping for. Most of what we saw was stuff we knew about. While Splatoon looks fun, I was really hoping for something like Metroid or Fatal Frame. Nintendo has to win the support of more core gamers. What I saw today was mostly preaching to the choir. You're not going to move Wii U systems without stepping out of your comfort zone.
Cute paintball game, cute Yoshi game, cute Kirby game, cute Toad game. X and Bayonetta aren't enough to get the core crowd engaged. A new Starfox slipped through, but no footage of it yet. Hopefully they have more to show us.
That Zelda though. Wow, that looked absolutely gorgeous!

Some "good", "bad", & "meh" for me from Nintendo's showing:
Good: Xenoblade Chronicles X - My #1 most wanted Wii U game with a bullet, no question. Only disappointment is that I have to wait another year, but I'm at least glad they finally owned up to it being a Xenoblade follow-up (was fairly obvious anyway :P). Zelda! Looks amazing - love the style and very excited about the way he's saying the game will play so differently this time. May be the first time I get really hyped for a Zelda since Wind Waker. Yoshi's Wooly World - when I first heard about this (I read the live blog before I got to watch the stream) I was unsure, since I wasn't the biggest fan of Kirby's Epic Yarn - it was WAY too easy. But this game looks to have much more in common w/ Yoshi's Island. Bayonetta 2 - release date & announcement of original game as a pack-in. - Glad it's not far off now, and that's really cool of them to include the original. I still haven't played all the way through that game, and I expect this will be the definitive version. Hyrule Warriors release date - Very excited. Gonna have to make room in my Fall budget for this one, no doubt. :)
Meh: Smash Bros - ability to use Mii's. I've always thought Mii's look really dumb in actual games. Just does not interest me at all. Pokemon Sapphire / Ruby remakes - isn't EVERY Pokemon a remake? I don't see the point of this. Kirby & The Rainbow Curse - This might be ok, but I'd just rather have gotten a traditional Kirby game. Mario Maker - neat idea I guess, but not for me.
Bad: No Retro Studios - Boo. Boooo. >:( Splatoon - online shooter? No thank you. Jumping on the toy/DLC bandwagon - Ugh. These things are just expensive DLC. No interest whatsoever.
??: Captain Toad - I have no idea. None. ???
And I heard something about a new Starfox & that Devil's Third game, but I haven't seen anything on either so I have no comment yet.

Yeah it lacked the major surprises it probably needed, but I liked it. Only thing that bummed me was that Xenoblade Chronicles is coming out next year. Was hoping that would get out this year alongside Bayonetta 2. Super excited for a proper open world Zelda game though and the Hyrule Warriors looked really good. Very interested to see if they'll be showing off anything from the new Star Fox.
Devil's Third looks fun, a violent action shooter game and is Wii U Exclusive.

That's what I thought when I first heard about it, but actually looking into what info we have now it seems pretty fun since it actually isn't much of a shooter and more of a "cover everything in paint while sometimes turning into an octopus" game.

I'm not sure why they decided to change the name though. ???
My best guess?
*Looks at the "successful" (L.M.A.O.) marketing strategy of Nintendo's evolution of their 7th-gen console (the WII) to their 8th-gen console/add-on/accessory/whatever-the-Hell (WII-U)* :-[
I'm thrilled about us getting the VitaTV/PlaystationTV (and, like Greg, my understanding is that they are the same thing)...I'm actually even glad that I've been holding-off on un-boxing my OLED Vita (Why put mileage on mine when the girls' is always conveniently close & on:) & trying to clear-out some of my PS3 games before playing my Vita games, since my personal preference is to always go with a bigger HDTV screen (over a handheld-sized screen) + to always play my games w/ a DS3 and/or DS4 (over smaller handheld-sized buttons & controls).
Is it just me *OR* is anyone else noticing that there's more passive-aggressive FanBoy/Girl-ism showing-up in these E3 topics alone than what we normally see here in the whole rest of the (non-E3) year :o

I'll be sure to send you some PS4 and/or Vita screenshots of me playing Grim Fandango when the time comes ;)

Actually, Microsoft Showed 10 more games than Sony technically. However, E3 was kind of hurt by all the early reveals and leaks, but mostly the early reveals. Did not help that the MS conferences showed all the annual multiplats, the division, and all the indies that will be coming out for all consoles and PC except the Wii u.

