General / Re: Game Room Pics
« on: October 05, 2013, 09:58:51 pm »
These are all pretty awesome! After seeing them it is quite hard to consider what I have a collection or even a game room, haha. I have about 30 - 35 games total, but I do love em all. I may try to post some pics of my room, (or man cave as my wife calls it), at some point, but it is quite lacking compared to these. Can't wait to see more...these all rock!

I picked up my Wind Waker LE yesterday, first thing when Gamestop opened. Didn't want to risk them selling my copy. They only got 4 total copies of the game in, 3 LE and 1 regular. I also picked up the CE guide with the cloth sea chart and the regular guide, as I wanted the poster.

Then today I went back to Gamestop first thing to pick up my Disney Infinity Jack Skellington preorder. They had a promotion for the first 50 customers get an exclusive poster with any Disney Infinity purchase, and I am a sucker for posters. Of course, no one was there for Jack but me, and apparently I was one of 2 whole people that even preordered him, ha.

I honestly say that now I am officially done with Gamestop.

EDIT: I forgot to add, last week, (maybe the week before so might have been in September), I finally found the 4 disc Final Fantasy VIII Music Collection at a used book store for about 12 bucks. I couldn't freaking believe it, I have wanted this soundtrack for a long, LONG time, and I finally found it. Final Fantasy VIII is my favorite FF, in case anyone wondered.

User Feedback / Re: disgaeniac
« on: September 21, 2013, 03:01:10 pm »
Disgaeniac introduced me to the site and I could not be more happy with our trade we preformed over the last week. I have had a copy of Suikoden II for a couple years now and was never sure I would be able to trade or sell it, but he offered to trade me his sealed copy The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition for the gamecube, and Twilight Princess, (in awesome shape with case and manual), for my Suikoden II, Breath of Fire IV and a Metal Gear Solid guide.

His items were packed excellently in a padded envelope, and as described. The whole thing makes me rethink using amazon and such if the transactions here are so incredibly smooth and friendly.

Thanks again, I am very happy about these!

When the game on the 16th comes out, does it replace the one that came out on the first?

And how is Vegas, for any that have played it.

I got a Wii U at launch, and have loved it since day one. Won't be getting either of the other consoles, have sworn off sony, and the new xbox just doesn't look all that interesting.

Only thing I have preordered is Wind Waker HD Limited Edition. It is probably the last new game I will buy this year as well.

Marketplace / Re: Looking for/Trade list

Here are my items up for trade. Some things I do not know how to categorize, so I will put them with their systems as best I can.

PS3

- Ni No Kuni preorder Steelbook, with the manual for the game. No game disc, just the steelbook. Has a few dents, but was the best one they had when I had picked up my preorder, (apparently these were dented at Gamestops all over.)
- Final Fantasy XIII- 2 Best Buy preorder book

360

- I have 2 Gears of War 3 CEs. No game, just the boxes with the cog medal and other items. One I looked through, the other still has tape on the flag with the other items inside.
- Also have the Art and Design book for Gears of War, that came with the Gears of War 3 version that had the Marcus Fenix statue.
- Ninja Gaiden 3 art book, (I think it was a preorder bonus, but not sure)

3DS

- Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan Music and art collection, (no game).
- Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers Arranged Soundtrack and outer box, (no game). Soundtrack has been opened as I listened to it once.
- Shin Megami Tensei IV Music Collection Disc, Strategy & Design Book, (no game). Soundtrack has not been opened

Wii

- Manual for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
- Manual for Super Smash Bros. Brawl

PS2

- The Art of Wild Arms, (I think it came with Wild Arms 5, but I am not sure, someone gave this to me)

SNES

- The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past manual and world map. The world map is pretty worn, starting to tear where it is folded.

PSone

- Metal Gear Solid Millenium guide
- Breath of Fire IV, with case, and manual
- Suikoden II, with case and manual

DS

- A Pokewalker that I believe came with Heart Gold or Soul Silver. Unused, still has the pull tab in it.

That is all at the moment. I realize I don't have anything to exciting, except maybe Suikoden II, but let me know if anything catches your eye.

I am mostly interested in trades, not so much buys, thank you.

