Dark Souls: Remastered is finally out on Switch.  I know the game a bit (A LOT) better than I did during my very first play-through almost 3 years ago.  I managed to one shot the Bell Gargoyles, but the Capra Demon still bum rushed the hell out of me, but got him down on try #3.

I look forward to having my ass handed to me by the Artorias of the Abyss DLC, but at least I know what weapon scaling is now.

Oh man, I feel like there is such a fine line between horror movies that I enjoy and ones that I would consider favorites.  There are plenty that I *like* but I also recognize them as generally bad movies, so it can be tough to reconcile the two, but I'll give it a shot.

And, as part of my B5 rewatch: Babylon 5: Thirdspace.  I'm about halfway through season 4 now, but we stopped this weekend for Daredevil Season 3.  8 episodes in, and it has been fantastic so far.

Redundant means unnecessary due to the information being covered elsewhere - so in that case DLC would have nothing to do with redundancy.

However, if you are asking if DLC makes guides outdated / relative: that would depend on the game.  It is entirely dependent on what the DLC and updates do to the base game.  If the DLC changes the original release in any meaningful way (Destiny, FFXIV), then yes, the guide becomes useless.  But if the DLC is merely a bolt-on to the base game Dark Souls, Horizon: Zero Dawn) then the guides would still completely serve their original purchase, and be quite useful.

That's not to say the guides that become useless don't have some artistic value - I still like looking through the old WoW guides, despite the fact that they have not been relative to the game in a long time because they are well made, have good art and good lore bits.

It's PG-13, its tone is stupid, and it just doesn't work.  Hopefully Salvation is better, I remember kind of liking it.

No, it's R.  It's just very soft compared to 1 and 2.  Salvation, however, is PG-13 - and I personally hate it.

Video games, yeah that's fine, just don't go into detail what you like about them or your love for Final Fantasy. To tell you the truth "normies" don't give a shit what part of videogame culture you're into or what series you follow, because they don't really care... Unless of course you are with other video game enthusiasts.

I agree with the sentiment here, but not necessarily the advice.  There is no reason to lie, as long as you don't volunteer unnecessary details.

If someone asks what you did over the weekend the answer is "played video games" or "watched TV / a movie" - not "tore up this Japanese dating sim" or "really got all up in some yaoi".

This works, because as mark pointed out - most people don't actually care.  And if they do care you still don't have to volunteer the deepest darkest details.  "Played some stuff on Steam" or "watched some anime".

I've been streaming Star Trek: Starfleet Academy on PC for the past two weeks or so.

The FMV stuff is cheesy but fun.  The graphics have aged... OK I guess?  You can tell what everything is, and some things are way more detailed than others.

The biggest problem I am having is that I am playing with the keyboard vs. a joystick.  The learning curve there was pretty steep, and on missions where you have to do manual targeting it is a headache.  Overall, though, I'm having fun with it.

Otherwise I'm just waiting on Dark Souls: Remastered on Switch to release this Friday - and that is just to tide me over until RDR2.

I don't 'rush', but I don't necessarily go slowly either, often times there's a particular set of facets within the game I'll focus on and others that'll get left alone - either for a replay (if it turns out the game is worth replaying) or just to tailor a game's options to my tastes.

The 52 challenge isn't just helping me get games played in terms of getting them beat, it's helping me get through a collection that's been mostly comprised of unplayed games and also educating me on what my deal-breakers are so I can get rid of games which don't appeal, refrain from buying that kind of game in future and also recognize future games that are not my type earlier in play.

All this and then some.

I’m at around 35 Games so far this year, but a goodly number were sub-5 hours.  I also just generally like logging things and having goals.  Last year I hit 20-something but that was because I played a lot huge open world games that I dropped dozens of hours into.

So, I’d say that I play with a purpose, but I don’t necessarily “rush”

I had previously seen about 1/2 of part 3.  A perfectly fine follow-up to the first two films.

The Final Destination is atrociously bad.  Like holy wow it sucks.

Part 5 is a massive turnaround.  It’s as good as if not better than 2 or 3.

Also saw Venom over the weekend.  It’s not bad, but it has some serious pacing issues.  Takes a while before it really gets going and the it’s over before you know it.

Mega Man 11 was pretty good.  I’d place it right below 10 on my rankings, but I’d not consider that a bad spot.  The only games I would consider bad are 8, 1, and 7.  But when a series is consistently good as this one it becomes hard to stand out, and the slight downsides (mediocre music and sound design) are enough to drop it a couple of slots.
