Man, I just can't stop playing GTA5 now....  It is amazingly the little details that really make the game....

Are you willing to sell off any of the other items on your collection list (SMS stuff)? I want to give ya some money but none of the games on this list I could use.

I might be....  I've managed to raise enough to cover what I need for this month, and I'll be sorting through stuff just in case I need more for her bills next month so SMS might make the list....  I'll PM you directly if I decide to sell any of it before listing it here....  I've been super busy with everything that's going on so I can't say when I'll be able to make time to do anything else anyways....

The Uncharted 2 Fortune Hunter Collector's edition is one of the few that comes to mind that skyrocketed within this generation of consoles.

Yeah, I mentioned that in my previous post, but with unusual releases like that the rules never apply....  First off there is no MSRP on it so right away the value is a mystery....  Then there is the fact that they only made a thousand of them (if I recall the number correctly), and your only hope of getting one in the first place is pure luck....  I actually really hate releases like these because I feel like the biggest fans of a series get shafted this way just because they aren't lucky....

I have been pondering and believe that I have come up with a some what reasonable reason for collection hiding....  Maybe under certain circumstances you only want CIB items listed viewable in your collection, for example, yet would like to be able to personally see all of your carts so that you can tell what you need during scouting....  I don't think it is a big deal to have the option either way personally, but this is the only support I could even come up with in favor....

That is unless you are afraid of people seeing this: http://vgcollect.com/item/1175 for example....  That's right, I own it~!  So what~!

Try owning something with a more embarrassing cover than THAT.

Okay, okay....  Challenge accepted....  I'll see what I can dig up....

I'm sorry to drill your morale a little bit further into the ground, matt, but even though the design looks nice, I too prefer the shelf. It's just easier to use.

Well, I'm sure he will not necessarily be disheartened....  I'm sure there are many who will really like that layout, but its just not for everyone....  If nothing else, seeing this feedback will help him prioritize future features....

I think a nice complete Y's collection would be amazing....

I have just passed the 50% point for a complete North American Final Fantasy Collection :D (and I have a fair share of Japanese games too)

I will be honest....  I don't think I even know how many came out here....  I believe I have most of them though....  I count 38 physical US releases off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are more....  I didn't count FFXI variants at all....

I think some restraint really needs to start being shown in some of these cases....  I'm sure GTAV will eclipse it's development costs, but I can' imagine that Square TRULY predicted Tomb Raider to bring in over $200 million....  I fear Squenix has been suffering from the old "left hand not knowing what the right is doing" syndrome for a while now....

There are actually several missing features that were fairly low key before....  Some I miss, some I don't, but all should make a come back for their respective users....

Preordered Ys: Memories of Celceta Silver Anniversary today.  Hoping the cloth map is actually cloth and not some clothlike-textured paper...

I've had that Pre-Ordered for a bit, I'm under the same hopes....  Also KH 1.5 is right around the corner, so I'm psyhced~!

Classic Video Games / Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
« on: September 08, 2013, 11:41:34 pm »
The sheer volume of amazing games for the SNES still boggles me to this day.

I have the controversial opinion that Secret of Evermore is superior to Secret of Mana. It doesn't get the attention of Mana, but it's just so much fun to play, and with great music. You've gotta try it if you've never played it.

I just got Lufia II off eBay... never played that one back in the day!

Secret of Evermore > Secret of Mana

Looks like its not so controversial, lol~!

Classic Video Games / Re: Any real point in having a PS2 hard drive?
« on: September 08, 2013, 11:40:23 pm »
Ya I have my FFXI box and everything and I started doing the same thing w/ my saves. Hell I even found an old save file for NFS: Underground on my HDD that I thought vanished. Kinda relieved too I had some really cool cars on that file.

I've done this a couple times, but recently I have been considering moving everything to my backwards compatible PS3 and retiring the drive into its box to collect dust and acquire "value" over time....
