Getting tougher to find physical PC games these days and while normally I'm fine with digital versions, there are games I would like to have physical, even if they have no disc or the disc is superfluous, as it is here with Wolfenstein 2, being that I can just input the steam code from inside and not bother with the disk.  I couldn't even pick this up AT Best Buy, I had to order online, but I'll keep trying to get physical versions until I can't.  Interestingly, this actually came with a double-sided cover on it.  I've never seen that with PC games before.  Sure, it's basically gonna just be what they have for the console version I assume, but that they added it shows that they still care abit about their physical editions.

I went hunting for my SS's gifts.  I found nothing on their wishlist, but I wound up buying some stuff for myself

NBA Live 2000 (N64)
NBA In The Zone 99 (N64)
Bottom of the 9th (N64)
Wolfenstein (360)
Amazing Spider-man vs. Kingpin (SCD)

also a manual for Obscure (PS2), maybe I'll find it cheap missing the manual and piece it together.

A pretty interesting last find

Some time ago i offered the guy 17 euro's shipped he accepted so I did not give him a higher offer, unfortunately some guy offered a very high amount wich I was not willing to pay, I was cool about it and said if the other seller ever backs out I offer 50 euro's shipped.

Quite Some time later the guy did back out and i got this nice piece of cardboard for 50 euro's shipped

There were more higher offers by other people even when the guy backed out but the seller felt bad that he didn't sell it to me in the first place quite some luck i guess depending on how you look about it since I'm pretty sure many would not spend money on cardboard. it might just be cardboard but at the very least it is a very nice looking piece of cardboard  ;D

A pretty cool promo sign double sided, not a fan of sonic but this game is quite excellent will most definitely be a nice display piece with my megadrive collection very pleased.

I FINALLY got Skullgirls in the mail from LRG after about a year I believe. Lunar guide was a thrift store find for $5, and DKC2, Quake 3, and Xavious were from a local swap meet of collectors.

Finds from last month:

Amazon:
Shantae :Half-Genie Hero Risky Beats Edition ( new, Wii U)- free after promo codes
Columns ( CIB, Genesis) -$3.50

Ebay:
Sonic Gems Collection ( GC, CIB) -$17.88
Oopona (Wii,CIB) -$20

Gamestop:
Steamworld Collection (Wii U, CIB)- $13.49
Wasteland 2: Directors Cut ( PC, CIB) $0.97

Gameplay
Ridge Racer Type 4 (CIB, PS1) -$2.95

Most of my finds this month were non-gaming related, as a number of deals just fell through, including GS retro stuff in store not matching online prices which was a major bummer. Thrift stores have been incredibly dry this last month, while GW's near me raise all game prices to $6 each.....smh

Pretty envious of you guys in the US plenty of strategy guides there in comparison to europe and allot cheaper. Let alone the working designs ones wich aren't to hard to find in the USA pretty much impossible in europe.

Very nice add, them working designs guides look pretty nice.

They aren't that common over here either. Lunar is probably the most common one, but this is actually the first one I ever found in the wild, at least for under $20. I also found a Alundra guide for a few bucks several months ago, but other than that I've only seen Working Design game guides at game stores a handful of times. It just really depends on the players guide really.

Strategy guides are allot more common in the USA I'm pretty sure of that even N64 and snes era ones etc.

Good guides of rpg's and mario games that sell for like 10 20 $ in the US sell for double that or sometimes more since the availability is very limited in europa, not to mention that if you look in the US for allot of guides the availability is plenty instead of none or a few.  there are ofcourse more expensive guides wich are even more rare in europe.

There are exceptions but not many, in general there is no comparison in terms of availability in europe vs the USA. Common in comparison not easy to find for a cheap price unless there are sellers who sell it for less than 10$ online wich I have seen plenty for the older mario strategy guides but even ps1 ps2 rpg's just to name some examples.

It took me like 5-years to track down a Xenogears guide. It really depends on the specific guide and unless you are willing to splurge on ebay or amazon, you may have to wait a while until you run across a specific guide you're after.

That's pretty much for everything at least in this hobby that is.

Allot guides of old games can be pricy, and yes without ebay or amazon they aren't common far from it and it will take a while to get them.

Picked up my 3rd bigbox of Star Command: Revolution, second one new/sealed.  This one was only $12.  I've been watching this specific item for what seems like a couple years.  I finally offered a reasonable amount and he took it.  :D  Love this game.  Now if only I can locate the Gold edition...

Just think about it this way

It's 5 - 15 $ or sometimes even more each, you can barely do anything with them and to top it off they take up allot of space, not to mention there are far to many versions if you would go for entire sets.

as far as extra content goes amiibo cards are way cheaper not to mention there are even other non legit ways to get to the content if you need it that badly.

It's kinda ridiculous really, how much money one would need spend if you would get all the content in for example breath of the wild, no thank you  ;)

Amiibo are a different beast of collecting compared to games in my opinion. It's more just to collect than play.

I mostly only buy them for games I really like and I haven't bought any since Splatoon 2 and most of what I own is Zelda and about a half dozen Smash Bros ones that aren't Nintendo properties.  There's a chance I'll grab the new Shovel Knight ones, whenever they come out, as I like being supportive of that game, but that's about it.  It's mostly just Zelda.

It's nice merchandice don't get me wrong.

Obviously I had to get my favourite smash bros characters and I got suckered into those wooly yoshi ones so I ended up with around 10 amiibo.

I would personally only recommend to get your favourite characters or series. Complete sets with these kinds of things seem to be kinda ridiculous not to mention even though they are easy to get also pricy thanks to the massive amounts and different sets.

I've always wondered what all the fuss was about Undertale. I've seen gameplay of it and at least from what I've seen it doesn't look special at all. Despite my curiosity towards the game, I am at the same time reluctant to try it since those who praise it act like it is the second coming of Christ; it all really reminds me of the hype around Earthbound which is also over inflated imo. Regardless, I do plan on playing it some day although it will likely be the digital route once I can but it on Steam for a few bucks.

It's a very interesting game, I personally find that the story and presentation has a bit to much modern day twists humor and internet memes but I can see why many people like it.

The 8 bit music and visuals are very nice, gameplay also very good not to mention the characters and story wich are the strongest points. A very strange game and most definitely not for everyone.

Has been out for quite some time now, you could find a free download file of the full game online pretty easily if you want to try it out.

Some pretty okay weeks, some pretty nice adds though

some mediocre deals

floating runner ps1 cib for 15 euro's shipped

a sound of thunder gba cib 11 euro's shipped

Random deal for free

all cib in nice shape

metal gear solid snake eater guide
battle clash snes
advanced dungeons dragon commodore, box art looks nice and fully complete with extra paper work etc

A very solid ds deal for free all cib in nice shape

bubble bobble
glory of herakles
izuna

these were factory sealed

megaman battle network 5
vieuwtiful joe
dragon quest IX
naruto ninja counsil 3

A cheap cib sega saturn lot wich added these for free. not complaining pretty stoked

bug
battle monsters

free psp and ps1 deals all cib

dragonball tag force
KKND crossfire
Hercules  :D had some good memories of this movie and game, love the voice acting in the game, never came across a excellent shape black lable copy for some reason but finally have one

A game gear deal all cib in excellent shape for 45 euro's shipped

not the best price but finding cib game gear games in very nice shape with straight sides is pretty hard, supply seems even more limited than cib nintendo let alone good games, unfortunately nothing to recoup the costs unless you could count 2 loose sonic carts to have some value. Yea right loose game gear games are pretty wortheless unless you have powerstrike etc.

less than 10 euro's a piece is a winn for me nonetheless with an extra accesoire to topp it off

very pleased to finally add some excellent cib condition game gear games, already have a console and some losse games and even an everdrive but not really something for the collection.  ;D

sonic 2
robocop vs terminator
wonderboy
shinobi
shinobi II
super widegear in plastic baggie and the manual paper

Than my favourite deal of these past few weeks, a very cheap ps1 deal with a loss of 10 euro's shipped in very nice cib shape.

It took me over 3 years to finally aquire one, I would have guessed to have had it sooner since I have aquired most expensive mainstream games for the ps1 for bargain prices multiple times by now and even in recent times. I remember back in the day I could have bought one for 35 euro's shipped but that's a but to pricy not to mention it should be easy to find, a uk one would be 50 on ebay. was kinda wrong pretty much never saw it in lots, nowadays It's like 90 - 100 euro's not to mention the dutch copy might even surpass the UK one in value lol. What can I say the castlevania hype in my country is to real I guess

Didn't expect to get this deal but luckily I did to finally add a copy off

Castlevania chronicles   ;D

The arranged mode has a few horrible tracks however you also have acces to the original sharp XS 68000 version not to mention all the 3 sound modules like the original. Wich are even usuable on the arranged mode, pretty uncommon to have such options in arcade games, pretty awesome though.

Also pretty nice grapics for a 2D traditional castlevania game.

Pretty pleased to finally add my most wanted ps1 game, It's pretty funny that I aquired both Symphony of the night ones with ease though, well I guess I should call it good luck since those are allot harder to get and more hyped since not only is it a castlevania branded game but one of the best while chronicles is usually added because It's a castlevania game and not a very high rated one at that.

Hopefully you didn't pay more than $10 for the Last of Us Remastered as that's what GS is going to be selling it for on Black Friday. I have to imagine EB up in Mooseland would have a similarly priced ad.

Anywho...If anyone is looking to build up their Skylander figure collection that's pre-Imaginators then you'd best get your hind end to Toys R Us. My local store went and marked down all pre-Imaginators to no more than $3-4 a figure and on top of that they're Buy One Get FOUR Free.  ;D I helped my cousin fill his collection out quite a bit. I want to say I had 35 different figures along with two sets and a starter pack and the whole thing ran me $26 and some change.  :o

At any rate, I don't know if other locations slashed prices on them but they all should at least be B1G4F nationwide.

I paid $20 for it. Looking up the black friday flyer for EB Games, says it would be on sale for $15. Not a big deal to me, and I don't think I would have had any time to go in on that day anyway. I'll be working most of the day.

or the prices were that good + that the games have a nice resale value on the black market in other words bought up at the very beginning and probably not that many copies around in the stores.

I realized that I ended up with essentially the greatest hits print of Horizon Zero Dawn, so I'm getting rid of mine. It doesn't say greatest hits, but it's got all of the critical scores written across the front like 10/10 greatest game EVAR. I hate when they put that crap on the cover.

Dead Space 3

I also got two Mc Donald's Sonic LCD Console from a friend, a huge Mario plushie (found on sale for 4.99€), the PS1 Virtual Gun (from Big Ben Interactive) used but still in the box (in probably the last flea market of the year in my area) and three movies to continue my Video Game movie collection: eXistenZ, Tekken 2 and Autoroute Racer (it's the French version of Autobahn Raser, a German movie based on the series of the same name).

A video game shop finally called me back to get the standee i reserved ten months ago, it's an Horizon Zero Dawn standee and that thing is pretty tall (185 cm - 6'1 ft).

And this morning i found another offer on facebook, someone was selling a lot of boxed MAC games and finally at his home he had a few other things to sell (big box of Windows, Amiga and Atari games), after a bit of talking i got the whole lot for 35€. Every boxes have their games inside but not all are cib (i'm missing a few manuals and some others things like the badge that comes with Hook).

Hook

And for free with it he even give me a Continental Edison Pong console 8) (i missing the cable to connect it to the TV though and it need a lot of cleaning, that thing is so dusty...) and a huge lot of manuals and covers (for computer and consoles).

- Galaxian

Amiibo
I was at my local Toys R Us and saw a Wind Waker Link 25th Anniversary amiibo, I first think nothing of it thinking I had it but then stopped and took another look, it's in a single card? It was in a 2-Pack (with zelda) in the US.  :o

- Revali - Zelda BotW
- Daruk - Zelda BotW
- Urbosa - Zelda BotW
- Mipha - Zelda BotW

Switch
- Retro City Rampage DX - Collector's Edition

XBone
I had to get this.  :P
- Microsoft Xbox One X - Scorpio Edition
I personally don't have a 4K TV (yet) but it still looks better then the regular Xbox One, I love how games load up a quicker. Also haven't seen any loss in frame rate when a lot of crap is going on.
- XBox One Controller - Volcano Shadow

- Quantum Break (BF deal for $10)
- Killer Instinct Definitive Edition (BF deal for $10)

NDS
- GG Series Collection [JP]
- Jewel Master: Cradle of Persia [EU] (found this brand new at a used book store for $4)
- Starfox Command [EU] (again found this this for real cheap)

Loopy
Got a deal on 2 loose Loopy games. Think I'm missing 4 games for a complete collection now. lol
- Loopy Town no O-heya ga Hoshii
- PC Collection

GG
- Dragon Crystal

GG/GBC
- Montezuma's Return
- Castlevania Legends
My local used game store got this in for about half of what it goes for on Ebay.

SFAM

After I bought the other 3 "Adult" Japanese games I wanted the first one just to complete the series. It finally showed up on Ebay and the seller was willing to cut me a deal. The back cover was so WTF. lol

I bought the ESRB [NA] version directly from Amazon.com and they sent me an EU version.  Roll your eyes, complain, I don't care.  I did not receive what I ordered and I have no interest in having my Switch collection with games from multiple regions if I don't have to.  The "fun" statement is the fact that I get to go through the return and replace process to get what I ordered.

Actually for once, the process seems to be moderately painless.

They shipped out a replacement right away.  I just need to ship back the PEGI copy, which I already sent out.

Tiny Arcade
Finally found the other 2 I was missing. These tiny arcades are so cute and awesome.
- Pac-Man
- Galaxian

I've seen these in Cracker Barrel and I would love to have them but $20 apiece is pretty steep to me. I might bite the bullet and pick up the Pac-Man/Ms. Pac-Man ones for my display cabinet but I would love to have them all. There's 4 of them total right? Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaxian & Centipede?

Amiibo
I was at my local Toys R Us and saw a Wind Waker Link 25th Anniversary amiibo, I first think nothing of it thinking I had it but then stopped and took another look, it's in a single card? It was in a 2-Pack (with zelda) in the US.  :o
- Wind Waker Link - 25th Anniversary (single card version

I saw those at Toys R Us on Saturday and had to do a double take. I wondered why they just released him by himself and not Zelda as well separate. For a minute I thought I was going to lock down the Skyward Sword Link but alas Nintendo thought it was a good idea to break the set up (yet not release the other figure from said set). One of these days they'll remove the timed release from Amazon on the Skyward Sword amiibo and maybe, just MAYBE reprint it along with that damn Bokoblin.  :P

Speaking of Toys R Us, we were able to hit pay dirt at one location that had like 15 packs of Animal Crossing amiibo cards from Series 3. I scored 8 of them while my cousin got the other 7 plus one of the physical AC amiibo figures he was missing (Blathers I think?). I wish I knew earlier that they were B1G3F along with the AC physical amiibo as the store nearest to me had a TON of series 1-4 on the shelf.  :-\

Oh well...at least I was able to lock down a copies for Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright, Dragon Quest VII and VIII for $12-14 each.  ;D

Though I did read somewhere there might be 3 more coming out later.
I can see Centipede Being one for sure. Though would be cooler if it used a tiny track ball. lol

Have the GU games dropped in price a lot since the release of the PS4 compilation set? I've always wanted that GU Collectors edition with the figure, but have yet to even see it in person anywhere.

I highly doubt it the CE is allot more harder to find than the normal game It's purely for collectors.

This isn't the same thing like marvel vs capcom 2 where the majority actually bought the game for It's gameplay/ tournaments instead for being collectors wich made the game sky rocket in price before it was available online for cheap.

Many of those over inflated prices are not from collectors but mainly thanks to the players. many examples. Why is smash bros melee in the US so high these days? Thanks to the players not collectors very big tournament scene these days, last big 1st prize money was 30K It's growing even the last place losers were compensated with at least 1K in prize money for their time  :o this was a select tournament of 20 of the best people but still also many normal bigger tournaments have far beyond 10K + 1st prize money 2 and 3rd also pretty nice pay outs. . People need game they need spare copies also gamecube controllers same thing.

Than again many proffesionalls are getting sponsored to make living out of it so yea not that big of a deal to them or the fans in general.

If it did drop in price I'm pretty sure that the reason would be different than thanks to the new released ps4 game.

Not buying many new games in order to save up for my other hobby but I did buy this on Amazon on a whim since I need an RPG to play.  Almost bought it for the PS4 but decided on XBOX One since I like that system more.  I'll eventually get it on PS4 I think so no worries.

Thank you for posting this! I didn't even know this existed. This is going to be #1 on my Christmas wishlist!

Visited Northgate in Seattle and picked up a few things.
Went to the mall there and met up with a friend who sold me the Wii Fit trainer amiibo...for $15! No joke. He gave me a great deal on it, considering how much that one goes for.
After which I checked out Gamestop and pick-up Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero(Risky Beat's Edition) For Wii U and Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 for Wii. Then I went over to Game Over Video Games, also in the mall, and got Road Rash II(original release) for Genesis and Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max for PSP. Afterwards, I stopped by Best Buy and grabbed Odyssey Mario and Bowser amiibos.
Then I came home to find my package waiting for me. A lot of Wrestling Game manuals and WWF Steele Cage Challenge for Game Gear.

They shipped out a replacement right away.  I just need to ship back the PEGI copy, which I already sent out.
Received my replacement yesterday, ESRB as should have been in the first place.  It appears the ESRB version comes with added content, haven't opened it, so I don't know if it is a download code.

So my BF purchases

Mario + Rabbids (NS)
Yakuza 0 (PS4)
Nioh (PS4)
Wolfenstein II (X1)
The Surge (X1)
Deadpool (PS4)
Super Lucky's Tale (X1)
Heimdall (SCD)
Axiom Verge (NS)

I also hit a retro game store and bought a stack of stuff, but I haven't processed it quite yet.

Finally caved and bought Shadow Tower CIB and I bought Heimdall for SCD.  Got both for half retail after coupons and stuff.

I also went a little crazy on Gamestop's Clearance sale

Bought Jessica Jones as Jewel statue, Black Widow from Captain America: Winter Soldier statue, Gwenpool statue, Spider-gwen statue, Deadpool coloring book, some gifts for other folks, tons of Pokemon TCG stuff at like 80% off + got the Ash's Pikachu pack, the PowerA PSVR stand and controller charging set.