Captain Toad is going to be a rehashing of the Captain Toad puzzles from Super Mario 3D World. More than likely it's going to be download title featuring deleted or unused Captain Toad puzzles that didn't fit into 3D World, plus new ones. The Captain Toad puzzles were really clever and cute in 3D World so I can't wait to see what they do for a standalone title.

Haha, I think that the "competitive" aspect of the news coverage can be contagious. I know I have a tendency to fall for it, but I'm trying hard not to, I promise :P
Also, when you prefer one company's work, I think it's normal that being already hyped to see more from them will naturally make you more enclined to like what they'll show, and the contrary is also true (not liking what a company you don't care for has to show).

*builds a shrine to GabeN, sacrifices livestock to get Microsoft games ported to PC
Seriously though, I hope Grim Fandango is the first of many older LucasArts games that are re-released on modern systems. Disney's sitting on a goldmine.
Also: Final Fantasy Type-0 announced. But not for PSP or Vita, but for the bone and PS4. And two days after the game's fan translation is released. I'm not gloating, THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A VITA VERSION.

I gotta say, I've been overall pretty happy about the show. No, I didn't get EVERY announcement I wanted - I never do :P - but I've seen a ton of newly announced games that I'm now anticipating as well as some new footage of already known games that has me even more excited (Batman...oh my, Batman! ;D). Don't worry you're not wrong just some people accepted mediocrity. Remember during the 6th generation (PS2, Xbox, GameCube) we had too many sport games and racing games. I thought that was bad because we needed more variety but things got worse in the 7th generation. Developers started giving us way too many 1st and 3rd person shooter games. Do we really need a new Call Of Duty game every year? Do we really need a new fifa and madden game every year? Do we really need a new need for speed game every year?
The answer to these are no we don’t, we need more variety. Luckily for us we are not getting as many sports and racing games. Some sports and racing franchises are dead now, or on hiatus. But we are still getting too many shooting games. The PS4 and Xbox One are not 2 months old yet and they already have a bunch of shooting games coming to them. The Wii U is 1-year-old and it already has 2 Mario games or 5 if you include new super luigi U, Doctor luigi and mario & sonic at the winter olympic Games. Mario needs a break, Nintendo needs to stop making Mario games for a while and bring back old IPs or create new ones. The Wonderful 101 is a great new IP but we need more. Mario makes too much money for Nintendo and shooting games are making too much money so they won’t stop giving us more of the same unless we stop buying the same type of games over and over again.
Those who started gaming this generation will probably disagree with the things I’ve stated. That’s understandable because you don’t know better, but old school gamers come from a time where everything was better and cheaper. Old school gamers who are happy with today’s gaming industry are those who are easily satisfied: ‘just give me my favorite games with great graphics and I’m happy.’ We have the power to make this generation great, but they won't do it and if we continue to do nothing then we will have another video game crash in the future. Remember that developers are nothing without our money, so please vote with your wallets.
I rest my case.

My friend's fiancé is ranting at how Sony didn't show any games, so you've got someone else on your side, bikingjahuty :P I still don't agree, but I figured you'd enjoy the support ;)
I felt like both Sony and MS showed about the same number of games, am I off?

Im not the biggest E3 fan in general, I wanted to see what Nintendo had though and oh man Im kind of disappointed, I really hope we see some Star Fox... I was really hoping for a new Metroid, whatever, the new actual Zelda game looks really neat but those damn "amiibo" figures really!? what in the world, I mean I'll get some and screw around with it, but goddamn we don't need those stupid things, obvious way to get parents to buy worthless crap for their kids. When are we going to get a solid game that utilizes the Wii U controller well? Star Fox or Metroid? well we're screwed there as got a while to wait. Come on Nintendo you've had enough time with this console for something that makes the controller better that it's competitors. Honestly, I am interested in Watch Dogs and bayonetta 2 but a lot of this other "fluff" I can do without

