People were still posting in the November pickups thread, so I figured I'd start this month's thread since nobody else has yet.
I'm going to start the thread with a really lame post. :P I bought Dynasty Warriors 2 for the PS2 for $6.

Allright... today was a pretty good day for my shop, but I also found two boxes full of old PC games. None were boxed, so I left behind several... but managed to grab some interesting things, anyhoo.

The PS1 game was found at a booth with tons and tons of CDs. This was the only PS1 game, though. SpyHunter and both Postal 2s were bought as part of a lot that cost me $10 which included some stuff for reselling. I wasn't going to buy them until I saw the inside...

I didn't mean to say Dynasty Warriors 2 was lame, I just meant to say it was a rather uneventful start to a new month's pickups thread. One PS2 game for $6 isn't a super exciting way to start the thread. :P
I'm looking forward to playing it. :) I've got a few games in the Warriors series so far, but Dynasty Warriors Gundam is the only one I've actually gotten around to playing.

I have the Dynasty Warriors Gundam games, but have only played 3 for more than an hour. Pretty fun so far. I also have Hyrule Warriors and from what I've played it is very fun :)

Today was decent for me. I hit up a pawn store and found DKC Tropical Freeze and Super Luigi U for $10 each (they were marked as Wii games). Then I get home and my SS gift was here as well as my copy of Class of Heroes 2G. :)

I want to pick up the NES Remix Pack myself. I'm curious if my save from the digital version will work with it. I've only played some of the 1st one, and if it doesn't work I'll just play the digital version, but it'd be nice if they were compatible.

Link Between Worlds is really good. It's system-purchase worthy.
I don't have a Wii U yet, unfortunately. But I REALLY want to play NES Remix. I've been contemplating selling my N64 and Saturn collections to cover the cost, because to tell the truth, those two console collect the most dust in my collection.

So even though I already have the Target exclusive Steel Book Edition of Tomb Raider I found a deal on the collectors edition I could not pass up ($20). So now I have both.

I agree with that especially with the price bs during the first year of its release, where they jacked up the price elsewhere by limiting copies and making a second batch later on. I got a bit lucky on this as most of the Gamestop stores near me only had 1 pre-owned copy( near a few new copies) which were either sold out or missing the original case and manual, but an employee directed me to another one of their stores that had 3 complete copies, so I put a copy on hold, raced over there and got it.
It's still goes around $75 on amazon and ebay for a complete copy, so I'm guessing it may be pretty hard to find in places that don't have many Gamestops, or have one at all. I wish they could have made this available to all retailers to make it easier for consumers to get the game. If the new 3DS port of Xenoblade comes to the US, it may affect the price of the original game, but knowing how things will probably play out, I think this original Wii version is going to continue to increase in value and be the more desireable version to play.

Somehow a local indi-game shop near me got about 5 copies in when it launched and I was luckily able to buy mine at retail from there. I agree though, it's crap that Gamestop still have exclusive rights to this game, especially since its sequel is being toted as one of the best RPGs of 2015.

Those shelves look nice! Looking forward to seeing the room when it is all done. Love the silver Odyssey 2 Controllers too, I need to get a pair for my Odyssey 2. I guess that the black controller models are not actually hardwired, the port is just on the inside.

Christmas came early today. As I was looking through some old boxes I found a Pokemon Emerald box in near perfect condition. It has the manual and all the flyers inside. I didn't even know I still had this. It's ironic because I traded in the original cartridge years ago. Now I don't know whether to sell it or find a copy of the cart.

Nice, I'd say you keep it until you run across another Emerald. Pokemon always hold their value and its 3rd gen. Keep it for trade fodder.

I saw the back cover of this at a booth and thought "Hey, I didn't know they put out the Metal Gear Solid 2 comic in trade paperback!" I grabbed it and it's the novelization. Weird. I wonder just how much got changed from the game itself. $2.
I also... got one of these. (http://www.ebay.com/itm/171540374259) It's an "Electronic Arts 20th Anniversary" crystal light thingy. It's complete in box, but the bottom of the box has water damage. I think I'm gonna trade this away if anyone's interested.

Wow, that's even better, considering some of the other games included. The complete DDR MM is awesome, considering those are pretty hard to find complete without spending about $45 or higher, so you got a fantastic deal for all of those games, especially if they are all cib! I'm hoping to pick up mario mix at a later date for my gamecube collection as well hopefully.

The complete DDR MM is awesome, considering those are pretty hard to find complete without spending about $45 or higher, so you got a fantastic deal for all of those games, especially if they are all cib! I'm hoping to pick up mario mix at a later date for my gamecube collection as well hopefully.

Kmart was having deals galore on games, many newer games priced under $10. I missed out on much of it but still go some deals. I wish I could have gotten a Castlevania 2 for (ps3/XB360) for $5 :o

Christmas came early today. As I was looking through some old boxes I found a Pokemon Emerald box in near perfect condition. It has the manual and all the flyers inside. I didn't even know I still had this. It's ironic because I traded in the original cartridge years ago. Now I don't know whether to sell it or find a copy of the cart.

Nice, I'd say you keep it until you run across another Emerald. Pokemon always hold their value and its 3rd gen. Keep it for trade fodder.

Such and underrated game. It is different than the normal on-rails shooterish nature of the series. But the graphics look great and the gameplay is a blast! Free-roaming flying, and on-foot missions (involving guns, vehicles, and mission objectives, none of the Star Fox Adventures stuff).

The Phantasy Star games were about $30+ each from the store I bought them from. Not to expensive but not a deal to brag about. The WWF game was cheap though. Super Ghouls N Ghosts was $13 and that's not bad. Kind of surprised it cost that much considering what a lot of old Capcom games are going for. Not that I'm complaining.
The other Nintendo games were each ten dollars and under.

