I was thinking of trying to see if I could get them through the PSN on my PSP and then I saw this article.

woopwoopwoop

no sony portable needed :)

UPDATE:

I forgot that XSEED is also giving away DLC for Ragnarok Odyssey which can be "purchased" for free through the PSN web store as well.  I just searched "Ragnarok" and got all the free goodies just in case I ever got 1) a Vita and 2) Ragnarok Odyssey ;)

Site Feedback / Launch bundles - style guide?
« on: February 26, 2013, 11:40:22 am »
Hey all,

I couldn't recall if this has been brought up or not, but I was wondering how launch bundles should be entered.  Things like The Last Story, Etrian Odyssey IV, and Radiant Historia had pack-ins with all launch copies, and then subsequent prints are sold game-only.

I wasn't sure if we add on something to the title or not, like how we do with other limited edition bundles.  And if we do add something, do we call it "launch bundle"?  "Music CD bundle"?

Just wanted to throw it out there because I've been thinking about it for a bit.  Thanks!

The wait for Ragnarok Odyssey DLC is finally over! Now available is our first batch of DLC, including 4 paid accessories and 3 free outfits with bonus cards and new music, all available in the PlayStation©Store (Go! Go and download!). And if that isn't enough, new DLC will be arriving every single week until the end of March. Now you too can be the prettiest mercenary(*) at the fort.

Plus, for those who don't have Ragnarok Odyssey yet or for those who bought the Mercenary Edition and were looking to add to your physical monster card collection, even more good news comes your way! We have updated our online store with quite a few new goodies: XSEED Games Store

-          Ragnarok Odyssey (Standard Edition)
-          Ragnarok Odyssey (Mercenary Edition)
-          Ragnarok Odyssey - Monster Cards
-          The Last Story (Standard Edition)
-          The Last Story (Limited Edition)

Whether you're looking for a classic love story or just want to be a lean, mean, giant-fighting machine, we've got you covered from every angle.

But wait! There's more!

If you order within the next ten minutes(*), you can choose a bonus item to be included with your purchase! Just click "Add special instructions to the seller" during Paypal checkout and tell us which item you'd like, choosing from anything that's currently being sold on the store for $5, or an item from this list of not-for-sale past goodies:

-          Lunar: Silver Star Harmony Musical Selections CD
-          The Last Story Musical Selections CD
-          Ragnarok Odyssey Musical Selections CD
-          Ragnarok Odyssey Mercenary Guide

Boring legal stuff:
- Valid only to residents of the United States
- Supplies of each item limited, only while supplies last
- All normal rules of our online store, such as $20 minimum purchase requirement, still apply
- "prettiest mercenary" is a subjective term and we make no guarantees that a 'Floppy Cat' hat will win you
   the Midgard beauty pageant
- "ten minutes" in cheap infomercial time corresponds to 2 weeks real time
- Do not taunt 'Happy Fun Ball'

They're opening up a signup list for possible preorders of a preorder-only physical edition.  Looks like the game is coming out for digital release only come launch day, but if they can reach at least 2500 preorders in the next week or so, they'll make a physical version.

Site Feedback / Prototypes

Double Fine released some prototypes for their recent public Amnesia Fortnight that are distrubuted through direct download and Steam.

Any thoughts on how the item records should look?  Does it go under demo? unreleased?

Brutal Legend (360 or PS3) is available for $3 with free store pickup (if your local shop has it available) at Best Buy.

It's available near me if anyone really wants it and it's not close to you (I can ship it to you).  It's a fun game and totally worth $3.  Gamestop has it for $5 used, which isn't bad either.

EDIT: Looks like Rhythm Heaven (DS) is $3, too.  I had a lot of fun with it as a rental and would pick it up if it were at one of my local stores: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Rhythm+Heaven+-+Nintendo+DS/9208591.p?id=1218059106517&skuId=9208591&st=rhythm%20heaven&lp=1&cp=1

Video Game Deals, Sales and Promotions / UDraw $10
« on: December 19, 2012, 05:20:20 pm »
For the diehard collector who has space for crazy peripherals that go nowhere...

UDraw is now $10 at Gamestop and Best Buy, supposedly, if you can find any in stock!

I'm tempted to get one, but I read the tablet is sluggish, etc.

Site Feedback / Stats page: Top developer
« on: December 05, 2012, 12:58:15 pm »
I realized that the top developer seems to change on the stats page based on your last added game.  I couldn't figure it out for a while why Atlus wasn't at the top for awhile, and today I noticed it said EA Tiburon for my top developer.  Considering that EA Tiburon makes mostly Madden games, I figured there was something amiss here.

I realized that my last added game, Henry Hatsworth, was developed by EA Tiburon (gawd knows why)...

Thanks for any insight on this!  I know the stats page is still a work in progress... just wanted to give you a heads up.