I'm watching the Nintendo showing right now. You're getting the play-by-play
I love the Robot Chicken intro.
I was already in on Smash Bros. Nothing new.
The Boy will want (and probably get) all the Amiibos. =Money Pit
I'm really looking forward to Captain Toad. I liked those parts of 3D World.
Yoshi Wooley World looks ok. I'm sure I'll end up with it.
This Zelda game is the first one I've been excited about... Ever
No one at my house cares about Pokemon.
Bayonetta looks like something my brother will get, but it may not be my cup of tea. But wait! You get both games. Bayonetta 1 and 2? I may give it a shot.
Hyrule Warriors. Yeah... I'm in. I've been in for a while. Do you think we could get Error and Bagu as playable characters? September 26th? I love a solid release date.
I can't decide if this is more Robot Chicken or a Kirby game. Nintendo, please stop with the yarn/clay/paper mâché. The hand drawn thing worked with Yoshi's Island, but stop. Make I look like a pretty, cartoony game.
More Xenoblade... I wish I had time for these games.
Mario Maker? This could be a lot of fun. I like that idea.
Splatoon... I don't know about this one. Kind of like DeBlob? Paint everything? This one seems like an idea someone almost had 2 generations ago. It's so weird, I can't decide if it's genius or stupid.
Pretty solid showing from Nintendo. They showed more that I was interested in, for sure.

I AM SO PISSED!!! I MISSED E3 BECAUSE OF A T.V. SCHEDULE SCREW-UP!!! IT ONLY HAPPENS ONCE A FREAKING YEAR!!!
I had my DVR set to record everything all day on Spike T.V. yesterday. Except it ONLY recorded the EA after-show commentary! Instead, my DVR recorded Walking Tall and a some stupid show about remodeling a bar. WTF?!
I don't even know who to be pissed at. I don't know if the cable-box screwed up, or if Spike T.V. messed up their programming schedule.
Yeah, I know, read the postings online. But I like the feel of watching it all on T.V. as it's happening.

I haven't watched it yet. I saw a clip. It doesn't really look like my style of game. I'm glad Nintendo made it. They need more games to fill that void.

Work is slow this week so I watched the live Spike TV feed all day on Monday during work and watched the Sony conference right when I got home. I'm the most excited for Bloodborne, but I think my favorite trailer of the show is the one for Dead Island 2. I could go on Thursday but won't. There's nothing I need to see first hand. Everything I liked is coming out in 2015.

As I anticipated, Nintendo blew me away today with their press conference!
I am beyond hyped for Xenoblade X and Zelda Wii U. I am in love with the idea of Zelda meets Elder Scrolls, which is how they presented the new Zelda more or less.
Aside from Nintendo's great press conference, I am really digging the gameplay EA has shown off for the new Dragon Age, the game looks amazing!

Is Someone Other Than Link In The New Zelda Trailer? (http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/06/11/e3-2014-the-legend-of-zelda-trailer-may-not-feature-link)
What?!
I'm for the capability of choosing between characters, similar to Grand Theft Auto V, but if Link isn't one of or the main character... NO!!!
Also, Captain Toad sounds interesting.

I think Pac-Man is a good start as he's a real classic like Mario or Mega Man and is more unconventional than say putting in someone from their fighting games. Actually was trying to remember what kind of characters Bandai would have and some seem maybe too on the nose to put in like Soul Calibur or Tekken guys. It would amuse me to see like Goku in it, but he wouldn't fit in very well I think...though that would get Goku into a good fighting game for once after years of floundering lol

Announcements I would like to hear but won't:
An HD sequel to Metriod Prime 3 An HD Battletoads game from wayforward done in the same style as Double Dragon Neon Ducktales 2 Remastered from wayforward A FF7 HD Remake. (Or FF7 Crisis Core) A FF9 HD Remake The Last Guardian
Announcements that are making me consider owning a Wii U:
Zelda Star Fox XenoBlade
Announcements that have still not convinced me to get a PS4 or XB1:
Pretty much everything Sony and MS said.
Not trying to be a hater, I am just not all that interested in the newest gen and the idea that I will be renting (streaming) all my games.
I like the convenience of digital but see the burn of having worthless bytes of data 10 years from now.
Meanwhile carts I got over 30 years ago continue to work to this day just like they did when I first played them.

