I assume this is the November recently purchased thread?

I already know I will be adding Shovel Knight, Black Ops 3, Battlefront, Game of Thrones and Fallout 4 to the collection!

The only person in my family who would buy games/stuff for me would be my wife and she only gets things that I specifically ask for.

ikr? The bf keeps buying stuff for himself, and I told him that he needs to stop or he'll make it torture for folks trying to buy for him (namely me).

That is the one nice thing about not having anyone close to me (family, GF) be into this hobby; I never even ask for video games from them. I'd rather just buy everything for myself haha

Initially I had only grabbed crazy taxi and midway classics, but the guy was like I really just need to get rid of them, offered to take the rest for dirt cheap a game and he was like yeah, but you have to take them all.  It's not often I see DC games, so when I can get them for a good price it's fantastic.  Plus if those top row of games weren't on my wishlist, they should've because I know I've been wanting those three.

Not that it's worth anything, but the Web Browser disc is sealed.  I really didn't want it, but it turns out that I don't have v1 of the web browser, so it's cool.

Two items came in yesterday.

Swag/Soundtracks/Signs

PlayStation U R NOT e soundtrack CD.  It's a soundtrack of skater tunes, officially licensed by Sony with cool cover art.  I've never seen one before and found it on eBay.  Did a little research and apparently it was released by Westwood One studios.

"WARNING Do Not Screw With My PlayStation" tin sign.  It's 12 x 18, high quality with that rusted look.  Very nice!

It was a Call of Duty night last night!

Call of Duty Black Ops III for PS4 new/sealed
DualShock 4 Call of Duty Black Ops III version new/sealed
Call of Duty Black Ops III Challenge Coin new/sealed
Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies promo poster

I actually wanted a Hardened Edition with the steelbook case, but they only had enough for preorders and I missed the preorder window for this edition.   :'(  The manager told me to call them back this afternoon and see if anyone cancelled as four copies were just the minimum down payment and people always end up cancelling and/or just not picking the game up.  Keeping my fingers crossed to score the nice metal case version!   ;)

Am kinda poor right now but still managed to add another title to my collection, in fact I purchased this title this past 1st of November but totally forgot to add it, never had a chance to play the two first titles and even before didn't saw or read a review about BloodRayne: Betrayal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BloodRayne:_Betrayal) decided to give it a try and only because it was very cheap, paid $ 2.45 bucks for it, after the purchase started to watch some reviews of it and only found one negative but I totally believe that the reviewer is an asshole that doesn't know how to play  >:(

Made a little trade on Nintendo Age. Those folks are nuts for stuff. I traded that 5-Screw Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! for Gemfire, Uncharted Waters, and Shadow of the Ninja. Not a bad trade for a game I paid $10 for!
That'll bring the countdown to 18 I believe.

Some more Vita finds for me to start off the month.

Gohastings had a varying percentage off sale on used games, so I got 4 games for the maximum discount of 40%, which of course they sent the 4 games in three different packages.

Hot Shots Golf World Invitational $6
Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed $15
Wipeout 2048 $6
Muramasa Rebirth $15. Looks like they forgot what "used" means here as this one is still sealed, despite what that sticker is telling you.

Also was able to grab a copy of Breach and Clear on the second go though. Glad they cancelled that jerkass order of 100+ from that one person so more people had the chance to grab it.

...and with Breach and Clear, that puts me up to 20 Vita games! Not a bad start since I started picking them up this September after my PSTV purchase.

Recently pre-ordered the limited edition of Fatal Frame 5 only to receive an opened copy with missing and damaged pieces. Currently waiting on a response from the seller. I'm hoping this was just a snafu with customs. :( I'm enjoying the hell out of my new copy of Aquanaut's Holiday though, even if it's aged terribly.

Went game hunting after meeting up with a fellow VGcollector and had one great find.

Not much from garage sales...

Wii
- Just Dance Disney Party ($2)
- Mario Kart Wii ($2)
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii ($2)
PS2
- Barbie Horse Adventures ($2)

Now store/online buys...

