Pro Wrestling for the SMS:

https://vgcollect.com/item/11338 - Pro Wrestling (No Limitsâ„ )
https://vgcollect.com/item/159129 - Pro Wrestling (No Limits®)

The 'No Limits' portion of the name is to denote the 2 versions but the duplicates listed above contain different characters, and should be de-duped.  The EU versions offer I think correct examples, and the 2 above should be made consistent with it IMHO: https://vgcollect.com/item/46351 and https://vgcollect.com/item/159130

This one cost me $25 today :(

https://vgcollect.com/item/2711 -> Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3
https://vgcollect.com/item/106042 -> Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island

The latter version's title ("Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island") is (IMHO) technically correct and it is also the more consistent naming with the other "Super Mario Advance..." titles in the database, as you would expect (Eg. there is no "Super Marios Bros. 3 Super Mario Advance 4", but there is a correct "Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3").

Confused yet?  Thank Nintendo!

Site Feedback / Empty Wishlist looks... odd
« on: July 23, 2016, 11:48:01 pm »
When you don't have anything in your wishlist, I see some duplicated text and a few place-holder images, which I assume are supposed to show something beyond their pixel size.  Here's a screenshot of what I see:

No Problem!  If it helps I just had the same thing happen with PS1, here's the error message:

Code: [Select]
Error Number: 1064

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 4

SELECT c.*, g.image FROM ds_collections c LEFT JOIN games g on g.id = c.game_id WHERE c.id =

VGCollect for Android / Any interest in a BlackBerry10 vgcollect app?
« on: August 04, 2013, 10:43:07 pm »
Just wondering if I'd be the only one that would love one.  I use the vgcollect website (which rocks by the way!!) on my BlackBerries but quite frankly when I'm in a store looking to see if I already have a game I'd like to buy and I can't get any coverage to check, it sucks :(

The fact that I can't browse my collection offline prompted me to dabble in prototyping a BlackBerry10 app (full disclosure: I work for Blackberry).  I'll be honest I haven't seen what the Android version looks like - my wife uses an android so laziness is my only excuse here.  The prototype is currently using canned json data since according to http://vgcollect.com/forum/index.php/topic,2237.msg36459.html#msg36459 there is no public API, but in the couple of hours I put into it so far I've got it viewing my collection and wish/sell lists.  Live data with offline caching/browsing would be awesome to add, so I figured maybe if there was enough demand that could happen.

Hopefully it's not too forward of me for just going ahead and doing it.  I'd love to open source it if that was a possibility, or even just give it away to whomever maintains this wonderful site if they want it!

Cheers,
BVP

Here's an odd one - I was browsing my SNES collection and it told me I had 3 pages. The 3rd page happened to have very few items, maybe 1.  On the 2nd page I deleted a game, and then tried to go to page 3 and got a PHP SQL error - basically it said a simple select statement was broken but really the query returned no rows.  When I clicked back in my browser (FF 22) it took me to the cached page 2, when I pressed F5 only then did my page 2 update and the 3rd page disappeared (i.e. the option of a 3rd page was gone, navigation bar showed prev-1-2-next instead of prev-1-2-3-next as before).  Also a few games appeared in the middle of Page 2 that *I swear* were not there before (but should have been) once the page refreshed.

Presumably I had only 1 game on page 3 and deleting a game on page 2 removed the need for a page 3 but the current page 2 I was viewing did not update to reflect that.  Also, an SQL error should show a nice page not a PHP error page IMHO.

RBI Baseball 2 NES

http://vgcollect.com/item/13458 is a keeper
http://vgcollect.com/item/42257 is a dupe

On a side note, a search for 'RBI Baseball' turns up both of those above, but oddly a search for 'RBI Baseball 2' only finds the dupe (42257).

I recently added 'Bomberman Pocket' before I realized it's actually 'Pocket Bomberman' for GBC and it already existed.  Sorry!

http://vgcollect.com/item/43600 - should be removed
http://vgcollect.com/item/18980 - correct

Classic Video Games / Re: NES Games You've beaten?
« on: May 18, 2013, 03:48:20 pm »
Are we only counting games beat without a Game Genie?  Because that significantly shrinks my list :)

I have beaten TMNT (yes, the original) but only with a Game Genie.  Once you try it you'll know why it won't appear on any 'NES games beat' list - the # of bad-guys that swarm you at the end is INSANE!  TMNT 2 & 3 are trivial by comparison, and they'll likely show up on every 'NES games beat list'.