Well, my take on E3 so far :
MK X - Top choice of the show so far. Im super excited for this.
Zelda Wii U - I am looking forward to this. It has the aspects that Zelda has been missing all these years.
Xenoblade Chronicles X - Along with the above title, this is going to be my main reasoning for picking up the Wii U.
Square Enix - No DQ. Screw off SE. Seriously. You are alienating a big part of your fan-base by excluding this series of games from this side of the world. The only thing that would save SE from being crossed off my list forever would be 1) DQX or DQVII 3DS stateside release in the near future or 2) A FFVII HD re-release. This is the game that put FF in the minds of more than just serious JRPG'ers and keeps being overlooked for spin-offs and other random junk.
Hyrule Warriors - Mildly interested in this. Hope it pans out to be as neat as it looks.
Metroid - I secretly was hoping to see a new 2D version of Metroid along the Super metroid lines more than anything else. Yet another series that has been tossed into the gutter for all this 3D/FP stuff. I boo in your direction on this Nintendo.

Wish I could do more. The metroid series was possibly my absolute favorite line of games when the NES/SNES/GB was still mostly current. Then Metroid Prime comes out with this stupid first person view of crap and changes the series forever into something less desirable. Change is not always wanted. Rosanne comes to mind! Becky wasnt the same and it caused the entire downfall of the show. :P Bring back my 2D Metroid!

I'm with ya. 100%. I thought Metroid Prime sucked. Now, I didn't play all the way through the game; but I did give it a fair shot. That series got redirected into such a different type of game. Drop me off, all alone on a infested planet. We don't need much story other than "Get the EFF off this rock!" Super Metriod is a thing of beauty. It's a masterpiece. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Give me more 2D Metroid, and throw in a 2D Kid Icarus while your at it.

By non interactive, I mean the game just appears to be an explore game. At least thats what the trailer looked like. You walk around on the planet and look at the animals/dinosaurs walking around. Nothing to do otherwise. I did see some space travel but didnt add much as far as Im concerned.

If it didnt have the word Metroid in the title, it wouldnt be any different of a game than it is right now. And thats what sucks. There is nothing defining the game as "Metroid".

Remember that developers are nothing without our money, so please vote with your wallets.
I rest my case & I state my opinions as facts
D'oh!
??? no pretty factual for most part. Noticed you didn't point anything out hmm.
Pffft!
Oh my - it would be much quicker & easier to try to isolate & point out any facts in here than it would be opinions :o
Funny thing is - I even agree with a lot of your opinions & what you're saying...I would just never presume to be so pompous to state all of my thoughts, likes, & dislikes as facts and/or to post/imply that my answers are the ("only"/"right") ones...
it's okay, though...just takes practice ;)
I don't mind if you think i'm wrong, or don't agree i'm really not above correction, but I would prefer you say what part you don't agree with instead of bombing me with ad hominem attacks you know. :D [/quote]
Attacking you?
I was (nicely) trying to make the point that stating your likes/dislikes, thoughts, and/or opinions like they're 'statistics' (or facts/generalizations)...instead of just sharing them & talking about things in a more open-minded/opinion-based kind of way could *NOT* be a bad thing.

Yet another series that has been tossed into the gutter for all this 3D/FP stuff. I boo in your direction on this Nintendo.
You boo, good sir? Such a strong response.
For what it's worth, Nintendo has one more unannounced 3DS game they'll be talking about tonight. Some people are thinking it's Metroid, but don't get your hopes up too much.

Yeah, it's definitely gonna be one of our new "thematic fights"! I used to do these all the time in Melee with my best friend. Like a Swordmen fight (Link, young Link, Marth and Roy), Pokémon fight, and so on. And there are so many new characters that it's going to give a lot of different match-ups, I think!

All this is making me want to fall in love with the Smash Bros. franchise. I have the 64 and Wii versions, just never really played smash bros. I'll have to start soon to catch up I guess.

We would do that too. My favorite is "Everyone pick Jigglypuff!", which creates a match where we might as well be fighting blindfolded, as most people don't know how to use Jiggly at all.
And hilarity ensues...

What about Metroid?!
Title: Re: E3 Thread!
Post by: Jakandsig on June 13, 2014, 08:59:58 am
It was replaced by Bayonetta and some paint shooting thing.
This is by far not my genre of music, but for some reason I keep thinking this whenever I read these 2 posts:
Nowdays everybody wanna talk like they got somethin' to say But nothin' comes out when they move their lips, just a bunch of paintball s*** And Nintendo act like they forgot about Metroid
:P

They confirmed one is in some stage of development, and have hinted that there might be both a FPS and 2D Metroid games in the pipe.
Metroid (and also Fatal Frame Wii U) was the one thing I was really hoping I'd see them reveal at E3, so I'm a little disappointed with Nintendo's presentation, especially considering most of what they showed was for 2015 releases. All that's on my radar for the rest of 2014 is Smash (if it hits before Xmas), Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta 2. Possibly Devil's Third and Watch Dogs, depending on how they turn out.

