Off Topic / Re: Secret Santa VGCollect 2013 reveal thread

I very much enjoyed my gift this year, so many thanks to my secret santa, it was a wonderful mix of snes, genesis, and atari games as well as a classic gaming magazine.

There would be an array of pictures, but I unexpectedly had to move over the past 2 days, and now everything is in a box somewhere, but rest assured it was a great gift, and well appreciated.

thank you, and I hope we do this again next year.

speaking of leaving gifts under the tree, I was wondering what other people did for gaming related xmas decorations.
I tend to take old controllers that dont work anymore drill holes in them and use them as ornaments.
would love to know what others do.

I finally got my gift sent out. Should make it in plenty of time.
I think i will fallow the trend of other people and when I get my package not open it until christmas.
Got to say I am having fun so far with this.

fun idea, I am also in, if you folks will let me. I know I dont post all that often. but I do quite enjoy the site and this seems like a good way of getting a little more involved. Let me know if there is some way I can boost my legitimacy, to put you at ease.

Classic Video Games / Re: MOST EXPENSIVE GAME!
« on: August 24, 2013, 05:18:27 pm »
I paid $210 for a copy of caltron 6-1. which wasnt too bad.
although if you count systems, I paid $500 for a Neo geo in original box (with a few games)

But i think just as valid a question would be, what is the most you would pay for a game?

Modern Video Games / Re: "HD Collections" / "Compilations"?!
« on: December 02, 2012, 03:19:40 pm »
I agree with many of the posts earlier, Ico/shadow of the colossus is a phenomenal remake, with 3d support added to boot.

I have become a huge fan of compilations. Ever since the ps1 days when I could buy a konami or intellivision compilation.
These days I use them as a way of picking up indie games that I might have missed, or just didnt feel like buying a digital copy of.
Some good ones are
Flow/Journey/Flower for the PS3
trials hd, splosion man, limbo for the 360
and to a lesser extent
Capcom digital collection for the 360

Site Feedback / xbox 360 burger king games miscategorized
« on: September 24, 2012, 09:59:03 pm »
The 3 games that burger king released
pocket bike racer
sneak king
Big Bumpin
are for the xbox, not the xbox 360.
even though they have the color scheme for the 360, they were an xbox release.

also, super happy with this site and I am glad I was able to make a minor contribution.