Amiibo
- Mii 3 Pack

XBone
- Call of Duty Black Ops III - Hardened Edition

WiiU
- Shovel Knight

3DS
- "New" Nintendo 3DS XL Hyrule Edition

Wii
Ordered a Japanese Wii for cheap.

DC
Won this in an Ebay Auction for .01c + $2 shipping. lol
- ESPN NBA 2 Night (only 1 game left for a complete DC collection)

NES
This was a Homebrew Kickstarter game that was made for a tournament.
- Retro Player Championship 2015

Now yesterday I traveled to meet up with Stethebubble at the galloping Ghost (a huge arcade, you name it that had it) after talking with him a while I go out game hunting in the area.

PS2
Saw this weird game in great shape, it was fairly priced.
- Mr. Mosquito

SNES
Saw this game priced at $30 and at first thought it was high then looked it up and saw it was selling for $50+  :o
- Skyblazer

And last I see this behind the counter and ask what he was asking for it. He said it was the box only and I tell him I'm still interested. I look at it and its got the Styrofoam and other stuff inside and it wasn't in too bad of shape. I ask what he'd sell it for and was told $30. Ya I bought it.
- NES Deluxe Set box (now my rob has a box.) lol

That reminds me, I need to e-mail NIS and ask them why I haven't been billed for my copy yet. They sent me an e-mail asking to confirm my billing and shipping addresses. So the Wii U one is out? What type of game is that anyway?

That reminds me, I need to e-mail NIS and ask them why I haven't been billed for my copy yet. They sent me an e-mail asking to confirm my billing and shipping addresses. I replied but a day later it said something was bounced back like it wasn't delivered but the e-mail that didn't take wasn't the one I replied to.  ???

That's one reason why I quit buying things from their online store. They started screwing up my orders, and not shipping stuff that I pre-ordered. Doesn't sound like anything has improved.

Just picked up Rodea at GameStop. After it took them 10 mins in the stock room to find, I go to buy it's like WOW, $60? Here's my money... wait, why did I just pay that? I'm so bad with money!

But seriously, $60? I mean, Legend of Kay Anniversary was $25. If we're being honest Rodea is technically Wii game conversion, and if we're still being honest, Wii is like a 6th gen console. This game should not have been more than $25 for the standard edition. Will almost certainly be around that ballpark by Xmas being a niche game on the Wii U.

Man, I always kick myself every time I buy a game on launch. Everyone else got a good game today. Where is my Fallout 4? ...stupid Wii U.  :-X

The Magic of Scheherazade - Bought mainly because the artwork :3 Music is kinda catchy too.
King Kong 2 - Actually a really fun Konami game. A shame it didn't make it over here.
Elevator Action - One of the few games you can crush people with an elevator!
Nintendo brand playing cards - Yep. After 125 years Nintendo still makes playing cards. This and "other products" can be found here (http://www.nintendo.co.jp/n09/index.html).

I cracked open Fallout 4 last night.  And you know, that lengggtttthhhhhyyyyyy install didn't even bother me because the little videos that play showing your 7 attributes were hilarious!   ;D   :P  I only had time to play for about an hour after the install, but the game is fantastic.  True Fallout.  It's not "up to snuff" in the graphics department with other current-gen titles, but it looks good enough and is a blast to play.  To hell with the naysayers and pixel counters!

But being that this is the "new pick-ups" section, I got three new goodies last night!

Swag
Witcher III - Wild Hunt Steel Book case
Fallout 4 Lanyard with Vault Boy charm (he's rubber)
Mad Max Magnum Opus die-cast car

Decided to give a try to another Simpsons title because I totally love the first seasons of this series and also because two (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_AfyK9PYfM) of my (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OzO2uVeh6Q) favorite YouTubers reviewers said good things about this game, am talking about Krusty's Fun House (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krusty%27s_Fun_House) even when there are a lot of ports of this I chose the one for the GameBoy, why ?, because of the details of the stages, because the animations of Krusty are well done also because this one is a lot better than the three previous Simpson games for the NES, the puzzles are simply fun, not that challenging just fun and for only 6.96 bucks it was a very good deal also my wife decided to finally give me a hand at the New Super Mario Bros. Wii (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Super_Mario_Bros._Wii) so had to purchase a extra Wii controller, gonna repeat her words when we went to the store: it has to be a pink one because am a girl, so I had to paid $ 20.00 bucks for this mothafucka, hope that she can really help me in the game  ;D