Finally! I just got my Class of Heroes 2G! :D I can't wait to play it this week-end. I'm a bit disappointed by a small detail though, didn't they say that there would be a holographic sticker on the game with number X of Y total? :-\
Anyway, it's really a detail, and I'm pretty happy to have it in my hands now.

Went into my favorite game store today and some guy was trading in a bunch of stuff along with a CIB copy of Steel Battalion for the original XBOX. As soon as the guy got his money and left, I asked the person at the counter, who also happens to be the owner of the game store how much he was going to charge for it. He told me to make an offer on it, which I did. I offered him $50 and he took it! Oh no, he wasn't finished though!
They had ANOTHER almost CIB Steel Battalion in the back of the store that was only missing the foot pedals and asked if I wanted it. At first I thought he was asking if I wanted to buy that one too, but I still expressed interest. He then said I could have it! No extra charge!
So I picked up two Steel Battalions, one complete, the other almost complete for only $50! I am still on a high from this pickup. I've wanted one of these for such a long time, didn't realize I'd end up getting two the same day :p

I haven't decided whether or not I'll be keeping it (it would be awesome to do two player locally with this thing after getting a foo pedal for the second controller). But if I did sell it, it would have to be locally just due to the sheer size and weight of this thing. It gives me anxiety even thinking how much this thing would cost to ship lol

I didn't really want it for my collection so I gave it to a fellow local collecting buddy. Also bought a Sears Telegames Pinball/Breakaway on ebay for $20 (which you can kind of see behind the super scope) and finally a copy of Star Trek TNG Final Unity for DOS PC's.

Love Mega Man 5! Most underrated game in the series! I hear people talk all the time about how the series was stale by that point. But the level design in that game is simply superb! You can't tell me that Wave Man or Star Man's levels aren't memorable.

Picked up a sealed Wonderbook: Book of Spells from GS on my lunchbreak. :P It was new but had been converted to preowned, so it only cost me $4.50 after my discount. Figure for that price it was worth getting just to mess around with, plus it's an oddity of sorts for my PS3 collection.

If you like Harry Potter a lot, it's definitely cool! I got it off Amazon last year for $5 and I definitely don't regret. It's a cool thing to own for an HP fan, though it's not really a game.

I really liked the SNES entries in the series, never played past them, though. So this will be a first play for me on this game. Looking forward to it getting here.
My only concern is the PS1 load-times with every random-encounter. Because the SNES entries in the series had a crap-load of random-encounters. I'm hoping it isn't as often with this entry.

In the last couple of days I picked up a CIB Radio Shack TV Scoreboard pong system for $25. Two loose C64 carts - Jumpman Junior and Solar Fox for $5 each and today got a sealed copy of Stunt Driver (DOS PC) from ebay in the mail. My favorite old school racing game. Love it.

Finally picked up Time Crisis 3. I say finally because I am a huge light gun game fan but I've never played a single Time Crisis game.
Lastly I got Twisted complete in the long box for free. Which is good because my other disc only copy is destroyed!

A big thank you goes to Soera for these, Seora sent me a link for a craigslist ad for a large lot of Neo Geo MVS carts for $10 each and soera was awesome enough to get a deal on the whole lot and ship me 8 of the 9 carts in the deal (he kept Samurai Shodown) so I got these 8 carts for $70 plus shipping. There was 15 carts originally but someone else bought 6 of them. Only one I know I missed out on was King of Monsters the 2 others I saw posted I already owned, But I still wonder what I missed. here's what I got.

Nothing to exciting, but for about $10 each I can't go wrong. Best part there was 2 carts the seller did not know what they where, one was in Japanese and the other had a worn label that couldn't be read.
I figured these would be ones I had or very common carts like Fatal Fury 2, Samurai Shodown 2, World Heroes 1 or 2, a second Top Players Golf or some other common cart. Figured wth, it will be fun to see what they are. Seora sent them and I payed him the money plus shipping and after cleaning them all up I tested the unknown carts. and the Japanese one was...

I've played it before (friends houses growing up and what not), and I enjoyed it. But I've recently been playing the heck out of Ultimate NES Remix on 3DS, which has reminded me what a good game it is.

So one of my usual CD / DVD sources brought three big bins full of stuff, so I spent a while digging through and found these. Some resellers wiped the bin clean out of all Gamecube and Wii games, bleh... anyway. I wasn't planning on picking up that PC game but it was two bucks, complete in box, and it has a soundtrack CD so why not. Band Hero is the last "Hero" PS2 game I was missing... I think. And Ico, well, it's Ico. :p
The PlayStation component cable is one of those made for the PS2, but it works on all consoles. I plan to use it for... stuff in the near future. Provided I can find a cheap capture device.

I picked up my factory fresh Calling for Wii today, I need some resealable baggies, this is one too mint for oily hands. The manual still has that smell. The guy at GS didn't seem to know about the reprint but was baffled to even see the game because he had never heard of it before, and he agreed that it appeared to be brand new.... now, if they'd just reprint Ju-On, and maybe Arc Rise Fantasia, that would be pretty cool. I don't really get game publishers - why do they need begging? If there's still money in it, why not print more? Movie publishers do it.
Also got Croc 2 free with some trade fodder.

Oddly, Metal Gear Rising is a game I've come to like more and more over time. First time I played it I like everything except for certain parts that required the slow-mo blade slashing parts, but now I love it all :p

I'm a liar. :( Found out today that Target is having a big clearance sale on older games, they're all 50% off. The prices aren't marked, but my store had them all pulled & in one spot, so I just took the ones I was interested in to the price scanner & checked them like that. I got:
