One the best I've attended, and nearly passed out from lack of oxygen, was from the punk-ska band The Aquabats! They played at a tiny in-door venue that included crowd surfing from the singer (multiple times) and it was jam packed like sardines with attendees. Full of energy on stage and great crowd reception, real exciting and enthralling show.

Isn't that the band that was on Yo Gabba Gabba?  My kid was huge into that when he was about 2

YES! actually the lead singer started the project Yo Gabba Gabba when his band really wasn't doing all too good. The Aquabats! have been around since 1994.

Nintendo 64 without question.

Besides Nintendo, and a few other major developers majority of software released by third-party were terrible.

I can't say I went to a particularly bad concert, well if you count a show with multiple artists I did. I had to sit though a performance by the Finnish band HIM. The lead singer sat down and smoked while singing and performing the songs. Lackluster to say the least.

I really hope this kickstarter fails, so Kenji can get his act together and release it without fundraising. At least release MN9 first, then go from there.

I've bought the Turbo Everdrive 2.0 without USB port and it works like a charm.

The only downside being, not having a exterior case. I keep mine wrapped in bubble wrap nonetheless. I use mine on my PC Engine console. Its really easy to manage the ROMS and load them up. Occasionally some larger games might not load, but you can always restart the console and try again.

Another benefit is being able to conveniently run/play newly translated Hu-Card games using your Turbo Everdrive.

That being said I still buy physical Hu-Card games I really like, usually CIB though eBay. But I admit having the Turbo Everdrive spiked my interest in furthering my PCECD, SuperCD, and ArcadeCD collection much more.

Runabout 2 was a game I enjoyed on the PS1 back in the day. For anyone who hasn't played it, it's a driving game where you are given several objectives to accomplish across a city landscape (usually smashing into and blowing stuff up) within a time limit. It's a pretty faced paced game, and has that arcade game feel, it's sort of along the lines of the Crazy Taxi series.

I just recently researched the series, because I only ever played part 2 and found out why that was. Apparently, the first game in the series was re-named for North America and they decided to call it "Felony 11 79". So they gave it probably the worst name in the history of PS1 games when they brought it over here, and the bland cover art is easily overlooked. However, Runabout 2 was brought as Runabout 2. Go figure?

Then apparently, another entry known as Super Runabout came out on the Dreamcast, which I didn't know about until recently. Then part 3 came out on PS2, but only in Europe for some reason. Lastly, there was a 4th Runabout that came out on 3DS and in North America no less, but they decided to call it "Crash City Meyhem" and give another sort of misleading cover art. What's the deal? Why didn't they just localize all of these games as Runabout?

I enjoyed part 2, and I'll be adding the rest to my wishlist in time. Anyone else ever play these games?

I only played the Sega Dreamcast game, always loved the variety of vehicles (including a pig!) and moped. Need to get around playing the PS1 games tho.

General / Re: What Game Do You Think Is Most Deserving of a Sequel?
« on: July 01, 2015, 07:07:23 pm »
Some retro revival sequels I would like to see;

Ufouria: The Saga (NES)
Wurm: Journey to the Center of the Earth (NES)
Galerians (PS1) and Galerians:ASH (PS2)

492
1. Super Mario Bros. 3
2. Super Mario World
3. Super Mario Bros
4. Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels
5. Super Mario Bros 2
6. Super Mario Land 2: The 6 Golden Coins
7. New Super Mario Bros
8.  Super Mario Land
9. New Super Mario Bros 2
10. Mario Bros

Growing up with the plumbers ever since Super Mario Bros for NES (which I still own) was great fun. Although I never was a fan of the 3D renditions of the Mario Bros series, also played up until Mario Sunshine for GC.