Last Cowboom Console Flash sale I ended up with a *New* 3DS XL Black. Not sure how I feel about it though, compared to my import "normal" sized 3DS. It seems too heavy or something, comparatively. Luckily they updated all the 3DS homebrew channel shenanigans allowing me to load it in a more substantial way so I can't get locked out of the Region Free option when Nintendo decides to patch things and not push a firmware update.

I'll probably go back and forth between them for a little bit to decide which to keep, but I am leaning towards the "normal" sized one, as the 3DS XL is too big for me to (eventually) 3D print my own faceplates. Seems the XL has less plate options too as it only seems like you can replace the backplate and not both sides like on the "normal" size (I could be wrong though, if I am let me know). I just wish they'd release the normal sized one here already in a non-bundle capacity but I'm not holding my breath for Nintendo to do anything that makes sense.

Also got a White PS4 controller from Amazon Warehouse for $34.

I didn't find any NES Games this weekend, but I grabbed a couple Genesis games.

TMNT Tournament Fighters (Label is rough, but it was $5)

Battletoads and Double Dragon (CIB for $15)

I don't feel bad about that at all.

I really want to buy Pier Solar for DC, but I keep not buying it because I don't want to wait 2 years for it to show up.  If I could order it and for sure have it arrive in a reasonable amount of time, I'd probably order it.

I really want that Tomb Raider collector's edition, but it being a GS/ThinkGeek and SquareEnix exclusive was no good, I need that GCU.

Semi-Related news: I really need to take a day off of work.  :P

I honestly don't get the hate this game is getting.  It feels pretty balanced to me and is a less complex version of other shooters.  While customizable, it doesn't have a million little things you can change.  While more maps are always welcome, what is there is diverse enough to be fun and keep me going without getting bored.  I liken it to Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare in that You can choose different weapons and customize the looks of your characters a bit, but just about anyone can pick it up and play it.

I've been in huge battles with AT-AT's stomping around.  I've raided the rebel base on Hoth and also fought off the Imperials there.  I've climbed the trees to the Ewok huts on Endor and watched the little guys scramble away.  I've fought my way on both sides through a Jawa village and watched the little bugger run and hide under their sand crawler.  I've flown an A-Wing fighter through the skies in a huge aerial dogfight.

I love Star Wars and I love this game so far.

If you saw the post on weird games you knew this was coming. lol
I few weeks ago I was looking up odd games made in Japan and came across this one, A weird game where you have cats taking over your business and you have to play weird mini games with them. Watching a video on this made me laugh so hard I had to have it in my collection. The box art alone gets a good laugh. lol

SNES
Found this CIB for only $3. Box is beat up pretty good but everything else is in great shape.

At the same use game store I got the SNES boxed game I saw this. It's a rare Colcovision game that sells for about $40-$50 loose cart. This was CIB box okay shape, but had the manual and game in near mint shape. This sells for well over $100 CIB and they only had it for $30.

WiiU
Saw this on clearance for $5 brand new.
- Game Party Champions

Even $5 is way too much. I got it for $4 brand new  2 years ago and got rid of that as soon as I could afterwards. It's AWFUL.  :(

Ya I know when I see some games on clearance, I think is it really worth $5. If it was used at $5 i would probably pass. Brand new shovel ware and most sport games is pretty much $5 and under is worth it just to add to add to my collection. I even like to collect the "Bad" games.  :P

I'm told it's one of XBox 360's hidden gems. I'm hoping what I hear is correct!

Some people really gripe about Ninja Theory's games.  But me, I really enjoy them.  Enslaved was a great game IMO.