2D metroid is actually technically rumored and not so much confirmed.

This interview poasted yesterday (http://kotaku.com/nintendo-is-planning-a-future-for-both-2d-and-3d-metroi-1590142491) pretty much says they're looking into doing both in "the near future." Good news for everyone!
*Edited so it didn't link to a comment right off the bat.

They'll probably put the 2D game out on the 3DS instead of giving it a nice Wii U HD release, but I suppose that's better than nothing...

Hopefully we can get an actual Metroid game this time around instead of whatever Other M was. Blegh. It's already been more than 10 years since we've gotten a new 2-D metroid :(

At least we're getting a pretty sweet Samus figure thingy. I really want a HUGE 2D Metroid game on Wii U. Think Super Metroid X10. And bring back the Grappling Beam and X-Ray Scope too.

So that's actually worse because retro is confirmed working on one, so your basically saying 2D is not even in the works.

Here's that odd old school animated style game they showed in the indies presentation for Xbox. It looks to be Mega Man with the old cartoon style of the 30's. Now this is a cool style to go with and a way to stand out amid all the indie games out there right now lol

I've been following this game for a while now, I love the style. A shame they had to go the Xbone route tho - oh well.

It's possible if it does well, they'll do a port to PS4 or maybe even Wii U. At least it's on PC which is great.

That's a PC release for me, so it doesn't count towards it lol Right now there's still very little reason for me to get a PS4, even with E3 just having passed. This year, there's games I'd rather play on them than on the older systems, MGSV and Destiny, but I can play them on PS3, so I probably will. The end of next year could get me interested in a PS4, but so far, not much going for it.
Of which I just realized that was not a 2014 release for MGSV, but 2015. There's goes that.

My thoughts on E3 2014 after a few days of thought in a Nutshell
First off and I know several people have said it but, this E3 seemed like a giant trailer for Next year's E3 Microsoft- Better than last years, but then again they could have just gone on staged, farted, left and still have been better than last year. that being said Phantom Dust, Project Spark, Sunset Overdrive, Scalebound, and Ori and the Blind forest have peeked my interest, deliver on those games and I'll most likely buy and Xbox one
EA and Ubisoft- EA I feel asleep only to wake up for Mirrors Edge and fall back asleep, Ubisoft I honestly stopped watching and just played Mario Kart 8 on the gamepad having that as backround noise. seriously why do these two companies have conferences if most of the stuff is just going to be shown at Microsoft and Sony's conference
Sony- I find myself getting less interested in the Order 1868 the more I see of it. inFAMOUS Second Son: First Light DLC I think this is a good Idea, outside of that the Grim Fandango Remaster and Let it Die are the only games that have stuck with me from this conference and that's mostly because Tim and SUDA are my Favorite Developers. I am most likely going to get a Playstation TV to play Vita Games, Don't care about Playstation Now and Yay Ratchet and Clank Movie.
Nintendo- compared to everything else this was a Falcon Punch to the Face. I'm probably going to get all the games they showed off and I thought it was great how they didn't announce everything at once giving you something to look forward to each day and I loved the Robot Chicken sketches they had in the Digital Eventand Goddamnit we need a Smash Brothers anime Series NOW. my only real complaint is a nickpick that Pacman is in Smash...sorry I was in the Lloyd Irving for smash camp. call me Bias if you must but Nintendo was the best this Year, Oh and they actually have games coming out this year
other games that I Know were at E3 I know I'm going to get Rise of the Tomb Raider Persona Q Guilty Gear Xrd

I came up with the idea of a retail game staring Toad months ago, and what do you know? You're welcome. I guess I should share credit with Kamikaze. Actually pretty excited for it. That's like the highlight of E3 for me.
People don't care about Mario, they buy the games for Toad! :P
Did you hear? That Toad explorer minigame that was in the 3D Mario games? Apparently it was so well received, they are gonna do more with him! SO MUCH HYPE!
:D
For real, that guy is underrated. He deserves his own chance in the spotlight, not to be some afterthought in the script of that narcissistic plumber. Toad Adventures U, I'm calling it right now. That just might move some consoles.