Hopefully I am doing this correctly, haven't posted my list before. As I saw in another thread, I guess I can start with my looking for list, and then my next post will be my trade list. I will bold my looking for items that are what I am mostly looking for. I prefer black label, with case and manual.

- Metroid Prime
- Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
- Super Mario Sunshine
- Tales of Symphonia
- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Master Quest
- The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition
- Baten Kaitos
- Baten Kaitos Origins
- Summoner: A Goddess Reborn
- Mega Man X: Command Mission
- Mega Man X Collection
- Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
- Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour

Wii

- Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
- Kirby's Epic Yarn
- New Super Mario Bros. Wii
- Super Mario All Stars (only need the game and case/manual here, have the box and bonus stuff)
- Arc Rise Fantasia
- Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon
- Kirby's Return to Dream Land
- Kirby's Dream Collection

DS

- The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
- The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
- Final Fantasy IV
- Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
- Mario & Luigi: Partner's in Time

3DS

- Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D

Wii U

- Mass Effect 3: Special Edition

As you might can tell, I am trying to work on my Gamecube collection. Also, I am only collecting Nintendo related things.

General / Re: Retunring and need some input, (Zelda related).

I haven't been here in a bit, had much going on lately with new job, dying computer and moving. So I wanted to say I am back, though I doubt anyone knew I was here to begin with, HA!

I need some input from you folks concerning which Zelda game to play through while I wait for Wind Waker HD. I have Twilight Princess, (Wii version), and Skyward Sword. Of what I have played of both in the past, (haven't beat either one), I enjoy them both. However I did previously play Twilight Princess on the Gamecube, so I am not sure if I am going to enjoy the waggle controls here. Is it so bad, or is it quite alright and still worth a play through even if I only have the Wii version?

Thank you all, I appreciate it.  ;D

Aw c'mon DD...you know that I know/remember you (possibly from somewhere else as "darkrpger", though) - glad to see you're back around!

Yea, I thought you would remember me, as you introduced me to here. It is good to be back. Hard to find time to do much with everything going on the past few months, I swear the older I get, the less time there is in the day.

And thank you everyone for the replies. I think I will knock out Twilight Princess first then Skyward Sword.

If there was a Wii U version I'd be all about it. My brother picked it up though, and is enjoying it for the most part. Said there isn't anything that has really blew him away, but not having a bad time.

72
Picked up a few things in the past couple days.

Bought a red GBA sp, with a really great condition screen other than a small piece of dust inside.

Also bought a copy of The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, though it has a big "Not for Resale" on it. I guess it was used in a kiosk at some point. It is not the DEMO version though.

Found a copy of Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn yesterday at GS, in really good condition. Everything came with it, including unused club Nintendo code. Now I need to find Path of Radiance for the Gamecube. I'd probably straight trade my Suikoden II copy for one if I could find one.

Today I grabbed a copy of Fire Emblem Awakening, (again), and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky.

73
All your purchases are really awesome. Make mine seem lame in comparison, haha.

In the past few days I picked up:

VC - Mario Tennis from Club Nintendo (used my coins)

DS - SMT Strange Journey ($7)

Wii U - LEGO City Undercover (on sale at Target, get a $10 gift card with purchase and reserve of GTA V, which was a buck)

Wii - The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (had got a used copy from Gamestop that wouldn't play past the opening movie, so I ordered a new one with cd from Amazon, which I should have done in the first place)

GCN - Super Mario Sunshine ($28, at a used book store I frequent. Thought I would have to hunt this one down)

Wii - LEGO Lord of the Rings (Off Amazon, for $14)

Wii - LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 (used at GS for $16)

Wii - LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 (used at GS for $16)

Wii - LEGO Star Wars the Complete Saga (used at GS for $16, might have been $14)

DS - The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (used at GS for $25)

DS - The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (used at GS for $25)

DS - Chrono Trigger (my free game at GS during the B2G1 sale on DS/Wii games. Never been a huge fan, but willing to give it another shot)

I could have got a better deal on the DS Zeldas I am sure, but I had some credit and they had a sale going on.

My only guess is because the developer would rather have 2 sales than 1.

And I had issues with the disc version of TWD. The game lagged through a decision point long enough that I wasn't able to make a choice. Rather annoying.

Have I missed something with the Duck Tales craze that seems to be going on?