Haha yeah I know, I was speaking generally. In your case I guess it's good, but it's the only good use I can see for it  :P Anyone wishing to play it should definitely revise their stance, though.  ::)

Forgot to mention in my last post that I also came across this at a local shop for only $4:

That a rare one now? I remember when I picked it up it was fairly common and inexpensive.

That reminds me - my bf told me that their GameStop saw someone return a Pip-Boy edition of Fallout 4 (still sealed).

When the sales associate asked why they were returning it, the customer said it was because she caught her boyfriend cheating.  Apparently she had gotten the Pip-Boy edition for him and decided to return it when she found out what he was doing  ::)

Just got a nice pickup from Half Price Books yesterday, they had a huge gaming lot come in and I've been going almost daily waiting for them to put the games out on the shelf. I'll post a picture of all my November haul after I get home today.

Nice.  Aside from new releases, my November pickups have been dry.  I've ended up with quite a few posters, display boxes and the like but not much in the way of actual games or hardware.  I'm not going to complain one bit though.  As for gaming, 2015 has been a good year for me and I've filled out huge chunks of my collection.

Nice! There's a location down two blocks from where my bf works, so he goes in pretty regularly to see their game selection. Sometimes some interesting things!

I went full-on "dude-bro" last night.  I picked up a Call of Duty Black Ops III "pack" that has a wallet, bracelet, keychain and dog tag in it.   :P

I continued my "dude-bro" buying on eBay where I picked up Call of Duty 1 & 2 (both GOTY Editions) for the PC, followed by four PS2 Call of Duty games:  World at War - Final Fronts, Big Red One, Finest Hour and Call of Duty 3 (which was just part of a lot).

Now I will hunt down Modern Warfare Mobilized and Black Ops for the DS, Roads to Victory for the PSP and Black Ops Declassified for the Vita and I will pretty much have all of the Call of Duty dude-bro shooters.   :P

Did some ebay-ing again... I got this beautiful CIB copy of Prince of Persia for SFC. It's probably one of the first games I bought for the cover art alone. Next up is Doshin the Giant for N64DD. I don't have the disc drive yet but the price was right on the game. The packaging is interesting. The final item is this limited edition GBC known as Daiei Hawks. The Hawks is a Japanese baseball team I guess. It's hard to tell from the picture but both the orange and black plastic is transparent. -Funky. The condition isn't as good as I though however. I might replace the screen protector because it's pretty scratched up.

Some of you who have played Animal Crossing New Leaf may recognize this next item. After probing around the internet for a few years I finally pulled the trigger on this 1971 Nintendo Ultra "Cope." Yes, it's suppose to be scope but they didn't spell it right. Later models corrected that however. This particular unit had been posted on ebay for about a year but the seller's asking price was really high. I messaged him an offer and he excepted. I'm super stoked.

My financial situation at almost the end of this year is not what I expected but still managed to add another two NES titles to my collection, even when in the past I had seen a lot of reviews even some from the HVGM (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/WebVideo/TheHappyVideoGameNerd) it was until I found the Cannot Be Tamed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJL4sP9i5XA) channel at Youtube that I finally decided to add the StarTropics (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StarTropics) title into my list, never heard of this title before but have to admit that it’s pretty fun and challenging also for only $ 5.45 bucks it was an excellent addition, the same week searched for some reviews of this one and noticed that there was a second part so decided to purchase Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoda%27s_Revenge:_StarTropics_II) after I read this review (http://www.flyingomelette.com/reviews/nes/zoda.html), saw a copy near mint at MercadoLibre for only $ 8.48 so here am I, now I just need some free time to play with this too bad dudes  ;D

3DS
Cooking Mama 5: Bon Appetit!

DS
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride

I managed to get both of those from GameStop's B2G1F sale. I had picked up Omega Quintet a few weeks prior and the associate let me return/re-buy the game and then use it towards the B2G1F sale.  :D

I bought Assassin's Creed Unity new from Best Buy's website for $8.47 shipped.

I've never actually owned an Assassin's Creed game before and I don't think I've actually played one since the original but I figured for this price I might as well buy it even though Syndicate and Black Flag both look way better.

I loved, yes loved, Watch Dogs so I figured I'll probably enjoy this too.
